It doesn't surprise me at all they're bonding.
Their families are feuding and Sonny and Chad are going to want to put a stop to it. Plus, there is also Abby and they both love her. As for T, hell yeah he needs a beatdown and he will get exactly that if he keeps messing with Sonny.
Sonny is trying to be the bigger person right now but if T keeps it up a person can only be calm for so long before the anger comes. And something tells me Sonny will have no problem kicking T's ass if it comes down to that.

Seem like tomorrow not allot of Will/Sonny more like Sonny/Chad scenes.They are getting close and bonding more getting to know each other.He even defends Sonny.Tad i swear needs to get a beat down from Chad or even Sonny.His annoying me. Indeed, it is more like a Chad/Sonny scene with some Will/Sonny at the beginning. Sonny warns T he will hit him if he continues bullying. Then T shouts that Sonny likes guys. Chad comes and put his arm around Sonny and says that he (Chad) will not hesitate in punching T and that he (Chad) is not in the best mood.  I'm liking that both Will and Chad are defending Sonny. Next week Will will protect Sonny from T's revenge. |

That was really cute between Will and Sonny,,, they are rather adorable together in that preview scene. I wonder if that was one of the scenes Freddy was talking about where the two of them threw in a little flirtatious behavior when they assumed they were going to be a couple and wanted to foreshadow what was to come. (not that they still won't become a gay super couple)

From the soaps column on AE today " Oddly enough, several other actors on the show have indicated that the gay storyline for Will and Sonny is in fact continuing, but that the show is just playing it very slowly like Corday told SOD. And that’s something that our sources are whispering to us as well. To be continued..." At least this ives me some hope. I'm guessing maybe they're waiting to go ahead with the story because of all the old characters coming back? They need to implement them in storylines, and one storyline on Days, as we all know by now, is taking FOREVER. The Claire kidnapping storyline took almost a year to finish! Anyway... I don't mind WIll and Sonny being friends and letting their friendship grow. It will make for an even more compelling storyline when they do finally get together, like a normal progression of friends turning into something more. This is also a good way to make the story progress without making it too much "in your face" for the bigots. You know they'll complain anyway, but at least this way it can be easier for them to take it all in and maybe even get used to the idea. What I have a problem with though, and what I am concerned about is the hints. I don't mind waiting and taking it slow, but there must be SOME hints about Will's sexuality, some clues aboyt how he feels. I don't buy it if they're friends and nothing happens, then they have obviously pulled the plug on this storyline. All I want is some hints, I'm not asking for much, just give us SOMETHING to know how Will is truly feeling. There should be a gradual development, but it can't be like the way we've seen lately, there must be at least some progress, and at least let the viewers know that Will is indeed gay with subtle hints. Is that too much to ask for? I think they might have slowed this storyline down so it will all happen during november sweeps instead of september. Too much is going on in september with all the old characters coming back. BUT if nothing has happened by november, then I'm done with this storyline and the soap. I'll be so royally pissed off that I'll seriously stop watching the soap I've been watching for the last 15 years. Lets just hope it won't come to that.. I've never heard of this AE before, are their sources normally reliable? |

I completely agree, Dusky, they were so cute together and I love the innocence of it but I cannot wait for Will to realize he has a crush on Sonny. Oh and how cute did Sonny look?

The preview of Sonny/Will omg they are so cute together the way they are smiling at each other so adorable.Will asking Sonny if he has anybody in his life.Sonny should say i am waiting the boy i like his taking forever to realize his gay.

I don't think any of us would mind. ;D I know I wouldn't mind that's for sure! ;)But believe when I say that Ken Corday wouldn't even be doing this storyline at all the only reason why he's doing it is because.He's been called homophobic for years I think he's just trying to show people that he's not were lucky were getting one at all. |

They have always wanted Chad gay so that is no surprise to me.
But they need to give it up. I said before and I'll keep saying it...the only way Sonny and Chad would ever be a couple is in fanfic.

Some of these posts surprise me, because other than myself, I'm not finding very much of anyone around the internet who are pushing for a Chad/Sonny hook-up. Most of it is still very much Will/Sonny. But it's interesting what TPTB have given us on screen. Continuous Chad/Sonny bonding which seems to be greater than Will/Sonny bonding at the moment. Viewers aren't controlling that, the writers are. So the reason they're taking the Will/Sonny storyline slowly is so that they can give Sonny ample time to cozy up to Chad? Shouldn't the time that Chad/Sonny spend together be devoted to Will giving us more hints about HIMSELF? Hmmm......................

I think viewers who are watching for gay characters on a show are impatient. They want the gay character to immediate get a boyfriend or they want clear evidence of whom that boyfriend will be and if they don't get it, they just start shipping the gay character with any male character who's near by.
It has nothing to do with the writers, it's about the viewers who are watching just for the gay part of the storyline. Viewers fear that if Sonny doesn't get a boyfriend soon or if it isn't clear who that boyfriend will be then the writers will change their mind about Sonny being gay or he won't get a boyfriend at all.
I don't get the panic mode some folks get into on YT especially about this.
Plenty of straight characters get introduced on a soap and don't get a love interest right away. But if a gay character shows up it's like BOOM, "Get him a boyfriend stat!"

I think it's all in our heads at the moment because we know the spoilers. |

Next week is when Sonny ask Will to help him out.
I can't believe that a website storyline will last months? I am suspecting that when Freddie gave those video interviews he might have been speaking of Sonny's situation in the episodes that are currently airing (no love interest and the website thing) rather than in the episodes being filmed now...

I am sick and tired of people claiming "oh, they're just impatient" or "they don't get it" claiming us who question this storyline are stupid, and that they have all the answers. I don't like them saying that, because that's not what this is about. I said I don't mind a slow paced storyline as long as we get some hints along the way, and as long as Will and Sonny is the endgame. I don't even want them together right away, I want them to be friends first and then something more. But it's frustrating to see that all the hints about Will's sexuality are now dropped, and there's not much progress anymore. Slow paced is different from no progress at all. Slow pace does NOT equal no progress, and that's what we have right now, no progress. I would expect at least SOME progress, even though it was going slow, but that's not the case anymore. All the hints are dropped, and it's like the story has stopped, completely grinded to a halt. I would just ask of people to please be considerate and at least try and understand why we have a problem with the storyline right now. It's NOT the slow pace, it's the no progress part. Slow pace does usually mean some hints towards a guy's sexuality if it's a coming out story, but we don't even have the hints anymore, and it's frustrating, because the hints are gone and we have no idea where it's going, or even if it's going somewhere at all. The whole storyline might have been cut for all we know, also, it doesn't exactly help that we get mixed replies from the actors about this storyline. Casey and Molly said it was a go, but they're not directly involved in the storyline, and they never really mentioned that Will and Sonny would be together anyway, or if Will was coming out. Camilla Banus said it was a go a while ago, but who knows, maybe they changed the storyline? Also.. it's kinda odd that Freddie Smith, who should know who is love interest is gonna be, still doesn't know who it's gonna be, and we're talking about mid November here, the least. So.. for the next two months we're in the blue about this whole thing. It's just very frustrating. I wish someone could just come out and confirm it, or even say that they cut it, if that is the case, so I don't have to watch it anymore. To sum it up: it's not the slow pace that is the issue here, it's that the storyline is not progressing at all anymore, not even hints, which we used to get before, all the hints are now gone. |
