After watching the first video of this page it's crystal clear that Paulo's future is being chained and gagged in Miguel's basement. There are all kinds of red signs in this relationship, but that was a big big big overreaction. The guy is not even flirting with Paulo, and anyway Miguel was angry even before the guy introduced himself.
Frankly, i know the show is ending and i don't think a portuguese telenovela did before a gay wedding, but right now the only answer possible is to run.
Of course, portuguese telenovelas are very found on the "one year later" in the last episode, and that would make this more believable, because maybe in one year Miguel is more adjusted (or Paulo is used to obey Miguel's orders without hesitation and don't make eye contact with other men)

I am glad the show didn't backburned Paulo and Miguel after they get together, and that they are showing all Miguel's issues. I think their relationship will shake a lot before the end of the show

Overreaction is a tame word for Miguel's tantrum with that guy in the store. But yeah, it looks like the show makes them stick it all out. He may say no now, but I don't see Paulo needing much more coaxing to say yes. I don't really feel one way or the other about it, it's just pretty expected.
At least it looks like there will be some comeuppance before the end, even with the now more mellowed Henrique. Alice's and Romao's downfall can't come soon enough. I don't want them to die a quick death for it to happen though, it's a bit too easy. Yet it's likely to happen a little fast at the end, with the way the show is going.

It will end this week. Unfortunately for me, now it's hard to follow because it's the second telenovela instead the first, and several days they even schedule the summarize of that awful reality show before airing the episode.
Romao and Alice will pay their dues soon, but i have the sense that neither of them was the murderer of Fernando

The good thing about not really watching this show anymore is that the previews can tell you everything you need to know, lol.
What an end for Romao. Hardly surprising considering Alice and her utter lack of self-control always were his biggest liability, but still kind of unsatisfying.
The big reveal is finally upon us. Hopefully it won't be too much of a letdown (Josefa - stupid throwaway; Rita - dramatic but not really; suicide; or other expected or unnecessary culprit) though I wouldn't expect much considering how the investigation didn't build up as much as it could have on this finale and there ended up being too much else going on, some of which was just unnecessary drama. Putting it off to a relatively rushed end like this is likely to take more needed intensity away from it all as well.
But it was far from the worst novela and it's been quite fun for me to discover that I can sort of understand Portuguese (much better than some Brazilian Portuguese I've come across anyway) to a limited extent.

Well, given that this resembles of Ninguem como tu, the murderer it will be a radom passenger for sure. My bet is on Xana.
And yes, the previews are totally spoilers

The thing is, there were quite a few "clues" and anvils dropped about her as potential murderer and yet the show still probably thought they were being subtle and there was some big shock factor in this reveal, lol. The whole confrontation thing was a bit anticlimactic; everyone (including this viewer) seemed a bit over it. The wedding suits were so, so meticulously ugly. Really, so much effort seems to have been put into making every detail on those outfits look ridiculous apart and together. Also, seeing them with as many people around in the end once more brought home the fact that they've been some of the mostly insulated characters from other storylines throughout the show, especially Miguel in regards to his family. Alice lives on!

I have to give the show props for ending the series with a gay wedding, even if I didn't believe in the basis for any sort of romantic relationship between Paulo and Miguel, much less the speed with which they found themselves at the altar. And really, wearing shorts with a tux jacket to your wedding is just tacky. Duarte Gomes looked/acted appropriately ashamed of his costume.
Still, two beautiful men sharing a passionate kiss at their wedding is a high note on which to end any series! A collective thank-you to Ricky for bringing us the clips of this storyline from start to finish.

Alice lives on! Well, it was pretty obvious it was her. Romao and Alice didn't won anything by killing Fernando, and of all the rest she was the more obvious choice. The big problem with Miguel and Paulo is the show wasted to much time on Miguel harrasing Paulo. The actors had very good chemistry, but they didn't have any time to develop the challenges of the new couple. They did an effort to show some of Miguel struggles but nothing more. In my opinion it was more a question of time than them being isolated from the rest of characters, because in fact they interacted with most characters even the younger ones. The show was highly entertaining, with a lot of flaws (like every telenovela i watched) but fun to watch. And the fact that Alice is alive and kicking maybe give us and follow up in the future. It's curious but i liked that final, the actress is really gorgeous. And i liked they ended with the weading, but yes the suits were awful beyond belief. And Miguel repeated a bunch of times that Fernando probably won't accepted his relationship with Paulo, but frankly, i doubt it. Fernando was conservative, but Antonio was conservative too and he didn't have any problem with that. Fernando probably would struggle with the idea a little more, but in the end he wasn't a bad guy and loved his brother

It wasn't a matter of interacting with other characters or not to me, but specifically of being involved in those other storylines. Yes, there was interaction, but when it came to actually sharing about each other or really being involved, it would be in passing and mostly skin-deep, then it would be back to 2-5 minutes of Paulo-Miguel talk or issue of the day which wasn't necessarily all that deepened either. Time or lack thereof was definitely a part of it. They weren't necessarily the only characters suffering from that either, as a lot of it also had to do with the nature and pace of the show themselves.
I just didn't buy those Fernando reflections at all. Fernando's attitude in the aftermath of finding his brother in the pool especially more than said otherwise, IMO. It was just another superfluously thrown out thing that kind of took away from the depth that could have been given to Miguel's bond with members of his family.
But yeah, all in all, I definitely enjoyed a lot in this novela as well for various reasons.

Well, I spent the last few days watching the translated clips provided by Safe Light, here are some of my thoughts:
1. fairly boilerplate coming out storyline -- though having Miguel talk to his nephew's psychiatrist was a nice touch, as it showed that he really was attempting to figure things out. 2. The last couple clips showed a great side of the couple -- they both practically glowed with happiness at the end. The second proposal was one of the nicest proposals I have seen in any of the storylines I have followed. 3. I have to agree that the suits at the wedding were just awful - I kind of figured that they were trying for a flight-style uniform-ish look with the suits, but failed tragically. 4. parts of the storyline seemed very much like public service announcements -- not sure if this is a cultural thing for Portugal or not.
In my opinion, it seemed like Paulo really started to sound much more like Leo by the end of Miguel's coming out process -- showing some growth in both characters.

The actor who played Miquel was in another gay story line I found of youtube. I think that Portugal sees gay story lines as a public service message.
