Well, i think in the case of OLTL is because we only know that kyle and fish are gay because the spoilers, right now no one of them is a proper gay character. If one of them was a openly gay character probably people will be interested in his storyline before he will be paired

Personally, I like that Fish and Kyle have stories that are currently separate from each other, but stil intertwining them. It's allowing the writers to establish the character within the canvas of Llanview society while also letting them have their occasional scenes together so that the audience picks up that there is something between them. Most of all, they don't exist in a separate bubble. Even in today's show, when John and Bo were making a list of who John wanted on his drug sting operation, Fish was at the top of his list, so he'll likely contribute to the story, and it very well might spill over into his developing story with Kyle. This is very good writing, imho.

Just to clear up some air, so till now do we actually know who is Shane's secret donor? Has he been mentioned? Coz all along I thought Roxy was the donor (until I realized it didn't make sense on why is she trying to keep it a secret when she is Shane's grandma if she is the donor) and now the previous episode has hinted it's some other person being the donor. It's getting kinda exciting now. And also I'm getting a little confused now. How many people has Kyle blackmailed and who are they and why? And has he done anymore bad deeds besides blackmailing people? Thanks for all the help!

The donor is Rex's father (who had Rex with Roxy.) We don't know for sure who that is, I think, but the thread is full of theories, mostly about long-gone characters we won't have heard of.
The only blackmail I'm aware of is Roxy, Gigi and Skyler, but other viewers may be able to add to the list.
I'm not sure exactly what the relationship is between Kyle and Stacey, since they were both in on the scheme.

SPOILERS!Dude come on. Put it in a different color or something. I didn't know that at all. Maybe you could change the color of the text now so folks have to highlight it to read it. If you are refering to Shane's donor being Rex's bio-dad, that isn't a spoiler. (Was there something else that I missed that is a spoiler?? ) That's been the center of the storyline and why Stacy was able to blackmail folks.

Well I guess I'm the only one who didn't know.
I've never heard Roxy or Kyle say who the donor was and I thought that was the big mystery otherwise why didn't Kyle just tell Nathalie today when she asked him outright?
I genuinely believed he didn't know who the donor was.
Obviously I just need to stop reading the OLTL threads because I haven't been watching the show long enough to know all of the background.
I'll withdraw my complaint and just not read stuff until this part of the storyline is resolved.

I think the secret is who, specifically, it is. In other words, Roxy has never told Rex who his real bio-dad is, and she's trying to keep it hidden.

Whomever it is, it's someone Roxy thinks is despicable and she is willing to let Stacy blackmail her into helping keep Rex and Gigi apart in order to pretend to be Shane's donor in order to keep Rex's paternity a secret.

Kyle also blackmailed Natalie and Jared, from SoapCentral:
Kyle ran a DNA test for Natalie Buchanan and Jared Banks that confirmed their suspicions that Natalie's sister, Jessica Brennan, had switched her own stillborn baby with a healthy baby belonging to Starr Manning and Cole Thornhart while under the influence of an alternate personality. Knowing that the truth would devastate Jessica, Natalie and Jared decided to keep quiet about the baby switch. But when Starr and Cole requested a similar DNA test to determine how their baby had died, Kyle realized that the babies had been switched and told Natalie and Jared that he would reveal the secret if they didn't pay him $100,000 within 24 hours.
These were the blackmail charges that Natalie and Jared dropped in exchange for Kyle revealing the identity of the donor.

I LOVE Roxie..... ;D she is one of my favorite soap actresses. Within the parameters of daytime, she gets to say the craziest things... Do we have to wait for the shane's blood s/l to wrap up before the thing with Fish and Kyle starts up?

I think OLTL is a very good soap, I even watch it when Kish is not on! The writing is good, and the stam cell storyline is excellent. Some of the other storylines are kinda boring.. LOL. Thank god it's mostly been about the stam cell thingy the last couple of days I can't wait for more Kish though ;D

I've been watching OLTL for a month now and am VERY impressed. They're carefully developing Fish and Kyle; the whole stem cell donor s/l is great; I love the banter between Todd, Tea and Blair; and, of course, Dorian is a hoot!
But, yeah, can't wait for more Kish, too!

Do we have to wait for the shane's blood s/l to wrap up before the thing with Fish and Kyle starts up? He'll probably still be involved in that story to some extent, but with the blackmailing charges dropped against him, I think he'll concentrate on catching him some Fish. ;D So story kicks into gear today, I don't think we'll have to wait long.

Kyle & Fish Part 8

And the story's kicked into gear. Not necessarily, HIGH gear yet, mind you, but at least into gear. I quite liked it.
At first, I thought they were trying to make us think that Kyle was into Layla. He asks about being introduced, and the first time he's watching them from afar, it's not clear who he's looking at. To the non-spoiled, not necessarily expecting teh gay viewer, it would be easy to mistake his intentions. But during that musical montage, it's quite clear that he's staring at Fish, not Layla.
Does it reduce the tension from the storyline to realize that at the end, they'll be able to shuffle the characters around into a configuration where everyone's happy? I can't decide. On the one hand, I think a big part of the "bite" of traditional love triangles is the knowledge that someone is going to wind up heartbroken. This episode made it clear that Layla and Fish are both trying WAY too hard, and that they (and Cris and Kyle) will probably all be happier once things play out. OTOH, I think there's still going to be more than enough drama in the Kish relationship once they get through the initial "Fish needs to admit he's interested" stage to keep things going, so maybe it's not that big of a deal. To be honest, I'm less than enthralled by Cris and Layla, so I'm not terribly worried about whether they'll maintain interest in the long run.
I mentioned this in the AfterElton liveblog, but one of the things I like about this couple is that they're both a little dorky. Well, okay, Fish is a LOT dorky. But it's pretty easy to project what they must have been like in college, and see why these two would have drifted together. We've been focusing on the differences, and those surely do offer some tantalizing story possibilities, but there are some similarities too, I think.
