Maybe he only needs a dominant partner in crime, i don't know if it will work for his love life, but at least his life as young delincuent will be a lot more effective and lucrative LOL. You would think that "dominant partner in crime" would help Ste out, but he continues to get screwed and beaten (and not how hot/intense it supposedly was in the past).

The Roscoe boys think that Sandy has a new boyfriend, due to some secret calls that she's received. It's revealed that Danny's the twins father and the other three boys are from Sandy's marriage.
Yet, there seems to be rumors about the eldest son, Joe being Jack's son (due to his history with Sandy).
Now, the Roscoes would be the male version of the McQueens, if all these four men have impregnated Sandy.

I'm pretty sure Joe is Jack's kid and probably was conceived when both Sand and Jack were married to other people, hence the secrecy.
Danny being the twins dad is just weird unless he specifically came to Hollyoaks to find them (I mean, if he was involved in their life you'd think Sandy would have just sent Robbie to live with Danny). But if Danny is the twin's dad, maybe that would explain Robbie's extreme homophobia.
BTW, whatever happened to Callum, Ash and George's living crisis? Were do they live? Is Callum still in the village?

Position. She's worried about Sinead bringing up a less than six month old baby, in an environment of drug dealing, stealing and possible prostitution. Which she doesn't know anything about.
Sinead's not truly putting her baby's needs before her own. She wants to be a mom, after months of not wanting to be apart of that child's life. Once she gives birth, then she wants to be a mom, but isn't at all mentally, emotionally and financially prepared for it and refuses any sort of help, because she doesn't want Diane to interfere.
So, what should Diane do?
Support her daughter financially, while she messes about with Ste and lives in an environment that has caused her baby daughter to catch a virus?

The reason Sinead doesn't want to go home is because Diane does nothing but scream at her and call her names. Diane wants to TAKE Katie from her and she knows it. Most teenaged girls have a bad reaction to finding out they are pregnant and a large part of Sinead's reaction to being pregnant is Diane's horrible, obsessive behavior. She has set a horrible example for Sinead. Diane is the one who agreed to take the baby instead of encouraging Sinead to raise the baby because Diane was convinced she'd never have babies of her own and she obsessed over Katie long before she was born. As the adult in the situation I expect Diane to stop screeching and threatening and acting like a toddler stomping her feet and actually BE a mother to Sinead. She is driving Sinead father away and if she really cares about Katie that is the last thing she should be doing. Also, Katie was not in danger at Ste's house. Ste would never do anything to harm a hair on that baby's head. Even Tony knew that and he's known Ste since he was 16 years old. I am not saying that Sinead living with Ste is the ideal situation with him up to all sorts. But had Diane actually offered to help rather than try to control Sinead, Sinead wouldn't have felt threatened and desperate. If I was Diane? I would have tried to help her find a job (which is what she wanted) and I would have offered to through her a shower for the baby so she could have all the things the baby needed without Sinead feeling like her mother was trying to control her or take the baby. Every time Sinead opens up to her mother she says "Come home, let me take over everything". That is how Sinead got into this mess in the first place. Diane has lied for Sinead with the McQueens, with the Osbournes, at her school. Sinead is exactly who Diane raised her to be and now she expects Sinead to just do as she says because she says so? I have never been a fan of Sinead. But I know what it's like to have an overbearing mother and Diane has been acting crazy since Sinead left the house.
For instance, after Katie was born, Sinead was devastated, she was miserable, she couldn't even look at her own child because it was breaking her heart the her mother had taken her and instead of RECOGNIZING that and understanding why Sinead wanted to leave, Diane just bulldozed over her feelings acting as if everything was hunky dory. Meanwhile she has a teenaged son she ignores and twins on the way that she can't take care of without Tony's money.
The only person who has tried to help Sinead in any positive way is Cindy (can't believe I'm saying it) and even she wouldn't be if she knew Sinead was carrying Rhy's child and Sinead knows that.
Whether what Diane thinks about Sinead living with Ste is right or wrong, she is completely going about it the wrong way. She is making everything worse and the only thing she seems to care about is Katie, not Sinead. It's twisted the way she behaves towards Katie. It's obsessive. I would have requested a restraining order a long time ago.
Diane needs to focus on her own pregnancy and her teenaged son and let Sinead come to her when she is ready. That is the only way Sinead will learn to be an adult and take care of herself and Katie properly.

