Thanks so much Nitty! I LOVE this. This will be a great place to get ideas for fan fiction. I also love the boundaries: I love these actors too much to disrespect them. Talk about the characters . . . not the actors. I will speculate with zest tomorrow. I have to sleep now. Danke!

It might be that I am the only one who wants to speculate, nu? Or perhaps this might be more active when spoilers come on Monday. However -- I'll throw this out there, whatever happens with Christian's Barbara Hershey disease scenerio, I would like Gregor to live through it -- and Christian. So the question that brought this line into being is what will/could happen? What do we want to have happen? I'd like to see the debt on the club be an issue Christian has to solve, and I actually thing the prostitution (though less angsty than in my fan-fic) would play well. I'd also like to see Justus utilized more.

Prostitution? Justus utilized? What r u getting at? I'd really love to see something similar to Flippa's Limits fic play out. Well, I really DON"T want to see Olli hurt again, but the stuff btwn Gregor and Christian would be AWESOME! ...Especially after seeing the old scenes btwn them! Even before Flippa posted this story, I had a feeling the writers were setting up some groundwork for a storyline involving Olli/Christian/Gregor and Gregor's debt. Would Christian have to choose sides? It looks to me like the potential storyline has been pushed aside (if it ever really existed in the writer's heads) so that Gregor could have his grand love story. Maybe it will come up again...like a year from now. I'll be sad if they never bring it up again.

I might be up for more wild speculation after new spoilers have come out. Personally, I'm all out of wild specs at the moment. I will enjoy reading yours in the meantime!

I still want to see that debt come back to bite Gregor's butt- I'm still hoping it's a "sleeper" rather than just forgotten about by the writers...
soooooooooo anyone else think that these arguments with Ollian might lead to a split, Christian might go totally off the rails and find a buddy in Andi- bearing in mind Andi's "fight club" history??

I'm pretty sure they will split...exactly when and for how long, I'm not so sure. I hope they do it after Andi shows up and not before...I want him to see how cute they are...or more, I want to see him see how cute they are. That would be... cute. ;D

I still want to see that debt come back to bite Gregor's butt- I'm still hoping it's a "sleeper" rather than just forgotten about by the writers... Well, he said yesterday he would get all his money out of the NL if he could help Luise with it. I hope it comes up again. I don't think he sees Olli as a real partner in this but he's fine right now because he wants to spend more time with Luise anyway. That makes Olli the boss right now and I think it would be trouble if Gregor "comes back" one day with the intention to concentrate on the NL again and they both think they're the only boss so to speak. I'm surprised if they split in the next spoiler because that wouldn't stop Christian from his boxing "suicide" thing (and that's what Olli wants?) But I agree to the "Andi should see how cute they are" - That's my first reason why I want him to come back in the first place. Although I wouldn't have anything against a "The friends try to get Ollian back together" story (one couple on Marienhof had a perfect scene for Ollian last week: Their best friend was making sure they play "Breath me" when the guy came in and they stared at each other and slowly began to dance and it was clear they're back together) because no one would understand them if they break up. I was also a little mad when Stella didn't get to see them happy in her first two months. IMO the worst thing for a soap couple is if they break up and get friends like Andi and Nico or Christian and Nico.So if they split I want Ollian to cry and miss each other at least and everybody should notice how miserable they are + once in a while "I still love him so much". If Gregors dies someday, maybe Christian isn't getting his heart but his half of the NL.

I don't know why but I have a very very weird feeling that we will see some Christian/OliviA at some point... It would be unexpected and DEFINATELY forbidden love.
Hmmm

I looked up the disease that Christian is supposed to be getting.
Its a virus that attacks the hear. Can cause heart failure if the heart is over stressed.
The virus comes from tropical locations (don't remember). Question: Where could he have gotten this virus?

Tom will come back as a specialist of Christian's heart problem, Ulli will try to take over No Limits and Gregor will marry Luise.

