Haven't been here for a while, but it's fantastic to see the clips being posted. Love these guys, even though they do seem to be so unsettled together.
Thanks softfurbear and matan4il for providing us with the clips. *hearts*

Courtesy of the lovely matan4il:
matan4il's comments:
Harel isn't too happy about the new business Ziona and he are running. Meanwhile, Amir goes out running with his old army buddy, Eyal.
* If you're wondering why I translated two different sounding expressions as 'good morning', it's because the first time Ziona says it, she does so in Arabic, while the second time is in Aramaic.
* In case it slipped your notice, it seems like Ziona has left the apartment and has found her own place. So no need to worry about Amir and Harel's alone time.
* When Amir talks about Harel's family and says Eyal will get to know what they're like, he's referring to the fact that Eyal is dating Aya, Harel's sister. What he doesn't know is that Eyal was the one to initiate his fight and subsequent break up with Aya because he isn't handling very well a charge that been brought up against him as an army commander (supposedly he abused a soldier).

Newest clip from matan4il:
matan's notes on the clip:
It's the day of Deedee and Uri's divorce, so their kids, Aya and Harel, also get to spend some quality time together. It also happens to be Amir's first day at his new job.
'New face' - This is a term from Judaism, most commonly used in the context of the 7 days of celebrations following a wedding, but it is also sometimes used in the context of the 7 days of mourning following a person's passing away. Both take place within the intimacy of a home - the newly wed couple's or the deceased's - with guests coming and going while the couple or the deceased's immediate family remain there the whole time. This means that the people seen during those days by the couple / the mourners are those who came especially with the intention of sharing with them their joy / sorrow. A 'new face' is the term used to refer to a guest who has arrived at the home of the couple / the deceased for the first time during this period.
Ramat Aviv Gimel - This is considered to have been the first Israeli soap opera ever. Leon was the character of an openly gay man, who therefore became famous as the first "soap gay". The actor who played him was Yonatan Koniak, who is also openly gay. He went on to create a few more shows, including a comedy in which he starred about a gay man still living with his mom (played by one of Israel's first and most famous drag artists).
Corporal G. - Aya, Harel and Amir don't know this yet, but the high ranking officer mentioned by the news presenter is Eyal. His version of the events is different than the one being reported by the media. We, as the audience, never know for sure which version is true.
As usual, my health continues to be an issue, so I apologize for how long it takes me to upload a new clip. I am doing my best, though. Thank you for your understanding.

There are some really interesting developments in this episode. Thanks, as always, to matan4il.
Here are matan4il's comments:
Aya and Eyal decided to give their relationship a second chance, which resulted in a joint dinner with Amir and Harel.
Summer camp - In Israel, during the summer vacation (July and August), summer camps are cheap, available and the majority of Israeli kids attend one. Some are organized by parents' work places, some are themed like the one organized by the Israeli Science Museum in Jerusalem. Either way, the overwhelming majority of summer camps in Israel are run from 8 in the morning to 3 or 4 in the afternoon and while lunch differs from one summer camp to the next, all assume a balanced breakfast and supper are provided at home, so around 10 a.m., kids get chocolate milk and a bun 'til a balanced lunch is served, and that's what Amir is referring to.
Carmela Menashe - a military journalist who became famous for fighting on behalf on soldiers.
Raful - The nickname of Eytan Refael, one of the Israeli army's chief of staffs.
Please excuse this post-and-run, I just really wanted to get to upload one clip in time to wish people Happy Hannukah and any Muslim subscribers this channel might have, a Happy New Islamic Year! I'll do my best to reply to comments when I can.

Yes, I know, I've been missing in action and you have every right in the world to be angry with me. I'm working on getting back to translating more clips for you guys, but in the meantime I just HAD to share with you 2 things and didn't know where else (on the boards) to post, so I hope this is okay - 1 ~ Okay, remember the movie "Yossi & Jagger"? Well, a sequel is on its way. Ohad Knoller will play Yossi once again, ten years down the road, when he'll meet a man played by the guy in the picture, Oz Zehavi. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1877457662155&set=a.1238034076965.2037593.1412641235&ref=nf#!/photo.php?fbid=1877457662155&set=a.1238034076965.2037593.1412641235&pid=32116429&id=1412641235 *hopes this is the right code* 2 ~ Just saw Ohad Knoller in a Tel Aviv train station yesterday. Wanted to say something about what a good actor he is, how much I love the parts he's taken through the years and good luck and such, but the man was in the middle of smoking a cigarette, so it seemed wrong. Still, pretty cool seeing him there.

