Flippa! You live in London? I'm there like.. every other month!! I love London, debating on moving there after graduation.. My sister already lives there.. It's awesome! I will defenitly take photo's, I'll try to film, but I kind of don't want to watch the whole thing through my little camera screen and I think I'm pretty far away from the stage ... You guys have to help me though, they sell Born This Way shirts and I want to buy one. I wish there was a 'f*ghag' one, but I don't think there is... My brother's girlfriend went to the show yesterday night and she's completely turned around. She used to be extremely in love with Heather Morris, but she just texted me telling me she understands my fancrush on Darren and that she now has one too ! AAAAH, I can't wait!! So tell me, which shirt should I buy? My roommate is going to buy a 'likes girls' one, because they don't sell the Lebanese (which is way awesomer!!!!) |

@ Brechtje yes, I live in London! In fact, I can aaaaaalmost see the 02 from my window! Glad you like my city- I'm kind of fond of it too (and today was SUCH a glorious day I'm sure all the Glee actors are in love too!) Tee shirt- personally I'd buy a "I'm with stooopid" one ;D I'm with you on the "not filming" thing- people who get stuff onto YT always have better quality than be, so now I don't bother! But... exciting news... my mum offered to pay for a VIP tivket for me this week, but I'd feel guilty accepting (they are WAY expensive...)- what to do?  !!! |

What does a VIP ticket include? I didn't even know they existed and when I was trying to find an extra ticket for a friend last week the regular price already was like.. a month salary!! (okay, we have this saying in Dutch which really applies to me, 'exaggeration is an art').. But oh, well, if your mom insists ! As I said, my brother's girlfriend went this Friday and I saw her yesterday and she just wouldn't shut up about how awesome it (and appearently especially Darren) was! |

damned VIP tickets are sold out  But it included a ground level seat and meet and greet... ah well. C'est la vie, what's meant to be, is meant to be... and yes, they do cost an arm and a leg (see, we can exaggerate too ;D) I have friends that went at the weekend, and they are raving about Darren (and no-one else) too! |

Soooo, I was just in a bookstore near Darren's venue for tonight when two fans came in- I knew they were his fans because (apart from the Starkid sunnies and headbands) they pointed at a book called "Plugged" by somebody Colfer and squealed "COLFER-PLUGGED!!!" and then burst into fits of giggles. The staff looked utterly confused ;D
I walked past the queue on my way to the tube- let's just say I saw one male. And a whole lot of pink sunglasses.
Whole lotta screaming gonna go on tonight!
(also, I smiled cos in that venue it's kind of dumb to queue for hours, it's so tiny it doesn't matter where you are, you could still be in sweat-distance if he shook his head ;D)
EDIT: DAMN!! Just saw on Twitter that Joe Walker is warming up backstage...!!!! *fingers crossed he's there tomorrow too!*

I love his shows, and his ramblings between songs. They're always golden.

Just on my way back from Darren's gig. He was a.mazing... More later, inc my epic Joe Walker fail :/ [later...] Oh my days, epic Joe Walker fail on my part today. At the DC gig, I'm watching the stage, someone taps me on the shoulder and says, "excuse me, can I get by?" and you know when you turn and glance and say "sure" and look back at the stage, then do the "SHIT I KNOW HIM BUT NOW HE"S IN FRONT OF ME AND OMG IT'S JOE FREAKIN WALKER YOU IDIOT" thing? Yeah, yeah, that was me :/ Anyhow, Darren was amazing and wonderful and all the things we would expect and I will totally go again. The selfish part of me does kind of want him to move onto more mature projects soon, cos I'm not sure how many gigs filled with screaming teens I can handle mind you! Had to laugh though, there were two moments from the crowd that made me laugh (Darren was funny too) but anyway, when he was playing "Misery" and hit the line "ain't nobody who can comfort me" some chica yelled out "I CAN!" ;D And then during Sami, the crowd turned "Sami" to "Darren" which was very teeny, but very cute and made him laugh- look for it on YT! God, Flippa! I'm a big green monster right now! So happy you got to go and see him.. seriously, just watching your vids makes me me melt, let alone be there. I hear you about the teen girls though (sorry for the teen girls on this forum!), but I feel like that as well. Like, he deserves some more.. mature.. fans, or maybe more musically educated fans or whatever. As a (sort of, semi-professional) musician myself, I'm so freaking crazy about his musical talents! The stupid thing is that being at Glee Live I turned into a screaming fan-teen myself (and I'm not even a teenager anymore hehe), so I hope to see him live in a show of his own someday, like this. I think you can be happy with this audience though, as I see your video's. Seriously, in most of the video's of performences somewhere in America the girls just scream throughout the entirety of the song. I don't get that, you come to hear him sing, right? Why scream? They seemed to do that less in London ! I really hope you enjoyed it and maybe I'll see you some other time when he'll be in London again, I'll defenitely be flying out! Edit: Just saw your 'Back to Hogwarts' vid. Thank you for that. Joe Walker is so cool ! And, yay, you weren't dissapointed, he forgot lyrics! Also about that vid, thank you, because you kept clear view on Darren's guitar and I've been trying to figure out the chords to it for a while. All the ones I find on the internet just aren't completely right and now I can figure out the wrong parts by looking at your video and what Darren does ! Other video's out there are just not being helpful ! |

Charming, cheeky, funny, hot, and sooooooo talented. And, one of my favourite moments actually was when he was talking about "those guys here who don't know Starkid or my stuff" and some started to boooooo and he got semi-cross and was all "guys, that is NOT cool- I'm just grateful to you ALL for being here"- loved that (it's the teacher in me, haha!) Yup, that's what I mean- I have nothing against teen fans, but it's kind of obvious that they're there because they have crushes on him and the music is second, whereas- handsome as I think he is- I never fancied him in AVPM, but I LOVED and ADORED his voice, and then when I realised he wrote the songs as well, I was GONE! Screaming I think (having been at Glee) is because there's just so many emotions going on, that screaming is the outlet, it's kind of primal. At Glee I didn't care really, but I'm so glad it was miminal today, because his voice deserved it Anytime! However, I doubt he'll be here until this time next year now if he's gonna be a regular Oh the bromance between those two was epic to watch! And, FYI, Joe ain't that tall, cos when he walked past me the reason I did a double take was because, for some reason, I've always thought he was like 6ft, but he ain't that tall! And, of course, the guitar was all.for.you. |
