Sorry to hear Miles will be moving away to boarding school. Dare I hope that his brother's problems will spur him to abandon that plan and stay on at Degrassi? I really enjoy watching Miles (and Eric Osborne, one of the show's top talents IMO) and would hate to see him leave. The show seems to be dropping heavy hints that Triles are endgame, or was that just wrapping up their story? This season certainly did not suggest Miles' endgame was Maya, much to my relief. She had enough of her own drama this year without dragging Miles into it. (I take it that, although it wasn't explicitly stated, Zig has gotten Zoe pregnant.)
Any idea when the show returns?

The clip with the therapy session seemed to imply that Tristan was the only person in his life he could trust, so whether or not they are endgame, their relationship is very important to Miles even if it is just a friendship. I don't think there has been word on the next season. It could take months. As an idea for timing they just announced there will be a season 2 of Jessica Jones, and they posted all those season 1 episodes in mid-November. Nothing about filming or a premiere date, though. I guess one of the disadvantages of posting all the episodes at once and binging them. There isn't the usual time passing so by the time the last episode airs you have an idea if it will continue! |

Just watched all the clips. I agree that it doesn't seem like they are trying to throw Miles and Maya together again. While I would like Triles as endgame, I'm okay if they keep them as friends. I do hope that the whole enemies thing is done with. If Degrassi get renewed, I'm pretty sure we won't see the end of Miles unless the actor doesn't want to come back. I just feel they left too many of his storylines open unlike when a character usually get written out. Usually, the only time that a character leaves with open storyline is in death, and since Miles didn't die in a overdoes, I think they will find some way to get him back.
EDIT: I looked on Wikipedia (not the best source, I know) and it said there was a 20 episode order, with it split into two seasons. Also, they started filming all 20 episodes in June last year and finished in Sept. This mean they already have next season filmed, so we will get that at least.
This reinforced my belief that this isn't the end for Miles since the actor was probably there for the filming of all 20 episodes. A better point to write someone off would be at the end of that 20 episode, which would end of next season. This also means that we don't really need an announcement that the show been renewed since the next season been filmed already. Would be a waste to just throw it all out.

Have some further thoughts about the season. I really hope next season, they actually give Tristan some kind of character development. It felt like he never really changed much from beginning to end. Miles had that whole arc that really changed his character, so it felt weird that Tristan never really did much except act in the background of Miles mostly...

Two bits of news: Season 2 is starting on July 22 on Netflix. Not sure if it will show earlier in Canada like Season 1. Degrassi has been renewed for Season 3 and 4, with 10 episode each. www.ew.com/article/2016/04/12/degrassi-next-class-renewed-seasons-3-and-4Chances are, they will film both seasons at the same time like they did with 1 and 2. Hopefully, this early renewal will allow them to plan out better long story arcs. |

He's rehabbing, non verbal. He's biggest appearance isn't until the final episode of the season. So he might as well be in a coma the entire season. But at least he's not dead! |

They have Miles go right back to making out with hot girls every other season though.
I never could help but think that if Tristan [deleted], they wouldn't drag on the character's love life like they do.
The show's fallen far from the Ziley days.
