Dear Tessel , Here's some nicer ways to speak to your boyfriend: 1) "Tobias, you don't have to try to impress me so much, I like you just as you are." 2) "Relax Tobias, don't feel that you have to wait on me hand and foot, ok?" 3) "Tobias, you don't have to do whatever I say, I like that you have a mind of your own." Any of the above would have been sweeter. That was just rude and she is high maintenance and poor Tobias may regret having his wish granted. Bless him. As for the "Koen Like Girls" situation:I'm coming back to this because it still bugs me (not the fact that he's dating a girl, per se, but the way it all happened so quickly and effortlessly) Does Layla know Koen was dating Flip when she asked him out? How could she not know in such a small school? She is friends with Tessel who is friends with Flip, they hung out a lot. Everybody knows everybody's business in a school like that. Even if she thought Flip and Koen had broken up, you'd think the "gay" question would come up even just between her and Tessel when she was saying that she though Koen was cute (right before the hat incident). We aren't getting to hear any conversations between Koen and Layla so we don't know what they talked about but it really does seem weird that she kinda just decided one day "Oh, I want Koen to be mine" without any regard for the fact that as far as everyone else knew he was gay and possible still going out with Flip. Layla doesn't seem like a bitchy girl (forward but not bitchy) and you'd have to be a pretty bitchy girl to just walk up to a guy when he's WITH his boyfriend and openly flirty with him and ask him out on a date without any regard for the fact that his boyfriend is standing there. So now I'm thinking Layla 1)Didn't know that Flip and Koen were a gay couple (How?) 2)Knew that Flip was gay but didn't know Koen was gay (Why?) 3)Knew that Koen was gay AND dating Flip and decided she liked a "challenge" (Really???) I know we probably will never get the answers to my questions but the whole thing just seems very, very strange. It would be different if Koen had approached her for a date but he didn't seem to even know her before she sauntered up to him and took his hat and he wasn't particularly enthusiastic and he didn't even seem to find her attractive (though she CLEARLY wanted a piece of him) Now I know boys at that age will kind of just follow a pretty girl wherever she leads (sometimes to his own detriment) but I need more info. Something just seems strange. And where is Fay and the others to offer Flip some support or at the very least give Koen and LaylaBoyStealer lots of dirty looks? Maybe these will all be answered later on but I REALLY want to see Flip getting some support from his father or mother or his teacher or his sister or someone.

Yeah, there are some things that don't make sense to me either.
To make it even more complicated. Layla is actually an ex-girlfriend of Tobias. They used to date briefly in season 1. At one time Flip and Tobias even switched places. I don't remember why exactly, but Tobias wanted to find something out or something like that. But Flip, who was still in the closet at that time, messed up and got Layla to break up with "Tobias". ;D

Seriously Mark I cannot take any more of this. I'm going to have to go look up some Dutch cuss words so that I can fully convey my dissatisfaction with how much these twins suffer for love. Damn.

Ugh these poor boys, they both just need really big hugs. Who needs Tessel and Koen anyway, they seem to only care for themselves anyways. The boys are better off with someone who won't walk all over their hearts.

See this is what I was afraid of. I would really like to see Flip grow up a bit and not respond to every situation he doesn't like by being bitter and snarky and childish. You'd think he would have learned something from his experience with his dad's girlfriend. I know he has reason to be angry but I just don't enjoy watching him be bitter and spiteful. It's very over-the-top.
Can't they ever let him find a different way to deal with his feelings than lashing out at others?
Sigh...

I get what you mean, but it's in character for Flip (and Tobias) to react this way. It's realistic. Of course I would love to see him have a more mature reaction to things, but can we really expect that from teenagers? Looks like Koen isn't completely over Flip, the way he was looking at him... Hmm. I love Fay. She's one of my favorite characters. Oh, BTW. There's some new info on that new guy Nelson. He debuts this week. He's 15 years old (I think that means he will be in Flip and Tobias' class) and he's from South Africa. He was born there, but his parents are Dutch and now they've returned to the Netherlands. His profile/blog says that he misses his friends and that it's all new and different for him here.

Hmm. Interesting where they've put Nelson's blog on the homepage: Between Flip and Koen? I can only hope that means we'll get a little love triangle. ;D And although I haven't seen Nelson on the show yet, I think he's a cutie.

I agree, I don't totally expect Flip to act like an adult but just not completely the same as before. If you know what I mean? Even a 15 year old can learn from his mistakes. I don't expect him to have a totally different personality and I actually like the fire he has but I guess it's just been a LOT of him being kind of bratty about stuff for a while now.
I'm not sure what to make of Koen because we never get to see inside his head you know? Like even a conversation with Tobias about his feelings would be helpful.
He's young and I know he's trying to figure stuff out and at this age, girls can be a lot more "in charge" when it comes to dating and stuff but he just seems so passive. Like he's just letting stuff happen to him instead of making decisions for himself.
Maybe he might be challenged to take a stand if Flip get's some other male attention (assuming Koen doesn't really want to date Layla which we don't really know yet)
It's possible he just missed Flip as a friend but not necessarily as a boyfriend. Hmmm

Oh, I totally agree that it would be nice to see Flip learn at least something from his mistakes. I guess Spangas really is a soap opera because soap characters often make the same mistakes over and over again. ;D

I love FAY!!! I'm just saying. Haven't watched the clip yet. I'm almost afraid of what horrible love thing could happen to the twins next.
I'm hoping that Tobias has finally gotten the message that Tessel is not good enough for him.
Tobias needs a tomboy type girl who makes him feel totally comfortable but is also kind of mischievous and strong-willed.

You can watch the clip without worrying. It doesn't focus on Flip and Tobias (Koen and Tessel are not in the clip).
Something else: It looks like that Nelson guy will be in Lana's class, not Tobias and Flip's.

The scene where Fay cuts off her hair. Very powerful, IMO. And kudos to the actress playing Fay for doing it on camera.

1) For once, the twins played a prank that was funny, harmless, effective and didn't go overboard. 2) I'm glad Tobias realizes that Tessel at least owes him an apology and should definitely make it up to him if she wants to be with him 3) The one good thing Layla has done is to get the hell out of there quickly. 4) Why is Koen so freaking passive! 5) Someone needs to help Flip mend his broken heart (particularly if Tobias starts hanging with Tessel again and Flip is left on his own a lot now) THanks Mark!

1) Mark what did you think about Koen's non apology yet reasonable explanation. 2) Did either Koen or Flip have anything to say on their blogs about his little monumental event? Am I the only one who needs more of a grand gesture from Koen and a bit more wooing and "I was so wrong" and "I should have told you how I was feelings" and "Can you forgive me" Am I just being too high maintenance? I just think Flip's ego has to have taken a very hard and public bruising and could maybe just some hugging and kissing and "You the most gorgeous guy in the world and I was a fool to let you go" (ok, maybe not from at 15 year old but still, you know what I mean...) Old Koen and Flip couldn't stop kissing and hand holding.

I don't know... It seems like Koen doesn't talk about his feelings very easy. I can understand why it's not so easy for him with a family who has these expectations for him. I don't like what he put Flip through but at the same time I really felt for him when he talked about his parents' happy faces when he brought Layla home with him. Flip's latest blog entry is still about the tzatziki/Dimitri action, but Koen talks about how he was playing basketball and that Flip didn't want to play so he could look at him. He mentions that they're going to see a movie together tomorrow and he seems really happy about it (as far as I can tell from a blog entry of course ). It's almost like the weight of the world was finally lifted from his shoulders when he finally told Flip in today's episode so that he can be himself from now on. Maybe Flip understands it because it wasn't that easy for him either (coming out).
