I agree that Brendan, Ste and Doug all share the blame for what happened. They showed poor judgment. I don't blame Brendan for not going to the police. We all know how useless they are in Hollyoaks. But he should have told everyone that Walker was after him. Ste should not have bought the gun. Doug should have refused to help Walker.

I really loved this episode.First Stendan scene was amazing Ste stopping Brendan going after Walker and being concern about him and the hug fangirl alert.Doug you are standing there can't you see it's time to walk away let Ste go he clearly loves Brendan. All Stendan fans cheered when Ste told Doug what we all been saying and feeling it made me smile.Doug you get out this my flat lol. Leanna butt out don't get yourself in involved in their relationship issues. At least Brendan was honest about the drugs that Cam took it wasn't his fault yes he sold it but he didn't force the guy to take it.Cam took the drugs. Doug jealousy, annoying issues bother me so much i can't stand the dude anymore. All he wants is attention and for everyone to feel sorry for him. Thank you! I used to love Stug , but now i can't stand them thanks to Doug. He's always so insecure and having a go at Ste. The poor guy has to walk on eggshells around him. I agree that Ste's heart belongs to Brendan. But i think he also cares for Doug. So at the end he's going to have to choose.

I understand though why Ste didn't tell Doug he was helping Brendan. Any mention of him and Doug loses it. All Ste has to say is "Br.." and before he even finishes there is a fight. He just wanted to avoid another one. That's exactly why i can't stand Doug. Ste and Brendan are just good friends and nothing more. What's his problem?

They have both messed up by not talking to each other. Ste should have told Doug he was helping Brendan. And Doug should have told Ste about Walker. I find both boys at fault here. Agreed, but Doug has to sort out his jealousy issues. If he wants Ste then he must accept that Brendan will always be in his life. They care about each other a lot. Why shouldn't they be friends?

I doubt this is the final time we will be seeing Walker, they left that open for a reason. BB should give Doug a pass for inadvertently helping Walker, because, ironically, it was Doug helping Walker that saved Declan's life. Exactly, Doug was driven by his emotions. He thought Ste was in danger and so he listen to the wrong person. But Doug lapse in judgement helped saved Declan, so I think Doug should be forgiven for helping Walker. Doug should have told Ste about Walker. But he was blinded by his jealousy for Brendan. I'm glad Ste pointed it out.

Omg! That was amazing! Ste hugging Brendan and stopping him from going after Walker. Then Ste telling Doug that it was his fault that he almost got killed and for Riley's death. Finally throwing Doug out. I've been waiting for Ste to do that for ages! Sorry, Stug fans! I can't stand Doug jealous behaviour any longer. Ste was right. Brendan being a criminal never bothered Doug before. It only bothers him now because he also likes Ste.

I think I've had my fill of violent murderous psychopaths on Hollyoaks I have no desire to meet the abusive, child molesting monster that "made" Brendan. Seriously, enough is enough. Dr Psycho, Officer Psycho, Gay Psycho, Granpa Psycho, Harlot Psycho All in one year. Poor Mitzeee didn't deserve any of the horribly crap that has happened to her and neither does Ste, Declan or Doug. I wouldn't mind if Brendan and Declan just went back to Dublin for a while and we got a break from all that violence and madness. I certainly think Ste and Doug deserve a few months of funny and endearing storylines instead of the non stop trauma drama train. But this is Hollyoaks! No one stays happy for very long! ;D

You know I saw a picture of Stug dressed up in the deli for Riley's funeral. So I'm guessing they are still together, though things may not be exactly rosy between them considering all that has happen. I wonder if Doug leaves or not. There was a spolier that implied he was going to.

I think it'll huge it Brendan's dad comes to town. He'll probably lose it and end up hurting him really bad. Or maybe he'll help Brendan out with this Walker situation. My friend thinks it's not Brendan dad, but Lindsey's father. That would be interesting!