Sinead deserves to lose her baby. Diane needs to step in before the kid winds up dead or something. Either the baby is taken from her by Social Services OR the show does something really shocking and has that baby die, due to Sinead's selfish ass behavior. So that viewers can see what can happen when the momma and not the grandmother, the best friend and/or the other messed up person living with said momma and child, isn't responsible enough to know when she's not in a position to do what's best for her child.

MY point is that Diane can't take care of her own children so why anyone thinks she would be a responsible mother to Katie is beyond me. If social services takes Katie and she gets adopted she would STILL be better of than being raise by Diane. Have y'all actually been watching Diane's antics since she has been on Hollyoaks? She is as bad as Sinead except she doesn't have the excuse of being a teenager. We don't know why the baby got sick. She could have just as easily gotten sick living with Diane. Babies get sick. Sometimes babies die. That's life. But Diane isn't trying to HELP Sinead. That is what a mother should be doing. She is supposed to be the grownup, she is supposed to know better. Popping out a kid doesn't automatically give Sinead life experience and if Diane had been guiding her properly from the moment she GOT pregnant, Sinead wouldn't be in this mess to begin with. Maybe I'm just not as sentimental about babies but I feel like I don't care who raises Katie as long as it's not Diane. I actually think with the right support system, Sinead COULD be a good mom. Plenty of women had babies as teenagers and managed to become good mothers. Amy wasn't exactly mother of the year when she had Lucas but she eventually became a better mother because of her father and Ste's support. Yes Ste (who has regressed to sloth stage).
Diane is nearly 40 years old and she still acts like a screaming irrational teenager when she doesn't get her way. This is the same woman who told her daughter to lie about bulling Esther. The same woman who covered up the fact that Sinead was carrying the child of a married man AND let Sinead hide the truth from the McQueens until a couple months ago.
Diane is no mother of the year and she would not be a better mother to Katie than Sinead.
Now, whether some other person would be a better mother to Katie is a separate issue. Diane is already carrying two babies she can't afford and a teenager she can't keep track of.
It is kind of shocking to that anyone would think giving a baby to Diane is a good idea.
Having said that, as much as I dislike Sinead, I believe she genuinely loves her baby and she WANTS to be a better mother she just literally has no life skills and is too stubborn and proud to admit it.
Counseling, parenting classes, a good job and a less tumultuous place to live (that is NOT with Diane) and she'd be fine. She's a smart girl. She had a scholarship to go to university before she got pregnant. She's not a hopeless case with the right guidance.

How many times has he tried to stop interacting with Trevor, especially after being beaten up by him, yet somebody else always finds a way to get him to go back around that guy?! That's why Sinead and Ste are helping each other to screw up their lives more than ever before.

I think that is why Cindy can relate to Sinead, as Holly's dad died when she was pregnant. Cindy has been far more supportive than Diane, who was disgustingly insensitive when she took Katie immediately after she was born and hasn't stopped interfering/criticising since. Admittedly Sinead hasn't been the perfect mother so far, but however misguided/illegal her moneymaking schemes are, she's genuinely trying. Ste has never done anything to harm Katie, and is in no way to blame for her illness, but Diane is so wrapped up in herself that she would rather blame him and scream at Sinead than actually try to support her daughter and granddaughter in a difficult time. She deserves to be shut out of Katie's life until she has sorted her priorities.

Any baby can catch meningitis, it could have happened if she had been living at Tony's with Dianne. Sinead's not winning mother of the year, but social services have no cause to take her baby from her at the moment.

i just want to say, something about JP & Doug that always cracked me up was how their 'narrative' was that JP's 'mr. square, by the book' and Doug is his 'good time guy'. I mean when they do the post-it car thing, and we're supposed to believe this is something JP (really?) would NOT do, while it's something Doug (really?) would... lols JP's pretty much the poster kid for 'do before you think' in HO, and Doug is dull as watching paint dry, let's be real.
that's only one reason why their forced-coupling never worked. They really should have remained platonic friends. Doug could have been JP's first (? on screen?) out gay mate. Fail, much?

That DS article about Ste... It leaves me with the impression that Ste will probably help his mom die. Kind of sounds like that emotional situation will keep pushing him over the edge. I don't quite understand Kieron's comment that, "If he does go through with it, it will be because Pauline has manipulated him into doing it. Ste is just so vulnerable at the moment. Anything could happen." Why would Ste helping his mom automatically be because she manipulated him? Unless there's a lot more to the story than is revealed in the article...

