I can't say I'm not disappointed with the way their reunion came about - Olli running back to Christian only due to Christian almost dying - which, as I followed the spoilers, was already a predictable let-down. Isn't being disappointed/let down by the actual episode a risk to reading the spoilers? Very true! I haven't been on the boards much this year, but I hope Nanna's ok since she was sick the last I remember reading

[....added another part of my original post for clarification, V.....] I am not ecstatic with the storyline, but, I was warned that this was the route ala the spoilers, so it wasn't a blindsided let-down at least. Isn't being disappointed/let down by the actual episode a risk to reading the spoilers? Sorry, I think you misunderstood me. I'm not disappointed by the actual episode because I got my hopes up with the spoilers. Quite the opposite, I was predictably let down from the beginning - as I was let down when I read the spoilers, and then, just as the spoilers predicted, by the actual episode. I.e., a no-surprise, long string of let-downs. I didn't like what the SL was predicted to be, as per the spoilers, and I was not surprised when I thus, also, ended up not liking how the actual SL played out. So, spoilers actually aid me in this way - I get a quick and dirty summary of how disappointed I'm going to be, rather than waste 10+mins with fresh, hopeful eyes, hoping that it'll get better, because I know it won't - as I've read the spoilers. Btw, thanks polkadottie! I want to hope for some depth, but, as my history with VL goes....it's better to be cautious.

Well Im just going to put my 2 cents here. I felt their reunion kind of forced, to me the kisses and happy reunion didnt feel natural. It was almost like someone took possesion of Olli's mind of heart, and tol d him to get back with Christian. I dont doubt that he never stopped loving Christian. But I do know that both of them hurt each other too much, I just dont buy that being near death can erase all your problems and issues. YES life is too short to be worrying too much. But its also true that life issues should be addressed. Im kind of happy that they are back together, but really dissapointed how they got there. In my heart it just doesnt feel that Chrolli is there...just an imitation. Ok, now you can ban me from Chrolli forum if you want

The beauty of this forum is that people can speak their mind freely (provided they are not offensive, of course). As for your disappointment, I understand what you mean. We've endured 8 months of the worst moments we could possibly imagine for our boys; months in which they hurt each other badly and did the most out-of-character things. And it may seem their reunion was too easy. However, I see things differently. I think that being on the brink of losing each other for ever, definitely, and Christian almost losing his life in the process, made them realize how precious they were to each other. Their scenes at the hospital to me feel like they are grateful for being given another chance. It's like they are thinking: first things first - that is, them being together and wanting to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course there are a lot of issues to be dealt with, but first there's the problem of Christian's health. After that I think (or rather, I hope ) the other issues will be addressed, one at a time. Now is not the moment for very serious talks or accusations. They were given a precious gift, they are enjoying it. Later, they will have to get to the bottom of their problems. And we'll see if the boys learnt something from this experience and if they have grown up a bit. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the tenderness.

I guess after these last months, we are not used to seeing them together. In my head, I couldn't remember the last time they were really like that, I mean so just happy, tender, cute and playful. I think it was before Lilly came into their lives. When were they smiling at each other like that or when was their last funny scene? I missed that too! Andin these last two episodes, we got to see so many emotions: gratefulness, happiness, relief, playfulness, tenderness, love.
Maybe it would have been easier to see them getting back together slowly. But I have to admit, I'm glad it didn't take too long. I think now that they're back together, they have to become a couple again, this wonderful and incredible couple we used to know. But it has to start somewhere.
I'm just glad right now to see them reunited! Looking forward to what comes next!

At some point it might be better to assume that in all these tender moments, which are not on the screen, a certain amount of talking is taking place. If that gives one comfort that the real problems are not being addressed and remain lurking. I also agree that a life changing moment like a "death or near death" can cause one to put things into perspective. Whereas Christian was having to come to grips with the fact that Olli was not going to be the central part of his life after the divorce, Olli was diverting his attention to those facts with Rafael. Only when he went away because he could not say goodbye to Christian when he though he was leaving for Brandenburg - did he show the first glimpse of how he was feeling about that. Admitting to each other that they love each other and want to be in each others' lives, forever, is the first start. Then they need to discuss that, given that basic fact, no issue can ever be so large that it cannot be discussed and worked out. Remember - everything is governed by the principle that they are in this for life. They know what it is to be apart and they know that they never want to experience that again. My two cents....

