I doubt it. I heard that on the VL set, the actors usually only have 1 or 2 takes with each scene, and then it's on to the next one. There's no way they had enough time and money to start that scene over and over. BUT...if it were true, I'd love to get my hands on the "bad" takes. OH MY GOD do you think they kept the outtakes?!?!??! Cuz I would pay pretty much anything for them.... lmao!! ;D ;D So usually i'm all RPS?!! Get thee to a nunnery!! but this explores the idea of what it was like to film that scene, and it's sort of funny, actually.

I see the resemblance, but Eddie Cahill looks older (although I think he's just about the same age as Jo) and he's been on CSI-NY long enough that switching roles might be tough. Or not, I don't know There's a pic of him on wikipedia

I liked Carlos suggestion over at AfterElton.com in the fantasy casting comments for Eddie Cahil and Sam Trammell if you are trying to find known actors who look similar to Jo and Thore. [a href=" www.afterelton.com/blog/snicks/fantasy-casting-christian-olli"] www.afterelton.com/blog/snicks/fantasy-casting-christian-olli[/a] Personally, I'd love to see unknown actors in the roles (whether or not they look like Jo and Thore) so the viewers are more free to see the new show and new couple as entirely separate from the original. For example, what they did with QAF UK versus QAF US. The UK version was just used as a jumping off point for the US version. IMHO you can't copy the magic of the original show, but you can be inspired by it and hopefully create new magic

I am not saying unknowns can not surprise us, but seasoned actors will leave out the issue of whether they can play the roles convincing. The guy who Brian on QAF in the US was a lucky find, but not everyone on the show could act. I want quality writing and quality acting. I am also hoping they don't do the show as a soap opera, but rather they will HBO-tize the idea.

I think these are fantastic choices. Both are strong actors as well as looking the parts. I also think their age is not a factor. I happen to like the idea of may be recasting the part for someone in his late 20s or early 30s rather than early 20s. This would give a lot more stories to be told than the normal stuff that we see in the early 20s. From Jo's FB: If you live in the US, don't forget to pick up your copy of Soap Opera Weekly (available everywhere) THIS Thurs/Friday to read Jo's interview regarding the HBO Chrolli remake.

I am quite intrigued by all of this, I am scared that'll turn out to be just another failed remake like most things, but I want to see it. Although now I have to subscribe to HBO...
This isn't that important, but in the article called "Aid and Abet find love" they called us a (cult)...lol

I thought about who should play Ollie and Christian in the American verision of VL.
I don't if any one has saw Green Plaid Shirt, but I was thinking of the two; one Phillip (Gregory Phelan) and (Guy) Kevin Spirtas.
Phillip looks a little like Ollie.

Although it's still hard to picture in my mind a viable American version of Chroliver , I've been thinking about what would be my dream team. I confess It scares me a little bit that HBO is involved: I expect a more explicit/mature treatment of all issues, obviously, but I wouldn't wanna see a totally raunchy rendition of the German SL... I think Matt Dallas would make a terrific Christian. Ian Somerhalder as Olli (He convincingly played a gay guy before) I loved him in Kyle XY Eden Riegel (she played a lovely lesbian in "All my Children") would be (a sweeter version of) CocoI'd absolutely love Alyson Hannigan as Judith I guess Becki Newton ("Ugly Betty") is Olivia Dona Mills ( a legendary TV Diva) as Charlie... And I think the impossibly HOT Eddie Cibrian would be great as Rob

If anyone would like to write to the producers and suggest to them to bring on Thore and Jo for a guest spot in the pilot, I think that would be phenomenal. Airin was great enough to put the details on my facebook page. This is the link that gives you the producers names: www.aidabetfilms.com/projects/Christian_%26_OllieAnd here are the addresses: www.aidabetfilms.com/contactPlease when you write, I suggest using reasons such as publicity, marketing, fan following, and so on. Their chemistry, hotness and so on is not going to matter since they will not be "Christian and Olli". (although, THEY should be) BUT if we quote you tube views and the fan following they will bring with them initially that might get hooked on the new show, it might get them over there. So, how about it? Anyone going to write with me?? :DDDD

Hopefully just the right amount that will secure them a guest role in the pilot (at least). I'm sending mine out tomorrow. I don't want it completed before we get our wishes known.

Let's not forget that if the storyline gets picked up in the US it will mostly likely be through a cable newtork like HBO or Showtime. Cable is very different from even German daytime. Much racier. In my head I'm thinking QAF which was pretty explicit. I hope the writers and actors can do justice to the Chrolli storyline. It really has a sweetness that I hope is not lost in the sensationalism we fall victim to in US society to get attention and make a buck.

OK, i thought about who should play Olli and Christian in the US version of VL. This is my dream team, but I don't know who could interpret who. Matt Lanter Hugh Dancy Yes, i know, that it's not necessarily a good casting. Matt is very young (27 years) and he's a member of the cast of 90210, and Hugh has 35 years but he's always so beautiful, but it's my ideal casting because I like Matt and Hugh and i think they would be very well together. Sorry, I don't very well speak English, then I used a translator.

We've all discussed the casting of Christian and Olli but has anyone as yet wondered who could even come close to this guy
