Hey, he needs a queen (a really one ), but we all know who his heart belongs to... ;D Thanks for the reply, Ivan and amber! I can't wait for the new season! 8 days left. Is it on a saturday? I guess it is, but isn't that a bad slot? Not for the BBC. It's actually a very good time slot. Usually prime time and created for the entire family. I think it will air just before the new series of Strictly Come Dancing? And that's one of the best watched shows in the UK. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. )

The new series looks good! I think I read somewhere (AfterElton?) that Arthur/Bradley James gets his shirt off several times in the new series ... sure hope so! Furry blonds absolutely slay me Hope Colin is okay and things are not as serious as they sound. I actually had the privilege of seeing him once when he was performing in a play in London. I think it was his breakout role. He was good. Apparently he also did some naked gay theater role later on (too bad I missed that!) And yes, 8pm on Saturday is considered a good time slot here in the UK. As already mentioned, it is during the family prime time period. (Which is why certain, er, more exciting elements will never be featured on the show) The first series had the same time slot. And it is indeed the lead-in for Strictly, which premieres its new series at 8.25 instead of the usual 8.30 next Saturday.

How have I not posted in this thread before?!?! I don't really have anything much else to add except that I am ridiculously excited about the new series.
Also, have heard that Colin was back on set a couple of days after he was taken to hospital and seemed ok. Don't know what was wrong. According to interviews and stuff he does have a tendancy to be a bit accident prone and allergic to just about everything. Apparently he got bitten by a dog in ep.2. of series 1 and was rushed to hospital after that, turned out to be nothing. Let's hope this was something similar.

He is. He was working again the next day. Apparently the little article on the French website was a bit exaggerated.

I watched the new episode earlier today and for lots of shirtless Arthur. ;D I do think Colin is looking even thinner than last year. I almost want to give him some extra cookies...

I watched the new episode too, but it really does seem like Merlin and Arthur's personality is a little off. Arthur seem to have regressed back to his original personality of being a prat, while Merlin have became much more subservient to Arthur than he had before.

Arthur taking his shirt off quite a lot, I call that a positive character development ;D But other than that he treats Merlin as a servant only again. I guess it was done for the sake of the storyline so that Merlin would feel tempted to go to the dark side. But he seemed to embrace his role and that he won't be getting any gratitude for it.

Not a lot of slash yesterday. Did love it anyway though: it was the first time I actually bought the Arthur/Gwen stuff. They always lacked a bit of chemistry imo, but yesterday they had a lot of nice moments. Not a lot for Merlin to do yesterday instead of cleaning. I really hope they'll start focusing more on him again in the future. Next week looks interesting though...

A theme, if one can see a theme after two episodes, of this series seems to be Merlin's loyalty. He was being tempted by posessed Cedric and now he's frustrated that nobody acknowledges his constant work and takes him for granted. I just loved his rant to Gaius ;D So he probably enjoyed Arthur being in his shoes for once when somebody else got a reward for what he's done. And I was asked on another forum to make this picture, so I may as well post it here, too ;D

Yes, that scene was cheer brilliance! ;D As was the rant to Gaius. Probably my two most favorite parts.
Arthur the chicken gynaecologist... ;D

Really? Aww, can't wait to watch the episode later today! ;D
Did you see "Merlin Secrets and Magic"? Haven't watched all of it yet, but it was so weird seeing the actors in regular clothes. Plus it's amazing what professional make-up can do! LOL

I hadn't watched 'Secrets and Magic' yet either, but it's definitely worth watching. Some of it was also on the DVD extras but it was great to see it again. I really liked last week's show; it finally felt like season 1 again with the banter between Arthur and Merlin. (I loved episode 2 too, but the focus of that one was more on Gwen and Arthur.)

Finally watched episode 4 and I really liked this one. Old fashioned banter between Arthur and Merlin. (Glad to know Merlin will always be there for Arthur.. ) And I'm really starting to like to Arthur/Gwen/Lancelot triangle. I do think Gwen/Lancelot have a lot more chemistry than Gwen/Arthur though. I do buy Arthurs attraction to Gwen, but I don't see anything the other way round... (The special effects sure have improved btw! I was eating dinner while watching the show and that monster definitely made me loose my appetite.)

Blond and furry ... guh. Thanks for those caps! I'm really glad the skin wasn't just in episode one to lure us in.
The storyline this week is kind of kooky, LOL. And I believe this is the first time they're having a multi-episode arc of the main story (the troll). Everyone is behaving naively; why would even Arthur accept so easily his father's sudden, rushed desire to remarry after years of mourning Arthur's mother?

Arthur did not look very happy about it, but he probably thinks his father deserves something better than just mourning and obsessing about magic. BTW that scene above could have gone so much better like this: Arthur notices Merlin: "Merlin, I feel horny, come here and do something about it!" ;D It was dark ages, anything was possible

;D So much gorgeous skin visible... Definitely the highlight of last week's show. I've read quite some critism about this episode, but I totally loved it. Yes, they did behave a bit naive, but it was it wasn't that extremely out of character that I thought it was annoying. Oh, and I thought Sarah Parish did a great job at impersonating a troll, with and without the prosthetics. The preview for next week looked quite good! Lots of action... BTW that scene above could have gone so much better like this: Arthur notices Merlin: "Merlin, I feel horny, come here and do something about it!" ;D It was dark ages, anything was possible If only wishes came true... ;D

Squeeeee! They sure are back I loved the last 12 minutes of today's epi! Sadly enough Merlin didn't spent his days hiding in or under Arthur's bed A: "Don't be late!" M: "Am I ever?" ;D ;D ;D And of course, Merlin had to loose the poison ...erm sorry potion ;D And the almost hug in the end... *squee*