I like your 2 cents.
I agree, that it has been a long time since we have seen these boys happy. They are glad they are getting a second chance and are enjoying that.
I'm not sure why people think they should be having a talk at this point in time. Let them enjoy thier happiness. Reality has already set in a bit, with Chris finding out that his heart problem is worse then he had imagined and will be having to make some serious changes in his life. That is going to make them face reality right there.
Life will take care itself. So I say enjoy the boys enjoying their new found love and the snuggling and humor that we have waited so long for, because odds are, it won't last for long. I remember after the wedding, We got the next morning and then it started downhill the next day, with job worries and baby talk.

I agree with what you that it would be weird for the guys to start going through their issues just hours after Christian has cheated death and is recovering in hospital but at the same time we the viewers shouldn't have to make the assumptions that these issues have been discussed. Those issues are the reason these two were forced apart for over eight months and the reason for their divorce and as sweet as the reunion was and as great as it is that they are back together and for those of us who had to suffer through it we deserve some kind of explanation/ resolution other than they love each other and nothing else matters.

But that is the case. Olli said so himself. He gave up on Christian, even thought he knew he loved him and he never should have done that. Christian, also thought his love was the most important thing and that's why he didn't take the job, but then there was R.
They want to be together and that's the start. As Olli pointed out, techniccally they are divorced. They are happy now, but we still need to see where things will go from here. I just don't understand, why things have to be discussed right now, give it a week, maybe they will talk things through next week. Christian's not even out of the hospital yet.

I'm not saying that those issues need to be discussed straightaway, as you say Christian is still in the hospital and Olli is still getting over the scare of almost losing him. But if they are to have a future together those issues need to be addressed at some point and on screen. We and Olli need to understand why Christian is drawn to be intimate with women whenever they have problems and to be able to trust that it won't happen again. Christian need to accept that Olli has a deep desire to have kids that probably will never go away and Olli needs to understand that whatever decision that they make about children has to be a mutual one.
I guess I just feel that the eight months should be more than just as series of pointless arguments and shagging and that we should have gone on some kind of a journey with these characters which would have ended up with them in a different but good place rather than right back at the beginning.

The children issue probably will be addressed, although I'm not sure that it's any more important to Olli than Christian, just the means of having them might be. Immediate/foster vs wait/adoption. I don't think the women thing will be address. Christian shouldn't cheat with anyone and althought Olli claimed a woman made it hardeer, I don't believe that. The important thing is that Christian loves Olli to the point of his own life and that he shouldn't turn to others when he feels that he's lost him.
Time will tell and for now we can only discuss what we have and I think that what we have is pretty great.

No Christian and/or Olli today, and VL will be preempted by winter sports tomorrow. I will include yesterday's Olli scene in next week's video.
Have a good weekend, everyone.

You too MM thanks.
Really liking Helana with Daniel. She's a lot more natural. Verena's pregnancy is really showing. All the long scarfs and big coats are covering her belly anymore.
When and who decorated the flatshare. Did R do it before he left, because no one else had time too. The place was bare when Andi/Daniel came looking for Olli and all of a sudden when Jessica/Hagen/Dana are getting up the next day it's decorated.

Okay firstly I refuse to watch the episodes from when Christian cheated to Ollie saying he wants a divorce. Oliie is so unlikeable and while i sympathize he is his own worst enemy and everyone elses at that point.
But two things came to light from Ollie wanting divorce to Christian ending up in hospital.
Firstly Ollie unknowingly took the opportunities to stick it to Christian where he could. The divorce, it looked like Ollie couldnt deal with his feelings and didnt want to admit things so he destroyed Christian and suggested that. He knew that Raf annoyed Christian was made him even that more appealing. So instead of facing his anger and resentment and how much he did love Christian, he put what he could in there to drive them further apart.
Secondly them getting back together again was awesome but the rythem wasnt right. Ollie needed a huge wake up call, and christian seeing ollie next to him in hospital was great, but Ollie going to realization to "I want you, I cant loose you again" all happy like and then crawling into bed being playful, there is just something missing in that. Then next to christian bounding off he walls excitedly with Ollie was there.
It was a awesome reunion but the chemistry is out, I dont know if thats the writers or the actors. Maybe its the fact in the hospital bed that night they jumped to where they were younger again and playful, not mature and cautious after all thats happened. Ollie was gentle which was great but Christian i guess it should of been apprehension and being scared to have Ollie there the first time again.
All of Ollie's antics nearly killed him, the saying "your love is killing me" nearly did it with Christian, he stuffed up time and time again but Ollies rejection was what slowly stressed his heart out. His eyes always gave it away that Ollie is the only thing in the world for him, i would of expected more loving and tender, and more shocked that Ollie was back than jumping over the moon goofing around.
Dunno enough of my ranting for now......just my thoughts...

