You are reading too much in what he said, he said that he prefers Will and Sonny staying simply friends, not that Will must be chaste and not having any romance. One can agree with him or not, it depends if one want Wilson to happen or not, but he didn't imply that his character will be better without any romance. I think one of the issues i have (and other people in this forum, or at least i think that) is that no romance between Will and Sonny means no Freedie at all, because, at least till now, the show didn't invest anything in Sonny. If Sonny was at the same status that Will has, with his own storylines, i don't think Chandler words will get the same reaction I notice the Chandler Massey fans refuse to comment about his omission of Freddie Smith in his interviews. Freddie has always talked about Chandler in a positive manner. Freddie has also been very open minded about the gay storyline he is enthusiastic about it. It will come through in Chandler's acting if he is indeed paired with Freddie and the gay romance scenes aren't convincing. It will prove to fans that Chandler is awkward and terrible in romantic scenes. He's already proven he lacks passion and he has no fire in relation to romance on Days. It is rude and disrespectful to Freddie Smith for Chandler to talk about other actors while ignoring perhaps his most important acting partner Freddie Smith. And Chandler has done this many times in his interviews ignoring Freddie Smith he probably doesn't want to share the spotlight with his more attractive castmate. Chandler goes on and on about James Scott in the Frontier article and talks about their boring storyline. Days is going to axe to Will and EJ storyline because it was ludicrous it didn't make sense and connect with audiences. The Will and Sonny storyline is powerful because of both actors not because of just Chandler Massey. Honestly, I don't see the appeal of this guy he's just another blonde haired cliche actor. Freddie Smith has way more sex appeal to me and he's going to prove with his storyline that he can confidently play a young gay man. I am convinced Freddie is going to knock it out of the ball park. I personally would prefer Freddie to have a romance with Brant because he's better looking than Chandler and I think he's also a better actor. I also think since Chandler has a problem with Will and Sonny being together it would be a waste of Freddie's time to have an acting partner not enthusiastic about a gay romance storyline. I thought Brian and Sonny had better physical chemistry anyway. Also, I don't see anything fresh about Will and Sonny being just friends. There is nothing "fresh" about teasing an audience for AN ENTIRE YEAR and no PAY OFF! There is nothing "fresh" about wasting the audience's time telling people there is going to be a gay male romance and then continuing to prolong the audience to actually SEE IT. I see it more of being just the status quo of American television shows reticence to dealing with male homosexuality. The other soaps OLTL and ATWT did a better job with their gay storylines than Days that's for sure. Then all the months of Sonny and Will longing glances, leg rubs, flirting would be a waste of time. Days isn't going to hire a plethora of gay actors for Will and Sonny to be dating. I doubt now if Days is even going to give Sonny a gay romance. And your ignoring the fact Jose that Chandler Massey has a real attitude problem when it concerns Freddie Smith. Freddie has always been very fair to Chandler in his media interviews. When Chandler won his Emmy Freddie went on twitter immediately to congratulate him.

I did not want to comment but this is really fucking annoying and that's why i don't post that much anymore because people are arguing over petty bullshit. Why can't we all just watch it play out and be happy that the Sonny and Will story is finally gonna happen isn't that the whole purpose of the thread. Sorry for my language but it needed to be said

While I agree with you on many things VJay, Will and Sonny are a go... How many more spoilers and confirmations do we need!!! Whatever Chandler feels, Sonny is getting a romance and it's with Will. So I don't get how you can say there is no romance for Sonny coming. And despite what I may not like about how Chandler has composed himself I am not going to let that ruin us finally getting a Wilson romance.

The whole point in having a forum is so that we can discuss our opinions, rick532, so if it's annoying to you, I think its best to just ignore it, it's what I tend to do if I have nothing to say on the matter or nothing that's not already being said.
I'm just looking forward to the Wilson romance, and I hope we'll get more positive Chandler interviews in the future where he praises Freddie because Freddie deserves a lot more praise than he's getting.

I completely agree with you but it comes to a point where it's like you cant be serious. It's like instead of thinking about the good of knowing that the Will/Sonny story line is happening people tend to focus on oh he didn't mention this and that and it like who cares just be grateful that it's happening because that's all we wanted in the end

Chandler is not here and no one here knows him personally so can we stop putting words in his mouth and thoughts in his head based upon random interviews? All the boy said was he liked the friendship between Sonny and Will That is it. Everything else is conspiracy theories and conjecture with no basis in face AND no way to confirm. The storyline is happening. The romance is coming. Both Chandler and Freddie have said they love working together and playing these characters. Isn't that enough? It's a soap opera. That's all.
Making up stuff about what you think Chandler thinks about his storyline is, IMO, disrespectful and in appropriate.
You don't actually know what he thinks unless you live inside his head.

Personally, I'm optimistic that Freddie, and not Chandler, is going to be the center of attention and the shining star in this story. It's about damn time he is given his moment in the spotlight to prove himself.

When Chandler won his Emmy Freddie went on twitter immediately to congratulate him. Chandler must learn from Jake and Van, who constantly praise each other, that's what fans want to hear. But of course Van and Jake were good friends, and they have a lot of scenes together. Till now the truth is that Freedie is far from being the one who spends more time with Chandler, he has a lot more scenes with other actors than with Freedie. I find really unfair saying that Chandler is unable to portray romantic scenes. Will is gay, so is supposed that his scenes with Gaby must be awkward. If he showed passion in that scenes, that would be bad acting, because is not what the character must feel. But in his kiss with Neil is was passion, and anger and a lot of feelings. So i don't see why he is not going to be able to be good showing affection. We know Freedie is able to do it, because he did it before. Frankly i read far worse interviews from actors portraying gay characters and did not have such strong reactions. I know it's a long time since Sonny was introduced to the show, and a lot of people are tired to wait, but that's not Chandler's fault. And i doubt he has fear for the physical scenes, because he knows for sure that the scenes will be totally light, probably some huges and a couple of kisses

Frankly, Sonny hasn't been on very much in months. What is Chandler suppose to praise Freddie for? Chandler: Freddie was excellent in the 2 second scene we had a few months ago.

I wasn't going to comment anymore but I have to. Camille had all of one or two episodes with him after his coming out story began. Yet he praised her and not Freddie where as Sonny actually impacted Will as a shoulder of support on many different occasions. Even Sonny had more of in impact than Lucas has to Will with screen time regarding the gay storyline. So I am not following you at all. JMO. I hear people saying they want this to end but when I see responses like that I have to respond. Again, I just care what plays out on the tv. But I still see it how I see it and I see some major BS .

They were good scenes (some of them were quite cute) but nothing that rocked my world. I didn't watch them and go "oh my god" at the end or cry, like some of his scenes Chandler had with other actors. That's my personal opinion. You may have a different opinion.
