How is the storyline of JP returning with a kid considered "never seen before"?
I wonder how they'll explain JP having sex with a woman, after all he went through with Hannah (and he hadn't even come out back then).

This story also tells people that there is a "good" and "right" reason to batter your partner, and that you can overcome beatings if you just love your partner and believe in them. THIS! Exactly. I wonder when and how the writers came to the realization that this would be a good story telling.. Ok, Stendan is popular but what about the message viewers receive? Regarding Pa Brady, when does he show up? After Brendan comes back from Dublin? If Emmett leaves in January, this means Brendan will stick around until end of March, right? I wonder if this storyline with Pa Brady is the last before Brendan goes.

Oh Gosh! Tina! I completely forgot about her.. She was my favourite between the McQueen sisters back when JP was there.

I hope so! Maybe Walker will be the cause for Brendan to leave/die or however his story ends. Actually I would've loved for Walker to stay once Brendan was gone (at the risk of HO ruining another brilliant character..) and I thought Walker's farewell was a bit dull.
Anyway, I was thinking about the spoiler of Cheryl talking to Ste through a bathroom door about his feelings for Brendan.. That's another example of how desperate they are to make Stendan happen. What normal person would encourage her best friend to go back to his abusive ex-boyfriend, even if that ex-boyfriend was her own brother. She was never pro-stendan because she saw how Ste was once she found out his story with him. Not only that, would Cheryl really push Ste in Brendan's arms when she saw him chop up a body? I apparently already missed the episode in which Cheryl got over what she saw Brendan do, maybe I will miss the episode in which she roots for the "true love" Ste and Brendan share..
Also, where will Ste's kids be when he goes after Brendan in Dublin?

I'm glad for Emmett that he is leaving HO. I don't think he still found challenging and interesting for his career the constant circle Brendan has.
Try to be a badass, get discovered by Cheryl, try to regain Cheryl's love, manage to do so, pine for Ste, mess with Ste and Doug, be miserable because Ste is moving on with his life, make a pact that he won't be able to mantain, share a "romantic" moment with Ste, punch him because he loves him too much.
I don't know about him but for me, if it wasn't for the Walker's storyline, Brendan's popularity would've ended a lot sooner..
Another plus side of Emmett leaving is that this hideous love triangle (as someone would call it) is going to end once and for all. At this point all that matters to me is that Doug can move on, Ste is going to be too much screwed up after choosing Brendan and going to Dublin with him.

I am not surprised at all that they are making Brendan hit Ste again, and I won't be surprised when they romanticize this gesture once again by showing us that Brendan will punch Ste to set him free once again. I'm partly glad that they are showing Brendan's violent side with Ste, because this confirms what I've been talking about since day one: Brendan won't ever change (and hasn't changed).
Are we 100% sure Emmett is leaving HO in Feb/Mar? I remember people hinting at it (also Emmett saying something like this is the beginning of the end of BB) but for all we know he could renew his contract by March..
I'm a little more worried about Doug, actually.. Who tells us he isn't leaving for good?
Here's what I think.. If Emmett does leave, I think they would keep Doug and not be done with Stug. Honestly, what would Ste do in the village without both Brendan and Doug (I don't think they would pair him up with JP)? Without Brendan in hte picture they could try to redeem Ste and make things try to work out again between Ste and Doug, afterall they didn't marry for nothing.
And I'm still a little confused about the Dublin stuff, are they going to reunite Stendan after Brendan hits Ste AGAIN (but hey, the last time Brendan hit Ste was last January.. almost a year, we should celebrate!) and then what? They are going to have a 2-month honeymoon fase with Brendan leaving for unknown reasons? Meanwhile Doug will be in America or worse back in Chester to suffer over the fact that his (ex-)husband will be all happy with his abuser?

From the new edition of What's On TV magazine: "Ste wants Brendan to ask him to stay in the village, but is stunned when he punches him."ha! So much for changing. I expect another "he punched me because he wanted to protect me by staying away from him" type of reasoning from Ste, then they fly to Dublin all happy..