I loled so hard at Dug saying Brendan was obsessed with Ste in yesterdays E4...oh the irony! ;D Anyway the episode starts with Doug hovering in the background looking annoyed again, because Ste has dared to send a text without consulting him first..... . Stug then have the same argument about Brendan that they have been having every episode recently. Surprisingly, I find Doug less unbearable when he's with Walker. Maybe I should start shipping 'Woug'? ;D. Doug trying to take Brendan down is more exciting to watch then crying Doug/whining Doug/posessive Doug. It's all set up nicely for Walker's revenge. I had to laugh at Ste introducing himself to the gunman and offering to shake his hand. Such good manners Ste but you used to be a bad boy yourself, you know that's not how it works... I liked the Walker and Doug scenes! Woug have chemistry! Ste was so funny today! ;D

But, you've also said that he just needs Ste's support, when the idea of therapy wasn't a factor. Has that now changed? Brendan has been abused as a child. Of course he's going to need therapy. And even then there's no guarantee. I think he should tell Ste about what happened to him. Talking about it might help.

Vanessa, you keep saying that Brendan has changed/is changing but I never saw him change. Or better yet, he has changed in HO Later but for the worst. Brendan is not able to control his anger, otherwise he would've never killed his grandma. I agree with you Diva, with the fact that Brendan's behaviour is now excused by the fact that he was abused when he was a child. Well, he's at least trying to do the right thing. He needs to confront his father and deal with what happened to him. And he's going to need counsellng.

You're right Diva, I sometimes forget that the Stendan storyline is just like a fairytale... Brendan, the prince charming Ste, the lady destined to marry the prince and Doug, the evil step-mother That's because he couldn't, he hasn't been with Ste since January and because Ste finally (seemed to) understand he had to get far away from Brendan as possible in order to be safe/happy. Between Doug and Brendan and their actions you really think Doug is the abusive one??? I've never seen Ste being afraid of Doug or to be with him or to be hitten by him or to get controlled on what he does by Doug. Ste's never been afraid of Doug retaliating by hitting him. Ste's nervous about how things are going to go, due to his need to "help" Brendan, because he knows how Doug feels about it. Yet, here's the thing though: he did it anyway and guess what, Doug is still there. Doug is still showing that he's there because he cares and loves Ste and wants a future with him. He just needs to know that Ste's in it. But, here comes BB. A man who already has his own damn place. Money. Since Chez isn't dealing with BB's bullshit anymore, BB could have paid for home nursing assistance. Could you imagine if Ste had done something against what BB had wanted him NOT to do? How Ste used to recoil when he thought that he did something that BB didn't like? When he KNEW that he did things that BB didn't like?! But things have changed. Brendan isn't like that anymore. He's getting better and is now able to control his temper.

I actally think Doug is the abusive one at the moment. He's trying to control Ste's life and that's wrong. That's because he couldn't, he hasn't been with Ste since January and because Ste finally (seemed to) understand he had to get far away from Brendan as possible in order to be safe/happy. I've never seen Ste being afraid of Doug or to be with him or to be hitten by him or to get controlled on what he does by Doug. Brendan hasn't hit Ste not because he hasn't had the chance, but becuase he's starting to change. Ste is constantly walking on eggshells with Doug. He can't even mention Brendan's name or it will end in an argument. Do you really think that's a healthy relationship? Because i don't. Not anymore anyway.

Sorry, but when Brendan killed Danny I didn't see one bit of remorse in Brendan. Even when he talked to Mitzeee in the car before she got arrested for stabbing Mercedes, he told her something like that she would've remembered what she did every minute of every day obviously referring to his own experience. There's a different between not forgetting that he killed Danny and regretting doing it. I don't remember a lot of the story with Pete, I have to rewatch it to believe it was really an accident. About Doug, creepy how? Besides, if what Doug is doing is being controlling, what would you call what Brendan does then? Stalking, mobbing, bullying... Oh wait, there is a term for it: abusing... Ila - Don't you realize by now. It's "different". There's no real and of this world way to describe the intense love that Brendan shows Ste through his fists, whispers in his ears of how stupid he is, that he and he alone understands the DARKNESS that they've both have had in their lives. The physical, emotional and mental pain they share is a siren call that only the special ones are able to hear and understand. Brendan hasn't hit Ste since January. Doesn't that show that he's starting to change? I actally think Doug is the abusive one at the moment. He's trying to control Ste's life and that's wrong.

