I'm confused so did they show a kiss or not? It has to be the producers of this telenovela in particular because hasn't Telemundo shown male/male kisses before? I'm pretty sure they have. I'm ready to jump ship... I haven't watch an episode in quite a while... so today I'll give the show one last chance. I just hope we don't get too many scenes with the M&M's.

and also what led up to the censored kiss?... The boys have had no contact with each other on air that I am aware of for some time... so I wonder what kind of interaction they were having,,,

there was a kiss tonight it was censored but you actually see Ale pulling back from it and the father saw it So we don't see their lips touch a little? Not even when he's pulling back?

they showed the leaning into and the pulling back from the kiss but I'm guessing the lips don't meet,, which is the censored part...

what a worthless event... I can't explain why Telemundo is chickening out. I actually have faith in the audience, but telemundo has not give them a chance to get to know the Alex story. What a shame. The Fer/David story could have done wonders here in Spanish US tv. Excuse me while I go and watch some Fer/David vids.

I didn't see the lips make any contact. But it could also be that that part was cut out like last time. As far as I know, the actors did kiss last time (lips met) but it was cut. So it might be the same this time.....
And that pic was from when he was younger, I just loved his expression, it's funny in a cute way.
So here is a question.... With things like this. Who actually decides to censor things at the end? It it Telemundo (which is NBC) or is it the producers of the actual Novela?

It would be the producers, it actually seems like Telemundo was more liberal before it was bought by Universal. But now that NBC is calling the shots it seems like Telemundo is becoming conservative again. This is why I keep telling people.... write e-mails to telemundo. It doesn't matter what lenguage. Give them some negative feedback on their sensorship. Let them know that we, as audience, are prepared and want to see these stories.

I don't think it was when NBC bought Telemundo since this happened in 2002.
This is from wikipedia. So I'm not sure how accurate it it. "On January 28, 2011, Comcast completed its $6.5 billion dollar acquisition of a 51% majority stake in NBC Universal, acquiring control of Telemundo as part of the deal." it may be Comcast then. The Novelas before this time definitely had some same-sex kisses. Just a thought.

At least we know they aren't turning their backs totally on the gay storyline. However, it's been two weeks, has there been ANY relation between the two guys since their last encounter?
They fought, it passed, now they kiss, and Diego wants it? I'm a little lost, did something happen off screen or did it eventually play out until this point somehow?

We might be seeing the root of the problem.

Comcast is far too big to worry about things like this. It's a decision being made either by Telemundo or perhaps the producers of the show itself. And what the network did or hasn't done in the past is irrelevant and has no bearing on now, IMO. Policies can change as we've seen with other shows and networks.

I'd have to agree comcast is not going to worry about the nuts and bolts of the day to day operations unless they are losing to much money. If NBC Universal, controls Telemundo it may be coming from there but I doubt it. Telemundo I would say are trying to save the show but as usual they will throw out the baby with the bath water and blame the gay storyline for there troubles much rather than the underage sex, drugs or crappy storyline.

This was the sequence of the almost shown kiss. I honestly don't know why the soap didn't show it completely . Anyway, Diego doesn't hesitate at all, so I think their affair has been progressing off screen . It seems the storyline will go on, but its airtime has been reduced drastically, and nobody can argue now that the lack of balls to tell the story as it should be told is absolutely astonishing ...

I just tuned back in after a long stint away and ... what the hell?! Mau-mau and Olivia are seriously on their way to bed together? How did that happen? And the Gonz is now a murderer? And Max STILL isn't getting his clothes off?
There really is no difference between the stories before and after the so-called retooling. Mau-mau is unlikable as ever, his forbidden romance with Miranda is still centre-stage (and now they're giving them a kid?), Gonzalo is still wreaking havoc ... the only thing they seem to have dropped is the racist bullying s/l, I think they must have received too many complaints on the truly disturbing scenes under the bridge to ignore it. That and the back-burnering of the teens, our boys included. No sign of them for two weeks and then (having skipped several story beats) we get the insta-kiss (censored) and discovery by Daddy Bigot. Argh. I can't fathom for the life of me how these "improvements" have sent the ratings up.

You guys are right. Comcast is too big of a corporation to be worry about what a simple telenovela is showing (or in this case not showing ) This is just plain insulting and homophobic coming from Telemundo. I'm just shocked by the turn of events. I thought they were better. Unlike some I really do think the latino community is ready to see a prominent gay storyline.

Yes, it's a downer that the show was not shown, but at least this might speed up things so Diego comes out, or maybe pulled out of the closet in this case. I wonder if we will see more of Diego's reaction to having kissed Ale in tonight's episode. Or will Mr. Barón confront him now or try to suppress the picture off his mind and root for Nora as his Daughter-in-law?

So this turn was abrupt. Is this common in telenovelas? I was hoping for a bit more continuity and coherence in the storyline. We know that deep down Diego was feeling something, but after the drunken kiss he showed no outward signs of progressing toward acceptance. And the last time Ale tried to kiss him, he pushed him away. So what made Diego let it happen this time? Don't get me wrong, this should push things along nicely; it just feels a bit sudden. I'm disappointed they didn't show the kiss. I'm not sure why that is, though I don't think we can discount anything. It almost looked to me like they didn't even film a kiss (just a guess on my part). In a general sense, isn't it usually the networks that censor things like this? It seems like usually the shows (actors, writers, directors, etc.) want to do it, but the network usually stops or censors it. Hmm.
