So, without understanding any Norwegian: it looks like Isak is bi, and he favours females?
And the campaign against physically fit actors inducing body image issues and eating disorders seems to have worked. Couple of scenes where realistically Isak should have been shirtless but wasn't. Ironically it was the actress in the last scene who was being objectified!

Ironically it was the actress in the last scene who was being objectified! We don't know yet. Didn't he reject the girl who wanted to give him a bj in the first episode? I didn't like the development in the new episode either but well.. it's still early. I think we will see more of his attraction to guys in future episodes even if he is bisexual. Maybe the writers just want people guessing at this point, idk.

The new episode (clip.. whatever) was SO GOOD. We know the new guy's name is Even. He is a bit of a cocky guy. He was clearly flirting with Isak. It was so funny when whatever her name is interrupted them, and then she was asking to join their group and they were both like "noooooo" hahaha She is such an idiot though because she clearly didn't take the hint. She sat down with them.

I laughed so hard I cried. PS: it's sad that the account that subbed the show is gone Hopefully someone else will start a new channel and sub the new season.

I'm watching the storyline without understanding something Xd XD ahahahaha the only thing I may understand: Isak had something with this girl, she seems very interested in Isak, but he may not?? Is he interested in Even? Did you watch the very first clip this season from the party? Isak told his friends he was interested in this girl aka Emma. They kissed, "hooked up" in the bathroom. What's funny is she was gonna blow him but then he was like "nope", he clearly interrupted her before or during it. It didn't look like she finished and Isak clearly didn't enjoy it. He rejected her but he still told his friends that she gave him a bj (so they wouldn't suspect I guess). Anyway... she CLEARLY didn't take the hint as she is still interested in him. He isn't interested in her though. It's so obvious. Fast forward to Isak and Even smoking weed. He came up with all these excuses to not team up (there were going to be "food teams") with her. He said they were going to be teams of two and Even already asked him. She said "I'm sure we can be three" and Isak was again like "Vilde said two and two" but then he had to give in That girl did NOT take the hint. And then when she sat down his entire mood shifted. He was so sad In the last clip named Grindr, Eskild is talking to this guy on Grindr and asks Isak if he's hot. Isak is like how am I supposed to know (since Isak's "straight"). Eskild is saying you can still say if he's handsome or not. He says "yeah I guess he is". Eskild makes fun of this guy on Grindr because he says he's straight he just wants a bj or whatever. He has a good gaydar and he will come out tomorrow (lol). Isak asks how to know if a boy is gay. Eskild says "when you talk to strange boys about sucking dick". Isak is like "oh shit". Even made a joke about it. He said Vilde made them walk around in a dark room and if you touched a dick had to suck it. Hence the face Hope this helps. Ps: sorry this got so long. Don't hesitate to ask if you wonder about something else

Some speculation on my part after watching the new clip today... I hate to be a debbie downer here, but I just can't help it. I got a really bad feeling after the new clip. Even was talking about hot chicks in that interview he did. So I'm pretty sure he is closeted, or bi, or just an asshole who is stringing Isak along. I wonder if he picked up on Isak checking him out and just wanted to have fun with him, maybe so he could out him later on? That paper towel issue made me think that he is a bit of an asshole, taking all those paper towels for himself. Then I got a bad feeling about him talking about epic love stories in movies where the main character always dies. I'm wondering if it's foreshadowing? Maybe Isak or Even (more likely) will end up dead? Maybe that's why Even isn't one of the main characters this season, yet Ruby (Emma) is? I hope I'm wrong about all of this though. Nothing would make me happier than me being wrong. Like I said.. I just got a bad feeling.

Today NRK (the broadcaster of this series) announced that Skam has been sold to Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. The article states that Skam will air before Christmas in these countries. In Iceland the series is already airing, according to the production team. Source (in Norwegian): www.nrk.no/kultur/_skam_-solgt-til-flere-land-1.13172955 @overtherainbow I also think that death/dead main characters are significant themes or pointers to how this season might develop. During the previous season many were discussing whether Henrik Ibsen's plays were significant in several ways. I read a review in a Norwegian newspaper, where the reviewer described that the scene with Isak and Even in the toilets were giving off a romantic comedy-vibe, and that when they were outside on the bench, it seemed to be inspired by other significant bench scenes in Norwegian movies. Personally I would be very happy if Even had a laid back/relaxed attitude towards his sexual orientation. In the clip "Grindr" Eskild says to Isak that you would know that a guy is into men if he talks about blowjobs. In the bench scene Even talks about how they had to play a game where they had to touch each other, and if you could feel that you were touching a dick, you had to suck on it. Isak says "No?", and then Even says, "No!" and laughs. Isak seems to be written as a character who has the classical route to discovering he's attracted to boys.