I was wondering.. Is this crappy storyline still Emma's work? She left, what, a month ago? How long will her work go on?
She managed to create all sorts of hideous storylines not only the Stug/Stendan one.. The bullying of Esther, Ally and the Kanes (Ally and Lacey!). Even the Walker one had a horrible conclusion (thanks god the actor playing Wlaker was pure gold so I enjoyed him), and the Lynsey murder turned out to be all about Brendan and wasn't focused a little more on Lynsey. And the return of Silas wasn't all that great.
I wonder if she really decided on her own to quit or if she got fired because her storylines weren't working..

No Brendan, Ste or Doug today. Brendan was in the 'previously on Hollyoaks' bit but never appeared in the actual episode for some reason. It's a strategy called "This episode will be full of useless teenagers and storylines, so we will show you Brendan in the previously on HO summary so that you'll all be watching the episode waiting for Brendan to show up but he won't. Who cares! People ended up watching the episode anyway"

They really won't give Stug a single moment of peace, will they?
I actually was really looking forward to watch another scene between Doug and the kids and this time an awake Ste.
I don't believe Brendan's promises anymore, how many times did he say he needed to stay away from Ste (and all the people he cares about) but failed miserably? Why would this time be different? Because this time he made a promise to God? I wish they would do something different with Brendan, his character needs storylines like the one with Walker or else he just becomes boring (I don't buy the "poor lost soul" type of storyline they are giving us)

I'm glad that Ste woke up, surrounded by his family, minus that Jamie person. Definitely! At least Doug mentioned her to the kids. I was a little worried HO wouldn't show Doug with the kids, but only him being by Ste's side at the hospital. I'm glad they acknowledge the fact that Doug is Lucas and Leah's stepdad. And the dialogues handled really well the difficulty of explaining Ste's coma to the kids. I agree with you trini that Doug trying to be strong but being so fragile because of the situation was a heartbreaking moment. Once again kudos to PJ for his flawless acting skills. On a more shallow note, how cute is the actress who plays Leah!

Well it's "push to his limits" because Ste can't leave Hollyoaks and Brendan, it is well known that if Ste is at more than 10 feet distant from Brendan he'll be in danger! Oh, no wait maybe it's the opposite..
What I think is going to happen is that Doug leaves to be with his family for a while (either if he and Ste will still be together/married or if they will take a break from their relationship), prompting the Dublin stuff with Brendan. I do think that if Doug leaves, he will come back and maybe there will still be the possibility of a Stug storyline without Brendan and problems 24/7. Afterall Emma Smithwick's work will end sooner or later..
Anyway, it's interesting about Kieron and PJ photoshoot/interview.. If they're doing it together maybe it will also be related to their characters.

I'm sure this makes me heartless, but I really wish that Doug would just say, "I'm sorry, these aren't my children," and move on with his life. Ste is a burden to him, nothing more. Not because he's been injured - he's been a burden from the start of their relationship. Brendan is there, and we know he's a good father, as the show has told us this (he only hurts Declan because he loves him). Cheryl can be their new mother, since that Jamie woman can't be bothered. Yeah, and then Brendan'll teach little Lucas how to beat everyone up because that's how a real man acts like, and teach Leah that she can do every evil thing in the world but she'll be forgiven if she goes to church and find redemption with sick kids..

I am not in the least surprised that Ste being in a coma has become all about Brendan. It's been like this since Stendan began. Why would they show Doug (Ste's husband) deal with Ste's condition when they can show recently-changed-for-good-and-converted Brendan praying for Ste?
Actually I wouldn't be surprised if that dialogue with the kids that you guys mentioned was about Brendan again..
I can't even count all the times Brendan promised to let go of Ste, it's become one big repeat from his part. He says that he loves Ste therefore he needs to stay away from him because he's trouble and 2 minutes later he is "randomly" appearing at the most convenient time to bond with Ste again.
BTW, Jacqui finding out about the letter and that Rhys was cheating on her and wanted to leave her was pretty quick.. Now it'll be all about Jacqui trying to find out who's the woman (women) Rhys cheated on with.

