Hey everyone I am still here honest. I've been doing all amounts of craziness until I just crashed and burnt so I've not been very productive recently. Then, of course, this week went insane and I was busy every night (it would happen in Torchwood week which is annoying enough but then I got spoiled and was even more annoyed at finding spoilers in a supposedly spoiler free zone!!) But I thought I should make an appearance so you all don't think I've forgotten you.

*lurks with intent* No more spying updates. I do, however, have an interview next week.

Case File # 1.02 - New Neighbour WatchObservations so far: Car never on drive overnight, appearing about 10am in morning but gone by about 6pm. I suspect they have not properly moved in yet but are perhaps decorating. This would also explain: - No lights on in the evenings/nightimes.
- Sounds of hammering/drilling during daytime.
Garden spying (aka hanging up the washing/sunbathing) has not revealed any further information. There has been no sight/sound from Big Dog since Monday. There has been no sight of actual humans although voices and laughter can occasionally be heard. Further note: Interesting van parked outside yesterday with rear window sticker reading “Life’s a Witch and then you Fly.” I think we’ll get on well when they make their presence known. More updates when available. Nancy-Lou Drew.Unrelated note:Louisa - I'm guessing that fangirly moment was a Merlin one Merlin? Me? Wherever did you get such an idea?

Interesting Development
We have new neighbours.
They are undoubtedly a sneaky bunch because they moved in on Saturday when I was nowhere near here (and was in fact having a fangirly moment in London) so I was unable to spy on them from my bedroom-window-that-sees-all.
In the same mysterious fashion my mother has also not uncovered any information about them.
We do know this: a) They have a nice car.
b) They have a dog. It sounds like a large dog, from it's bark anyway. It terrifies my poor kitties.
c) I heard a man's voice talking to the dog, so I am assuming there is at least one man there.
That is it. More updates as and when my observations reveal anything!

*drive by update* The best word to describe me at the moment is: blah. Or possibly, beige. My life is beige. I do...not much. Except Merlin craziness. Which is good, I will not dispute that. But...*sigh* Well, aside from the beige I have...er...wine? And Ollian who I love

Lol.... ;D Now all you have to do is find a way to watch Dutch tv and than you'll have a whole new experience: Merlin with dutch subtitles... ;D I would totally do that!

O btw, they are airing Merlin here as well. If only I remembered to watch on Saturdays... I think I just deafened myself with an excited squawk.

Ah, you're here now... Congrats with you 'littest little' brother. And always good to know you still 'have it'. ;D I'm not sure my ability to drink copious amounts of wine is going to make it onto my CV though. I was also impressed with the fact that we all managed to stay awake until 5am...but as it was the day the clocks went forward it was really 6am. (And no one was sick which is always a blessing!)

*gasps in horror* It's sooooo long since I posted in here I don't even want to think about it! Worse, I've barely done anything exciting to tell you all about. Littlest Little Brother had his eighteenth birthday. His party was rather interesting I was the oldest one there by a good...four years (but I felt much older!) Managed to best some of the guys in the drinking games though which I was sadly quite proud about. *sigh*

Amber I was only in for cover for a week so I've finished...but already booked for more holiday cover in a few weeks time so more stories then I was very good re: some Hollyoaks spoilers so I actually had a call from HB last night going *gasp* 'You never told me that! Now tell me everything you know because I'll never last until you come back again.' Sheepie I'm going in to have a look round and meet all the volunteers on Wednesday this week. I know it's going to be tough but I'm really looking forward to it!!

First of all, belated congrats to Neand and birthday wishes to RestE - I am so behind it's terrible! I have been back at the office this week. For a couple of days I took the other desk in Hollyoaks Boy's (hereafter to be known as HB because I am too lazy to write it out every time. And, yes, I realise the irony of this incredibly long explanation) office. (<one crazy sentence that I am not going to rewrite so nah). I have had the joyous joy of sending out many, many letters regarding VAT and other financial matters that I simply do not understand to the majority of our UK customers - so around 500 companies. Luckily the majority of our customers are foreign and don't need letters, otherwise I'd be looking at thousands. Naturally, such vast amounts of letters required printing. Which required the use of office equipment such as the network printer. Oh the glee I had at watching managers attempting to use that! Especially when it ran out of paper. And printing our freepost reply envelopes - well that sent all but the most resilient of the finance dept screaming from the printing room. Anyhow, it was lovely being back amongst people and actually working! HB and I had many conversations, including who we would kill off in Hollyoaks if we could. He believes that I secretly work for them because I a) give him spoilers (but only when he asks, of course) b) often go "I hate X I wish they'd leave" and then they do, which he thinks is a coded spoiler. But it isn't. It was most pleasant until yesterday when he made some comment about me being old and I waved the letter opener at him and told him that he should respect his elders the cheeky boy (he's only six months younger than me as it is). He apologised and I made him a cup of tea. At which point he said that he always knew he liked me and I let him have some cake. ;D I shall miss it when I leave. [This is such a massive post!!! Oh it's good to be back!] *addition* In other news, it's actually been nice and sunny here recently. I haven't needed my coat all week!!

