I'm very lucky to have many friends as invested in gay pairings and storylines as me, so it's a common topic of discussion among us a lot of the time. I think, for me, it's a combination of many things. First of all, it's incredibly hot -- two beautiful men and then together /swoons/ Then there's the tension, stubbornness, drama and obstacles they must face -- it's interesting on TV but it's unfortunate that gay and bi men have to go through that in real life. I'm also a secret romantic so I love cheering on my favourite gay couples -- they usually have to work so hard to be together so their relationships mean a lot more to me than the average straight boy/girl couple who get together like this *snap*.

tubedout: Thanks for the uploads -- I love this couple to bits and have been tiding myself over the hiatus by watching your clips over and over again. So much thanks from a grateful Canadian! Geoff was clearly thrilled to see her, but he seemed very nervous that she not tell people about their past, and seems to distrust having her around his kitchen. It's like he likes her (as a friend) but thinks she's shady (which isn't generally how people feel about their friends). It's weird. I definitely don't think their past involved ANYTHING romantic, and he didn't seem to think she had any intentions in that regard. So I do wonder if her shadiness is indeed romantic interest in Geoff. Since he didn't seem to think she had any years ago. And they haven't seen each other in SEVEN years. I mean, if I were a crazy stalker, obsessed with a gay man, I probably wouldn't wait seven years to show up on his doorstep.
So far, I'm thinking that Selena is committing a crime of opportunity - she's in town (probably having left her last town due to shady dealings), looked up her old friend Geoff so she'd have a place to crash, and now wants to leech off his life, without a boyfriend in her way. Hmm, I think either something happened between them (maybe she was the one had mechanical failure with, ouch) or she's been the good friend who's had a long-time unrequited crush on him or something (though the seven years, yeah, that's weird). I do agree that she's probably done something shady and is now on the run, ignoring the many phonecalls she's getting and not really having a history to tell Geoff about (or keeping very silent on the matter). The suspense is interesting but honestly, I just want Pavel back to set things right -- I've missed them!