I'm loving season 4 so far! I love the fact that they have been using Darren for at least one song per episode and that it seems they are developing him more as a character. I also like the NY storyline with Rachel (never thought I'd say this ) and Kurt. Also the new characters don't bother me that much, as long as they don't give Will more focus I'm all for the new new directions and their love triangles/squares. I hope they develop a little more Unique's storyline, though. I like her and it'd be an original storyline to show for a change. Now the main reason why I started watching Glee was for Klaine. I wouldn't watch if it wasn't for them and this season they are getting a lot of focus, which I love. Even if they are broken up I'm sure they will get back together, and I'm glad they are shaking things up for them (after last season in which they had the focus in 3 episodes at most?), and both Darren and Chris are showing what fine actors they are. Also, I don't mind if Kurt and Blaine spend a little time on their own and figure out who they are and what they want. Kurt with his new life in NY and the inevitable decision for his future between Vogue and NYADA. And Blaine needs a little time to affirm who he is in Lima and at McKinley and not be so dependent on Kurt and what he wants to do with his future.

My assumption is that yeah, Jono's death is due to internal injuries/bleeding, which I believe is not uncommon after a car accident when you're jerked hard into a seatbelt - that you think you're fine because you don't have many obvious scrapes or cuts, but the seatbelt itself can do a lot of damage even as it's saving you. Definitely. My grandpa died similarly to Jono. He had a car accident and was sent home from the hospital after a while because he seemed fine. Little they knew that one of the ribs punctured (don't know if it's the right word) a lung and he had a respiratory arrest while at home. It's not unusual for someone in an accident to seem fine and then discovering they have internal injuries. Anyway, I liked this episode too. Great acting from pretty much from everyone. Standing ovation for the actress who plays Jacqui! When Doug cries I cry, it's automatic and also Brendan was heartbreaking watching Ste unconscious. I was glad they mentioned Leah and Lucas, I was worried they'd forget about who was going to take care of them with Ste in the hospital (obviously no mention of Amy, not that she is their mother or their father's best friend . I'm a little sorry for Jono's death, I liked the way he acted in the last couple of episodes. Yesterday when he was the only one of the teens to keep calm and rational in order to get everyone safe and I was touched by his dialogue with Jack and with Ruby. Only negative note of the episode were Bart and Sinead, boring as hell.

So.. the aftermath of the bus crash.. All in all, I think it was a well acted episode. I'm glad Maddie died, and it was kinda fun to see how she died (it was as if all the HO viewers sent that thing flying over her ), plus after how she left Neil in the van and after she blamed Esther for everything that happened as if Maddie wasn't the one who was driving. I felt really sorry for Rhys and Jacqui (the acting by her part was supreme) but I kind of saw it coming for Rhys to die.. I loved PJ's acting and I am absolutely looking forward to see another wonderfully acted scene in his reaction at the hospital.

That sums up pretty much what I've ben watching the last copule of years of the Stendan storyline, diva.
Anyway, I hope that more than one of the younger characters die. They aren't great characters and this is a good chance for killing them. Maybe who's to die is some random who hasn't have focus lately, like Leanne or Texas..

I was just thinking about Leah and Lucas... While Ste is in a coma (and when he will be in Ireland), who is taking care of them? Doug?
I doubt Amy wouldn't come back to stay with her kids AND be by Ste's side while he's in hospital.

I found these spoilers for Stug:
Tuesday December 4th, 2012 Doug and Ste struggle to cope with the stress of family life
Thursday, December 6th, 2012 Surprise arrivals in Hollyoaks deal Doug some shattering news
It seems that Ste will wake up from the coma pretty fast and maybe without consequencies. Interesting the use of words "family life" hinting that they are still married, but I think the Dublin stuff is yet to come.

Well, now that she has a man, the safety of her kids doesn't matter anymore. She's got a man and that's all that matters. Wow, they managed to ruin another character in favor of the Brendan/Stendan storyline even without having her currently on screen. Totally logic that Amy wouldn't attend her best friend and father of her children's wedding just because she has a new man when she decided to leave Chester to find herself and not rely on a man in her life..