The "sanctification of Brendan".... Love it. He's no sant. Far from it. We all know he's a bad guy. But at least he knows that and is trying to put things right. Doug was a drug dealer, responsible for getting that girl Charlotte in hispital. Similar thing that happened to Cam. I wonder how Walker would react if he found out about this incident.

Wait, what? Seriously? No one should kill and be understood. So because she didn't stop Brendan's father abusing him Nana deserved to die??? Apparently killing out of love/because of what a person did is completely normal. A serial killer who only goes after someone for a reason is redeemable and a really good man underneath it all. And for one last time, Ste was horrible to Amy, BUT 1)He was really, really young 2)He understood he needed help, he got it, worked his a** off to regain Amy's trust 3)He never expected to get back with her 4) He didn't MURDER anyone. So no, they're not alike in anything. One is a guy who made mistakes and was actually redeemed. The other is a sociopath who is damaged beyond repair. Just my opinion, but please stop saying everybody here is forgetting Ste's past. We're not, we just think they are 2 completely different people. I don't think Brendan is a sociopath. Sociopaths can't feel things. Brendan has feelings and is capable of love. That's why i think he can be saved. And he isn't a serial killer. I don't count Danny's murder, because he did it to protect Ste. The only one i'm not happy about his nana Brady.

i like brendan. i think he is a good guy underneath it all. he just cleans out the dross. yes, i think nana deserved to die and burn in hell. the old witch. how could anyone just stand by and let a child be abused. she could have saved his life, his soul. he could have been a good man, but how can he be when he can't even trust someone he loves? does anyone remember the good things brendan has done? he helped lyndsey with her job interviews, he taught thingo (what's his name?) how to dance for his wedding, etc. the goodness is in him, the same as Ste's goodness emerged after the torment he put Amy through in the early days. just wondering how many of you guys know what Ste was like before he came out. he was not unlike brendan in some ways. infact, he was just horrible. as far as the dead body, that was an act of love. brendan did this so that the dead bloke could never be traced back to joel. remember, it was fruitcake (but oh so hot) Walker that actually killed joel's dad AFTER telling him he is a copper. i, too, want brendan to have a chance. after all, it is a soap and reality can be stretched a little. what i really want - and you can all shoot me down for this, because i understand that many of you have very firm views on crime and punishment (and that is okay) - i want brendan and ste to have one last encounter (for want of a better word) together. i want brendan to tell ste that he is in love with him but that he realises that they can't be together. after i see this, i am happy for brendan to be carted off to pris. thank you everyone for contributing here. it really is awesome to talk to others about these shows. no-one else i know watches them. Great post ! Agree with everything! Except, i want Brendan to go on the run. After he has one last encounter with his Steven. ;D

Danny Houston was going to kill Ste. I don't condone murder, but i'm not sad he killed him. Nana Brady knew about the abuse and allowed it to continue. He shouldn't have killed her, but i understand why he did. He has suffered enough. I want him to have a chance. Wait, what? Seriously? No one should kill and be understood. So because she didn't stop Brendan's father abusing him Nana deserved to die??? No, i never said that. Murder is always wrong. But if Brendan hadn't killed Danny Houston he would have killed Ste. I don't agree with Brendan killing his nan. It was wrong. I just said i understand why he did it.

Everyone deserves a second chance, no matter what they've done in the past. I think Brendan is changing already and i'm glad. I want him to get counselling and have a normal, happy life. Weather it's with Ste or not, i really don't mind. Isn't this what you were saying before he chopped off a dead body? I'm not sure if I would ever want to see him lead the happy life, that same life he prevented people from having. I know it's a soap, but because it is not real, I can hope there's gonna be a small glimmer of justice. Danny Houston was going to kill Ste. I don't condone murder, but i'm not sad he killed him. Nana Brady knew about the abuse and allowed it to continue. He shouldn't have killed her, but i understand why he did. He has suffered enough. I want him to have a chance.
