Bad boy Niall Rafferty strikes again when he murders a priest and makes it look like suicide. The twisted fella had been hellbent on destroying the McQueen clan since he arrived in the soap. And the next step for Niall is to murder his half-brother John Paul's gay lover, Father Kieron Hobbs.
You gotta be kidding...right? omg...i can't belive that the HO storyline is going so bad between jp and kieron.... i'm still shocked

I wouldn't be surprised, but I would definitely be upset... Kieron has really grown on me; I love the character en Jake's acting. And indeed: it would ruin Niall's character too. I would love to see him become a part of the lovely McQueen familiy eventualy, despite all the mistakes he's made. But committing murder on the ex of your brother is not making this a very likely outcome...

yeah and this is another thing.. i mean he tried to kill his granny but he couldnt do it.. and his granny is the reason for all what went wrong in his life.. so how can he be able to kill an innocent peron? i really cant see it..
(and yes im pretty good in denial.. ;D)

You're right! I'm with you on the denial front... ;D Perhaps it will go away if we say it isn't so enough times....

I wish I could get on the boat that's going down the River of Denial, but I just can't set myself up for even more dissapointment in regards to Kieron's "suicide" by the hands of Niall, just so that he can get back at the McQueens.

i can live in denial as long there is no official spoiler about everything.. but until now there is just this small article in which i dont believe..
when we hear that jake quits, something about his contract or when there is just an official spoiler which says this then i give up my hope.. but only then..

Has anyone else checked out the latest spoilers for John-Paul and Kieron? ? Very interesting...... Still no proof that the Kieron "suicide" spoiler isn't going to happen.

It's almost unfair. If it's true, it's sad. And even if it turns out to be a hoax then people will miss out on the storyline because they will be so focused on the sad ending that they won't let themselves gets emotionally attached, because they think it's gonna end anyway.

I am not sure what to make of it except that it made me feel less bitter about JP's recent actions. If this stuff is true, then I am looking forward to it since I so like JP/K. I do have a feeling this won't go over well at all with some others, but as much as I love McDean, Craig isn't there and JP needs someone in his life now. Also, it seems to be the case that despite some naysaying, JP has genuine feelings for Kieron. Now if the "Niall kills Kieron & makes it look like a suicide" spoiler does come true, I can't imagine what it will do to JP. For now, I will just enjoy the ride of JP trying to fight his feelings for Kieron.

I'm definitely one of these people who won't let themself get too attached to this couple because I absolutely hate endings like that. I can deal with break ups, but when people die... Stupid, I know. But I can't help myself...

Stupid, I know. But I can't help myself... Precisely. Knowing that Kieron is gonna get killed off just made me lost interest in following the story. It's like a lost cause for me. I love Kieron as a character and I thought he's an amazing addition the cast. And I thought it's pretty ridiculous to introduce such a wonderful character just to have him killed off in the end. They could have turned the situation around, rather than resorting in this way of telling the story.

I'm not liking the idea of Kieron being killed off. I think John and Jake have incredible on screen chemistry. Maybe Jake will come back as Kieron's twin brother. Of course, he would NOT be a priest, but he would be openly gay!

Hahaha.

Bonobochick - Thanks for sending me the heads up about the new spoilers "discussions" from the JSF (James Sutton Forum) over the weekend. That's exactly how I feel about it... I love the sound of these spoilers, but if it's true Kieron will be killed off... I'm definitely one of these people who won't let themself get too attached to this couple because I absolutely hate endings like that. I can deal with break ups, but when people die... Yes. I read some research that once somebody is gay it's more likely for the twin to be gay to than it would be if sexuality was not tied to genes in any way.

I don't know if it's genes or environment; my twin and I were raised together, but I have heard of sets of twins raised apart who both turn out to be gay. We have similar tastes in things like movies, music and guys - in fact we once both dated the same guy (not at the same time) - but we both really liked him so it caused a huge row and we didn't speak to each other for a couple of weeks, so now we have an unwritten rule that we don't do that. We double-dated another set of twins for a while when we lived in Nottingham in the early 90s, but it got a little weird and confusing - and our parents strongly objected to the situation

Here is the pretty obnoxious cartoon from the movie For the Bible Tells me So that tries to sum up some of the currently popular theory (such as the twin research and the theory that men are more likely to be gay if they have older brothers). Personally, I tend to think that there are probably both nature and nurture reasons (particularly with twins, I know a set of twins who are dicygotic who aren't gay. but are still creepily attached to the max, both getting married around the same time and moxing into a house together and unintentionally or not always copying each other's attitudes). There's probably no one factor that makes one gay, but different ways you arrive at the same goal. Any one rule you make up about what makes one gay you are likely to quickly find people who defy the rule in one way or another (like men with many oler brothers being straight or oldest brothers being gay).

"are still creepily attached to the max...." I hope I'm not creeping you out As to "the Bible Tells me So" - I think that has an agenda that we don't even want to think about - 'cause we've seen where that goes - and it is usually a cover for simple hatred and bigotry. The best response to that kind of "Biblical Abominition" stuff I've ever seen is from The West Wing... www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHaVUjjH3EI