I can't quite put it into words but I feel like something is missing. like all of this is happening too damn fast, and yeah they made up and kissed and all that but it just feels a bit... empty? I don't think they will ever solve the issues they faced before coz it seems like the writers are trying to make them become some old happy lovey-dovey couple. idk i just feel like the passion and the chemistry is gone. maybe it's the 8 months of horrible drama dragging on and on that wore out my patience and interest in this couple but when i watch them now, i just feel really indifferent...

Oh I dont think now is the time to resolve the issues, I still think that takes time and at the moment its the realisation to pull your head in or else loose Christian for good.
But yes the last few months leading up you could see the longing in Christian that Ollie is all he knows and wants, but above all he will still do what he feels is best for Ollie and put himself second. I liked that.
But just the day before Ollie was angry, selfish and still kept driving Christian away, I expected him to be more devistated by Christians death, despite that old lady, a wreck as he stuffed up the love of his life was gone.....for good. I didnt get that.
Then at the bedside it was like all that was wiped away and not a reminent of that happened. I think your right "Empty" was the right word. Christian was ollies world whether he knew it or liked it or not, would of been good to have him show that or for us to feel that. On Christian you could see it, him saying "Am I in heaven" and how he was so relaxed when Ollie stroke his cheek.
and that night and next day, goofing around like 2 year olds after all that battle, the joking was funny as and prolly good the next time or morning, but that first night should of been in depth tenderness and intimacy, it should of reflected the depth of there love. It didnt.

No matter what is written it's never going to satisfy everyone, maybe there little talk will come in time, who knows, I'm just glad they are back together and it felt right. Olli and Christian were both broken and now they have the change to start over again, we don't know what's going to happen in the coming weeks, I will wait and see but I though the last episodes were very good.
I don't know what more Ollie could have done to show how despondent he was over what he thought had happened to Christian, short of throwing himself off a bridge he was in full effect showing his grief.
Christian and Olli still have chemistry in spade and out of all the couples on the show they actually give a more realistic portrayal of a couple who deeply love each other.

I agree about Jo/Thore's chemisty, the scenes in the hospital were wonderful, but I do get where you're coming from when you say that something was missing. Sonia, you said jumping off a bridge, I actually would have liked if Olli was almost hit by the car and the old lady helped him out of the street. Another thing that bothered me was that we saw Christian's connection to Olli, in after Olli cried out for him he came back and was stable. When Christian cried out for Olli, Olli didn't seem to feel him. I would have liked to have seen a connection then. With all the times that Olli pushed Christian away, it would have been nice in the moment for to see that Olli was still connect to Christian, but we never did. While he was with R he was so busy pushing him away. Christian call him and he ignored it. Christian was standing across the hall from him and if for just a moment he hesitated and felt something was wrong, even if he ignored it, it would have shown that he was battling to break the connection. I would like to see that. Charlie said that there is a special connection between the two of them. I've seen Christian's, I'd like to see an example of Olli's.

About the connection between them, it's a soap and fortunately it's not a snort one, like with clones, resurrections or brain transplant! I liked too to see the coincidence of Olli crying and Christian wake up, but IMO it's only a soapy thing; their connection is more deep than a sort of "telephaty", it's a natural correspondance of feeling and it's evident when they are together. Or, if you like this kind of things, do you remember Christian saying "Ich liebe dich so sehr" and Olli waking up? soooo soapy!