Item 2.louisa Sorry about the teaching job. Now time for neand's strange question (what else to expect from a strange man): what is a franking machine? Nothing to do with lie detecting I presume... heh heh heh It was a shame about the job but I refuse to get down about it! A franking machine is something that stamps the postage onto letters/parcels and then totals up the charge which you pay through an account. It saves poor lowly office staff (ie me) from licking the backs of several hundred stamps in a day. They are insanely easy to use and, therefore, very few of the managers can use them. I have actually been rung up at home once to talk someone through using it. I should have charged a consultation fee. In other news, there's a centre near us that does a lot of work with children from broken/troubled homes that was looking for volunteers. I contacted them to find out more information and they e-mailed me to say I sound "fantastic, perfect...just wonderful" and they'd love to have me on board. ;D

Quick update! Sadly didn't get the job at the school I loved, but never mind. Went to see Snow Patrol on Wednesday. It was fabulous! It was the best fun I had in a loooooooong time. Back working in the office for short time...so I'll probably have more updates about Hollyoaks Boy and the Managers attempting to use various items of office equipment (photocopier, laminator, shredder, franking machine etc etc)
That's all for now xxx

louisa Re. the interview... It's obvious I misunderstood your Feb 13 Post Today I found out that the school I worked at and I LOVED during my training has a vacancy! SO excited it was almost sad.I thought you'd applied... hence the interview. I hope you're sitting tight on the settee... if you lift the cushions, you might find some money there. Can hardly wait to get juicy tidbits from your last supply work. I've applied for that one, the deadline only closed a couple of days ago so I'm stil l waiting to hear (getting it would be a dream come true but I'm trying not to get too excited in case I'm disappointed). Re: latest supply stuff...I had to have very stern words with a boy regarding his liberal use of various four letter words aimed at fellow pupils. Which is bad enough...and then add in the fact that this supply was at a Playgroup and he was three! I was so shocked I barely knew what to do...I'm certain in my day (eek...sound like my mum) I'd never even heard of such words!!!!!!!!

louisa I miss hearing about your village life... what happened with the interview? Unless I've missed something... wouldn't surprise me... at my age... tend to miss a lot and don't know that we have... Haven't had an interview in ages Been posting off applications like crazy in the past couple of weeks. In other news: Spent an absolute fortune getting my car taxed and serviced so am now sitting tight and trying to find some money! Ooooh...I have tales from some supply work I did. That will have to wait until I am more awake. *insert evil laugh here* ;D

neand Can't say I ever made it to the Girls Scouts though I was too disruptive. I've been caught out by the sneaky snow and snowed out before so now I'm always over cautious. It paid off though! Many schools have been shut this last week so things have been quiet on the job front. Still writing applications though.
Amber I always dream of Merlin & Arthur. I am truly smitten.
Ollian Yay for assignments finishing!!! I am drinking a glass of wine to help celebrate.
I'm off to London again this weekend - more Merlin squee-ness mainly, this time on Saturday and am staying over so as not to tire myself out with 200 miles of train journey in a day. The snow is melting now and although I have enjoyed it I am slightly relieved that a) I can go places b) The trains are now running. c) The oil tanker will be able to get through so we can have our heating back.

I managed to get through the snow and go out. Then it snowed more and I couldn't get back! Luckily I had packed an emergency bag of sleepover gear so I stayed at my friends and we watched Vol.1 of Merlin! Then, yesterday, Vol.2 arrived in the post for me. So guess what I've been doing since then? ;D

Managed to get in and back so quite glad (? not sure that's what I mean, but you get the idea) about that. Probably stuck here for the weekend.
Had an e-mail from Amazon saying they've dispatched the next lot of Merlin DVDs to me, so hope they get through for Monday!!!
