Days Of Our Lives - General Discussion

If this is the end, it doesn't sound like they filmed a proper conclusion to the show. Letting production lag by eight whole months between taping and airing was a huge mistake which consecutive regimes compounded instead of mitigating. But to be honest, the show hasn't held my interest in a long time. They've failed to evolve with the times for fear of alienating their older, conservative viewers, with the end result that they satisfied neither half of the audience. WilSon is just not cutting it for me; the actors are just too comfortable phoning it in. The characters I like are few and far between, and the stories they feature in are typically poorly conceived and executed.

I have to say that I'm not totally shocked by this. There have been rumors for years and years that NBC executives have been wanting to get out of the Soap Opera genre. I read that if they do come up with some sort of agreement for renewal that the cast will have to take a huge pay cut if they want to even come back. I feel bad for the actors not knowing what's gonna happen to their jobs I have to say I wouldn't blame them if they started looking elsewhere. They have families and bills to pay, and believe me Los Angeles is not a cheap place to live. I also feel bad for the fans some who have been watching for generations. I have to admit I've only been watching for Wilson, so I hope they can come to some kind of resolution.

When this showed up on my feed I wasn't surprised at all that this was going to happen. Granted I was a big Wilson fan from the beginning and even stuck around after Chandler left and when he came back but a lot of the recent stuff just pushed me away a bit and I slowly stopped watching.

How exactly & when did they get a chip to give Steve, Stefano's memories ?
How exactly is Steve's face a new face for Stefano given how long Steve has
been with the show ?
With the hell that Brent, Nick & Leo had put Sonny through, is there need to
have a redux of that ?
When James Read's Clyde had brought that there's an innocent man in prison,
hence, that it could be Will. So is there a chance that Evan had killed
Adrienne, it wouldn't be the first time for it, right ? Given that Will
was willing to go prison for Nick's murder, thinking that Sonny did it ?
The question that I have is that I had read that Gabi is going to be attacked
by all sides, meaning, that Steve will be back to put it out there who was
behind his bionic eye are the same people who had Gabi to have power over
Julie's pacemaker, how exactly is that going to work with Steve having Stefano's
mind set ? & with how the character of Stefano DiMera was owned by Joe Mascolo,
the same way Dorothy Gale was owned by Garland, with how the character of
Scarlett O'Hara was owned by Vivien Leigh, isn't it in extremely bad taste to hand
it to Stephen Nichols, given Mascolo's talents that he had brought to the character ?

I put a note in my calendar for their last day, 18 Sep 2020... It reads: End of Days.

They had a long run. It'll be nice to get the time back every day that I spent watching their scenes and fast forwarding the rest of the show.

Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez) announced on his Instagram that he too has been let go from Days and he filmed his final scenes on his birthday February 13 no, date was giving when his final episode will air yet just that Rafe will continue to air through the fall. Also, Casey Moss (JJ Deveraux) has also left the show having filmed his final scenes in August of 2019 since Days films about 6 months ahead. JJ's final scenes will air Tuesday (February 18, 2020)

Damn it is really coming to an end huh. I'm not up-to-date but I grew up alongside Will and Sonny (and other characters they have scenes with) I have been watching them for 7-8 years now (I was 16 when I first discovered them) Their story has a special place in my heart, watching them helped me get through some though times (being gay in homophobic family/country isn't easy) I hope at least we will get a happy ending after everything they have been through. God I'm gonna miss most of the characters but especially Will, Sonny and Marlena!

Guys I'm watching Will and Sonny again (I think this will be my third) but this time I decided to read the posts as I go and I'm having too much fun!

Like people though it will be Will and Chad (Chill) or Sonny and Chad (Chonny) even Will and EJ (master-slave), some said there is no chemistry between Will and Sonny (I thought from the first scene Sonny appeared they were destined to be), our boys are super adorable back then (they still are), everyone worships Sonny (I do too he was extra perfect when he first came to Salem), some was so sure gay storyline would never happen on Days and even if it did there would be no intimate scenes, right now I'm at when Will first kissed that Neil guy and everyone is freaking out.

I feel like I have traveled back to 2012, drowning in nostalgia. I'm not kidding it has been hours in my bed just reading. I remembered mrfixit477 I used to watch his video edits! He had a squirrel on his profile (I do too).