Thank you for posting the clips!! Glad to know I will be able to understand the storyline now. I really hope they don't make this a tragic storyline. I'll just have to keep my expectation low, I guess.

I think there's a reason they included that part about epic love stories always ending with the characters dying. I just got a really bad feeling after watching it, like it was foreshadowing or something. I hope they don't kill him off, but on the other hand I won't be surprised if they do. I mean.. there must be a reason why he isn't part of the official cast. They added that new girl Emma to the cast page, but not Even. I think Even is just a guest character this season, so him dying would actually make sense. I'm not sure Even has a laid back attitude to his sexuality though? He talked about hot chicks in that interview, but then he also mentioned Captain America and Putin kissing? So he gave very mixed signals. Maybe he's bi? I get the strong feeling that he's bisexual, gay but closeted or straight and just stringing Isak along (please don't let it be this last alternative). Thank you for posting the clips!! Glad to know I will be able to understand the storyline now. I really hope they don't make this a tragic storyline. I'll just have to keep my expectation low, I guess. I agree, yet another gay character dying would be depressing. I just pray I'm wrong about this. I'll enjoy the storyline as long as it lasts. I guess we'll see soon enough how this all plays out.

I definitely think there is a lot of foreshadowing going on! My friends have commented on how they think it's unlikely that the production team will create happy endings for the main character in season 3 when season 2 ended with a happy ending for Noora and William.
I'm not sure about Even's level of laid-backness either, but I surely wouldn't mind if he was laid-back about whichever label that fits for him. If he has no problems with his label and Isak finds out he has no problems with it either, then it won't be an issue (theoretically speaking, only my thoughts). I think that the scriptwriter is aiming to give a peek into the doubts that can follow for someone who's unsure about their sexual orientation, given that Isak was hesitant towards Emma and has discussed boys with Eskild.

I think that the scriptwriter is aiming to give a peek into the doubts that can follow for someone who's unsure about their sexual orientation, given that Isak was hesitant towards Emma and has discussed boys with Eskild. I agree. I have a feeling they will kill off Even by the end of the season and that's why he wasn't added to the cast list, while Emma was. It sucks though, because I absolutely HATE the killing of gay characters. I guess there is a small chance we might be wrong though. Heck even if they don't end up together PLEASE don't kill him off. I'd rather them just go their separate ways than having another dead gay character. As for Even's sexuality.. I agree, I'd find it refreshing if he was comfortable with his sexuality, whatever that is. I think Isak needs someone who is sure about himself, not another one in the closet, that would just be too angsty. I have a theory... what if Even is bisexual and there will be a love triangle with that new Emma girl? Even seems like a bit of a player, so it would fit with the bisexual slut trope. I mean I hope not, I'd love it if he was gay, because I don't want to see a love triangle with a girl and also Emma is very annoying, so I don't want to see much more of her. I just think there is more to him than meets the eye. He is very mysterious. Why did he transfer to a new school for his last year? Why does he not have a FB profile? Wha is his sexuality? Does he like Isak? Etc. BTW, I think Isak is fully gay, not even bisexual, just gay. It's just a feeling I get. He tries too hard to come across as straight and he clearly didn't like hooking up with Emma. I could see this being a typical coming out story with Isak trying it on with Even but if/when people start to suspect he denies it and hooks up with Emma again even if he doesn't want to. Maybe when he finds out he wants to be with Even it will be too late? Sorta like a Romeo and Juliet ending? Ugh, that would be depressing so I hope not. My other theory is a twist, like for example if Even is bisexual and Emma and Isak both end up fighting for him? Maybe the first theory is more likely though, as they both seem into Isak while Isak seem into Even but not Emma. I guess it's also possible that Isak is bi and they both end up fighting for him. I don't see it happening though because I think he's gay.