But wasn't that what Sinead wanted? Wasn't it Sinead who pushed Diane into taking the baby before she was even born? I don't have much sympathy for Sinead when she herself was acting like everything was hunky dory throughout most of the pregnancy and spoke as if the baby was a puppy that she could pawn off on her mother. Diane really didn't seem to want to keep the baby, if I recall correctly, but agreed to do it because she thought it would give her daughter a shot at having a more normal life. Then, after she'd gotten attached to the baby, Sinead decided that nope, she was going to take Katie back. Which, frankly, is understandable, but it's also totally understandable to me that Diane would get attached to the baby that she'd been raising for several months and had been preparing for for even longer.
Also, considering how ridiculously irresponsible Sinead has been, I also have no sympathy with Diane calling the cops or social services or whoever else on her. I don't her blame for Ste is misplaced, but Sinead absolutely deserves to have her baby taken away. She spent days crying over her financial situation and desperately worried that she'd wind up out on the streets and then what did she do when she (illegally) scored some cash? She threw a big party and went clothes shopping. And, incidentally, trashed the apartment that Ste had just cleaned up for her to impress the Social Services women. Sinead has clearly demonstrated that she can't even take care of herself, let alone an infant.

Do you know that there is a mandatory grace period after a baby is born for all adoptions in case the birth mother changers her mind because pregnancy can be such a traumatic experience for young mothers?
As her mother, Diane should never have agreed to take her child and raise her and the only reason Diane did so is because she didn't believe she's ever give birth herself. Sinead and Finn are her step children an Diane wanted to have a biological child of her own but was willing to "settle" for taking Sinead's baby.
And the plan was that Sinead would be going to university because she had a scholarship but Diane chose to lie and encouraged Sinead to lie about Esther and Sinead was kicked out of school, lost her scholarship and her place in university.
Sinead was responsible for bullying Esther but had the woman who is supposed to be her mother actually given her guidance and made her tell the truth and made her apologize Patrick would probably have given her a second chance.
The point is, all these problems started long before Sinead moved in with Ste. Diane was trying to take Katie back long before she knew about Ste drug dealing or anything else.
People are only looking at what's happening now and not at the whole picture. WE the viewers know a lot more about Ste than Diane. As far as Diane was concerned, Ste was a good dad who had been raising two small children before Amy moved away.
I won't go into the long line of stuff Diane has pulled on Hollyoaks but she is no saint by any means. She is as bad if not worse than Sinead and as her mother she should have set a better example for both Finn and Sienad.
Finn has already been involved in lying about a hit in run, participating in a robbery, disposing of a gun, etc, et all. Diane can't keep track of her own son and now she's knocked up with two babies she can't afford and she was willing to move into Tony's apartment and let him take care of her even before they were a couple.
There is a reason why Sinead is the way she is. LOTS of young single mothers who are teens struggle and make bad choices. It's an everyday thing. What Sinead needs is support, not shrewish Diane hovering around her yelling at her and calling her names.
I have never liked Sinead. But I believe she wants to be be a good mom, even if she is going at it all the wrong way.
Diane is NOT helping. So far, all Diane has done is make things worse. The best thing she did was to bring groceries and diapers and she couldn't even manage that without going hysterical all over Sinead and trying to take Katie home..
If Sinead was my daughter, I'd be trying to find her a job, not trying to get her to come home so I can contol her every move.

At this point, Sinead wouldn't want Diane's help in finding a safe and secure job. Sinead has no skills and she wouldn't want her step mom's help. Along with not going on assistance with the government.
In this 17 year old's mind, she's doing "the best she can, for her baby", by stealing from her potential tricks and having to sell herself, when she can't get the money without having sex AND staying with another lack of common sense individual, who continues to find himself in jeopardy.
While we see slight moments of doubt cross Sinead's AND Ste's faces, whenever they find themselves in trouble (jail, hospital and/or committing a crime). This is the perfect environment to raise Katy in.

No one thinks its the perfect environment to raise Katy, but she is with her mum who may be selfish and irresponsible but she does love her so it is better for Katie to be with Sinead than to be in the care system. Sinead is 18. She is an adult. Diane needs to start treating her like one.