Now we have shows like Modern Family, the New Normal, and Glee. Well about Glee, you can't say the gay couples (Kurt/Blaine, Brittany/Santana) are treated the same as the straight couples when it comes to PDA.. The two couples had 4/5 kisses (just pecks) both over almost 2 seasons... The difference with HO is also the time the shows air, Glee airs at 9pm (last here at 8) meanwhile HO airs at 6.30/7. Brendan is being creepy, folding that picture the way he did is straight out how to be a psyco ex hand book. Doug is letting his fear of Brendan distract him too much from what is actually going on in his life. Doug and Ste still have the potential to be a good couple if they allowed to have a relationship without Brendan always around. Agree with all 3 points especially the Brendan being creepy. I really don't see him changed one bit after a week.

Why the hell is Cheryl back to "I love my perfect brother" again? Does she suffer from memory loss or something? I like Cheryl in general, she is fun, strong and one of the few women in HO that I like but when it comes to Brendan she really loses all the coherence. Does she really think that Brendan has changed because of 4 hours with a therapist, 1 week with a priest and a conversation with a sick kid? The man cut up a dead body in front of her eyes for God's sake! I get that it's family but come on!
Brendan won't ever change.. The way he "eliminated" Doug from the wedding picture and kept only Ste's part. Creepy. Brendan by now has proved that he doesn't want Ste to be happy, he may be say he loves him and that he wants him to be happy even if it's not with him but at the end of the day he has never done nothing for Ste or everyone else to believe that he really means it. Otherwise he would've left way long ago, but he didn't instead he kept interfering in Ste's life.
And Ste and Doug have great potential as a couple, I think they work well together. Too bad they used them for this "let's worship Brendan and everything he does" kind of storyline.
Side note that has nothing to do with the storylines but that I'd like to praise about HO: They really don't care about showing PDAs for gay couples, I gladly noticed during the clip of Stug and Tony/Cindy deciding to have combined weddings that Ste and Doug were the couple who kissed while Cindy and Tony hugged. It's not as granted as people might think and this is one think I really appreciate about this soap (even if I almost always complain about the storylines).

Doug is obsessed because Ste gives him reasons to be obsessed. If Ste will act like he really wants to be with Doug and Brendan is something of the past, Doug actions would be different I second this. Doug could tape Brendan confessing to the priest. If he does it is going a step to far and Ste would have right to be angry. The point of all this is to show while Brendan is acting selfless,Doug is being selfish. Doug going too far? In what way has Brendan been selfless? Since the beginning of Stug (even before they got together) he was always there, lending the money to Doug to open the deli, buying Ste's flat, being in Ste's flat while Ste and Doug were having sex for the 1st time, being there when Ste was upset for Amy and the kids moving out, moving in with Ste and Doug when he was in a wheelchairt, trying to kiss Ste when he was helping him when he couldn't walk, offering a shoulder to cry on when Ste snapped because of his mother, giving said mother money to leave the town. He even put Ste's life in danger by making him buy a gun and not telling the truth about Walker. Sorry but I don't see the selfless part, Brendan is everything but selfless when it comes to Ste. Well, if the scenes are airing at the end of December it could be that Ste gets out of the hospital by that time.

Of course Ste will be angry at Doug, heartbroken because Doug recorded Brendan confessing he is a murderer.. How can Doug not get that Brendan killed Danny to protect Ste and that counts as a good action..
Convenient how Ste always gets to discover what Doug does (like helping Walker a few weeks ago and helping the poilce to bring Brendan down now) but somehow never actually finds out who Brendan really is (killing his grandma, chopping up a body, almost killing Joel's dad..). Though I think that if Ste knew all about Brendan, they'd still find ways for Ste to forgive him just like they always do with Cheryl.
Anyway, do we know when are the Dublin scenes supposed to air? If they're not for a dream sequence there should be a certain amount of time for Ste to ricover from the coma and all the injuries to allow him to go to Dublin (and in the pictures he seems perfectly fine).
I hope they don't do the "I lost my memory so I will follow my heart to choose between my husband and my former abuser" storyline because the thought of it is not appealing at all.