DAMN THE WRITERS IF THEY BREAK UP OLIVER AND CHRISTIAN FOREVER! I just won't have it! I'm fine with them breaking up and being apart for a while, but then they would have to get back together again ON SCREEN FOR EVERYONE TO SEE! I don't want them to split up, I need them to be happy and together

Saw this picture at Thore's fanpage and I immediately thought of the 'Christian+Rebecca' and 'Christian+Miriam' wild speculation. Grrr... Hands off!!

After reading the spoilers and trying to dissect them more, I think when Olli mentions about things not continuing the same way, I think he means for Christian to go seek some professional help. I don't think it means a break up, just yet. Although I do think there will eventually be a temporary split because of the enormity of the situation.
On the other hand, we may see no break up at all. What could happen is...after Olli finds Christian at the boxing club and gets angry at him, Christian breaks down to Olli confessing his fear of dying from a heart attack. He reveals his fear and insecurity of letting Olli down, of the burden he now puts on Olli and of loosing Olli. Naturally this is all irrational thinking, but it's what Christian would be feeling. And maybe from this confession it only makes their bond even stronger, both deciding to take Christian's sickness on together and not apart. The writers may then write Christian's condition as deteriorating, with the only option being a heart transplant. We get to see a new and challenging part of Ollian's relationship as they battle through this dangerous period in Christian's life. It could turn into the greatest love story ever told on TV. Which could very well be what the writers are reaching for...that really rare couple in TV land that didn't split, not even once. Because so far, Ollian have been one heck of a love story with nothing or no one coming between them.
The drama in a storyline like this can be very gripping for the viewers and give both Thore and Jo some challenging material to work with.

So basically Hannah+Carla and the kidney transplant story minus the money and with a happier ending.
(I'm fine with it, since I think the Carla/Hannah was an exceptionally well told story, probably one of the best VL has produced though naturally it had some different angle such as people being able to donate without dying and an enemy sister they had to make peace with in the hope of getting a donation etc; I know many people were unhappy with the way the ending of Canna was handled and felt it seemed like it felt too rushed and influenced by the actress leaving, so the idea of retelling Canna with a better ending is quite pleasing to me;)
Take care of a partner even was something like a trope for a while to show supercouple status and give them the chance to be united front and show that they could work as a couple and never argue seriously while still being dramatic (most notably Carla/Hanna with Hanna's kidney and Leo/Cecile with Leo in a wheelchair), but so far the problem has been that the only way they knew how to resolve those stories was to have one of them die in the end (though not necessarily from the same storyline aka Cecile dying in a car accident a while after Leo successfully recovered from his spine injury) to preserve the perfect coupledom. Let's hope that for a change they manage to do that differently for a change.

I don't want them to split up, I need them to be happy and together Absolutely! And if they are ever broken up, I need them to pine for each other--especially if they are ever with anyone else. The new person(s) may think they've won, but we will see Olli and Christian still wanting each other and turning to one another even when they know they shouldn't. Ultimately, they wouldn't be able to stay away from each other or keep their hands off . But don't get me wrong, I do not want that to happen. But knowing the inevitability of soap break ups, I just hope that if we have to endure one, this is how it rolls out.

I just can't imagine Olli leaving christian at a time like this. After all that they've been through it would be completly out of character for Olli to give up. I think something might result from how they handle this situation that might (temporarily) break them up, but for now I think (hope, pray) that their gonna get through this together.

One difference though is that now Olli also has a responsibility towards his bar, so he might not have as much time and complete attention to spare as he used to.

That is a good point. One that I choose to avoid in happy-ollian-love land where there are no ugly cardigans and no broken hearts (sick or otherwise).

I think if Jo or Thore wanted to leave they would most likely write the story as one of them having to leave town for whatever reason with the intension of the other following at a later date. That date being when the other actor decides to leave the show. I just don't think that death is going to happen. I know we don't have any input whatsoever regarding the revenue and ratings for VL, I wish we did. Nevertheless, TPTB over at VL are well aware of the love internationally for the Olli and Christian characters, so i'm hoping this would help in saving Ollian from the dreaded death grip.