If every young mother who had a rough beginning with figuring out how to raise their baby and afford to do so was forced to give up their child, a lot of WONDERFUL adult humans would have had horrible childhoods stuck in the social welfare system. The assumption that Katie would be better off raised by anyone but Sinead seam's short-sighted to me. There is nothing that Sinead has done that she couldn't overcome with the right support system. Diane may be her mother and she may even be well-intentioned (I don't see it but I'll acknowledge it's possible) but that doesn't mean that Diane knows what is best for Sinead or Katie and she doesn't know how to deal with Sinead in a respectful supportive way. Sinead is freaking the frack out. Ste left his kids for a weekend and folks accused him of abandoning his kids to the wolves just for leaving them with Leanne and Texas.
Sienna WANTS her baby. She wants to be a good mom. She literally has no idea how to do it and no support system because all her friends are either too young or hate her because she's been so horrible this past year.
Sinead is not a likeable character, that is true. But her situation is very realistic for working class young women. Diane is accidentally pregnant and almost 40 years old and she can't support herself and her teenaged son without the help of a man she hardly knows, Tony. How is she any more equipped to be a mom to Katie? She can barely manage the kid she has and the ones she is about to have and she was maybe the WORST parenting role model to Sinead I've ever seen on this show and that is saying something.
Young people make horrible decisions sometimes. That is part of life. It's part of learning and growing and maturing. But it doesn't mean that their entire future has to be defined by what they did as a teenager.
It's tricky for me because I don't like Sinead but I also don't like what this cop is doing to her and I don't like the way Diane treats her and she is too stubborn and pig-headed (like Diane, there's some nurture over nature for you) to listen when folks give her good advice.
If Ruby was less selfish she might have suggested Sinead work at The Dog since they need to replace coo coo Sienna but she's just as bad as Sinead when it comes to critical thinking skills.
ON another another, Hollyoaks right now has all of the women either being coo coo or a doormat over a man. Very disheartening. The one thing about Frankie and Myra is they have never let me run their lives and they aren't willing to put up with men's crap or let men treat them like crap.

Plenty of parents love their kids *to death*. I wouldn't trust this horrible, irresponsible creature with a goldfish much less a child. She wants to ruin her one life, fine. No need to drag an innocent baby down with her.

While I don't think Dianne is a great mum, let not forget that she got involved with Rob ( Finn and Sinead ) father when she was 15 years, and their own mother had abandon them, so it is not surprising that she may not always come across as a mother when she is dealing with Sinead, their relationship have always fluctuate between parent/child or best friends.
While Sinead may love Katie,it more of "I love my child so she should be with me, she is mine" rather than I "love child so I will do what is in her best interest"
Dianne didn't even want to adopt Katie at first she understood,Sinead persuaded her to do it,yes she was over zelous when the baby was born and didn't think about Sinead feelings but she never gave birth to a child herself and Sinead for months had made it clear that she didn't want to have anything to do with the baby, how was she to know that Sinead would have change her mind.
As for Sinead have chosen to make stupid and dangerous choices despite that fact that she have been given options, put herself and her child's life at risk.

So, Ruby should have told Frankie and Jack to hire Sinead, in order to give her other options, besides commiting theft and selling her body to strangers?
When will it ever be Sinead's responsibility for her own choices in how she's choosing to raise her child?

The Roscoe boys think that Sandy has a new boyfriend, due to some secret calls that she's received. It's revealed that Danny's the twins father and the other three boys are from Sandy's marriage. Yet, there seems to be rumors about the eldest son, Joe being Jack's son (due to his history with Sandy). Now, the Roscoes would be the male version of the McQueens, if all these four men have impregnated Sandy. If the Danny being the Roscoe father rumour turns out to be true I've been wondering how this reveal would have dark and unexpected consequences for a number of characters. We already know that Robbie have problems with homosexuality, and he does have a temper, and based on James interview it can be assumed that Robbie might bully JP. I could see Robbie become a ring leader of a group of teens and probably attacks and seriously injure someone. Most likely Doug,George or Vincent. The only reason I don't think is victim will die, I don't think Hollyoaks will make him a murderer as they currently have too many in the village, plus they might want to redeem the character. Also, August looks like it going to have a high death toll, with Pauline's euthanasia, the possible murder of someone by Trevor (DI Trent is my guess) and Karma looks like it's heading Dr.Browning way.
