So it's nearly over then. What a waste. As far as I'm concerned, their attempt to reboot the show may have gotten them higher ratings (I'll never understand how), but any sort of creative storytelling, proper acting, gay visibility and even the eye candy just evaporated. I can't even get angry about it anymore, it's just so sad. Violence and bloodshed seemed to replace drugs as the overarching theme of the show.
I know this is pathetic, but I just have to know: is Miranda JP's half-sister from the affair her mom had with the colonel friend of her husband's? Is that what the show has been about the whole time? Miranda torn between statutory rape of her student and incest with her half-brother? I can't even ...

Well, I don't know how much higher the ratings went, but since they are ending the series early, they clearly weren't high enough. I can't even imagine how they'll end the 'story' they barely told.

I'm thinking calling Ale a 'predator" as you did in your column is way too extreme... I don't think he meant it as in 'sexual predator'. I think he was trying to say that Ale follows Diego around, interferes in his life, and tries to tell him who and what he is when the two barely know each other. Diego hasn't shown much interest in Alejandro except for the two times they kissed. Even then, I still saw no interest! Just the trademark Diego stare.

Relaciones Peligrosas must have been one of the most disappointing soaps ever . It's a pity, because IMO it had a lot of potential to succeed: a) it was based on an already bullet-proof novela, b) it had a huge amount of very good looking people, and c) it seems that money was not an issue. I believe it miserably failed because of the lack of balls of the big bosses. Had they dared to deliver what they promised, probably the outcome would've been very different... We'll never know

We'll never know The whole reason this was a failure is because the central focus is on Mauricio Miranda bullshit what actually i think that whole story line is so stupid. some of the other story lines likes with Sebastian never got resolved. The one we all wanted to see is all chopped and screwed and there was no character development between Alejandro and Diego to make you think they even have feelings for each other. At least in FoQ all the stories got somewhat equal screen time and please don't complain that i'm comparing the two because i'm not i am just stating facts

Actually, the ratings have always been low, less than a million. Once in a while they get a high number, only to go down again. Telemundo's other two novelas in prime time have always higher ratings. Like many folks, I believe the reason for the failure was the emphasis on M&M, which was on before and after the retooling. I understand they are the main couple, but the prominence they got was too exaggerated. My theory is that this story was written for the actor that plays mau mau since the get go, Telemundo probably sees him as their next superstar, so no wonder if we see him starring in another story for them. Otherwise, there's no other explanation for the producers' obsession with him, more than anybody else.

The show's ratings remained about the same before and after the retooling. But they've really dropped off over the past month. So the changes did little good and ultimately made things worse.

This show is a mess and they just need to wrap it up as quickly as possible and let it fade into obscurity.

And why is that because the most ridiculous story line of Miranda And Mauricio and basically the lack of development of some of the other characters and everything basically all chopped and screwed

I must be missing something. Where is the confirmation that the show will end early?

The network has said the show is in it's Ultimas Semanas. AKAIK, that means 2 weeks or 10 episodes.

So it's been cut short to 90 episodes from the projected 120+ ? I'm sure heads are rolling as we speak. Telemundo lost alot of money on this. This whole thing makes me very sad. I really do think the the concept, the original concept that is, had potential. If you see the pilot and then the latter episodes you can clearly see a difference. But it seems like the people at top forced a complete 180 and well... the result is what we see now. If anything the ratings took a nosedive after the retooling. It's a shame because the Sebastian/ Alex/ Nora triangle would have been entertaining to watch.... well now I can finally come forward with this little tidbit... I know one of the original brainstormers/writters that were hired to develop Relaciones Peligrosas (Obviously this person and others were axed along the way) Do you guys know that one of the original ideas was not to include a "David" in the US version? Sebastian was going to be Julio and David rolled into one!

So... is the worst tv series of human history going to finish without letting us know the only interesting things it could have been broadcast? I mean: what really happened to Sebastian's brother and, possibly, the relationship between Diego and Ale. It's embarassing even the fact that this is somewhat considered to be related to «Fisica o chimica».

This must be the MOST commented about terrible, horrible, no good, show from people who are never EVER watching it ever again on the entire TGODT board.

If they did more moments with Ale and Diego at the beginning of the episode than it would have been more believeable

Such a wasted opportunity for this show.

Yes,,, apparently Diego wanted to kiss Ale and vice-versa,, they did,,, OFF CAMERA, and the first thing we see is diego walking out to the patio using his hand to wipe off the kiss from his lips.. then Ale is walking right behind him and calls out Diego on that behavior. The actor playing Ale is decent but the actor playing Diego showed to me once again how little acting talent he has.....

LOL, amazing. I haven’t really watched much of it other than when that lady (Eli’s Mom?) entertained me that one time, and truly she was the only one, but apparently there’s no point in even trying to watch more. IMO they should have just made it all around her then and called it a day. ;D