Oh hon, so glad to see you back!! Hitgaagati eleykha *blows kisses* I'm happy that life has allowed you to be able to translate again. OMG!!!!! *SMOOSH* I'm absolutely thrilled about this as I love Yossi & Jagger! Honestly I could watch Ohad Knoller read the phonebook and I'm sure there's bound to be some lovely emotional scenes. *happy sigh* Do you know if Eytan Fox or Avner Bernheimer will be working on this one too? Or if they have a title yet? Todah!! Wow that is very cool. Somehow I'd like to think he wouldn't have minded the compliments The few interviews I've read/seen with him he seems like a very nice guy. I know in a similiar situation I'd be stuffed full of things I'd feel like saying but end up being way too shy to go up to him. I hope that he will cross you path again sometime (cigarette-less) so you do get a chance to say something.

Okay, this is gonna sound so stupid, but I was sure you've all given up on me, so I didn't think anyone would see my post or would have replied to it. I am so dumb sometimes. So sorry about that! Forgive me? *insert flower holding emoticon here* Margie, thank you so much! *beams* It's so good to know people care. Nothing special happened to me other than the fibromyalgia and the day to day battles that go with it. But there are better times, so I'm here now and enjoying that very much. *hugs* Flaco&Lalo, I did too! When Brokeback Mountain came out, I jokingly referred to it as the American Yossi & Jagger. Just so you get an idea regarding my perspective on things. And I love your avatar! Mtnviewboy, I promised that I would not stop posting as long as there's still something to post which I haven't, so by God, I won't stop posting. And the diabetes and fibromyalgia can kick my ass as much as they want to, I'll always come back. Amir and Harel are lovely IMO and I love being able to share them with you guys, so as long as the storyline is on going, you're gonna get to see them. Softfurbear, your Hebrew slays me in the best way possible! *hearts you so much* It may be silly that I adore that so much, but I do. Gam ani hitgaagati! *hugs ever so much* And I'm glad life's been better too. It really has been, and I'm very thankful for that. As for Yossi & Jagger, I love that movie too! I have so many experiences from it (went to see it 4 times at the cinema around the time that I came out and right after I was done with my mandatory military service, so it means a lot, in many, different ways). I'm very happy that they're making a sequel, I could write an entire manifesto about why. But as for your questions, Ohad Knoller and Eytan Fox from the original movie are both attached to this project right now. Avner Bernheimer, who wrote the script, won't be back, though. I'm not familiar with the work of the guy who is writing the script, but I trust that if Ohad and Eytan are both back and on board, there's a good reason why. Then again, I also know it's always a bad idea to approach a movie with such high expectations. As for a title, right now they only have a tentative one - Yossi's Story. I figure it's likely that it won't be the title by the time the movie comes out, but I'll keep you updated. As for Ohad, I'm sure he wouldn't have minded the compliments, but it really didn't seem like a good moment to bother him. Plus, Israel is small, I'm sure I'll run into him again at more appropriate times. Beautifullion69, yes it does and thank you so much! *hugs* Not only am I better, I'm also really happy to tell you that I've recently found out (after some digging I did for you guys) that a third season of 'Til the Wedding has been ordered! ;D I have no idea when it will air, but whenever that is, you can be sure that I will upload it. I'm guessing it will be a while, though, since I know that right now they can't be shooting it. How do I know this? Because Ohad Knoller is filming another show right now which is filming in Jerusalem, not too far from where I used to live. *g* P.S - Can anyone please update the 'news and press' thread with these bits of info? I'd appreciate it as I still have a lot of comments to answer on YouTube and I would also like to post the next clip and continue the translation of another one today...

Mtnviewboy, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying both shows! And thank you for the kind welcome. *hug* I'm also happy to be back and am still a bit giddy about the third season! I was seriously concerned that the financial recession might hurt original Israeli drama in favor of cheaper productions like reality TV, but now that I know my two fave Israeli shows (TTW and one you guys aren't familiar with... yet ) have a third season, I'm all kinds of delighted. *g*

matan4il, thanks for the comments on the blog (and I'm looking forward to whatever you have in store for us re: Mary Lou). I just had to chime in on the Y&J2 (well, it obviously won't be called that...) discussion. I love the original film a lot and am very excited for the sequel. Does anyone in Israel know what happened to Eytan Fox's film based on Gad Beck's autobiography (gay / third reich). Did he find financing for that? It was floating around the web around the time THE BUBBLE was released.

GayTime, it's my pleasure and keep your fingers crossed for me to be able to start posting subbed clips from that show soon. I'm so glad you loved Y&J too! That movie's very special to me and if you'd like me to, I can update whenever I hear more about the sequel. I did talk to Gal Ochovoski (Eytan Fox's husband and partner on many of his films, including the Gad Beck project) when he came to my uni a short while ago. Gad's story has fascinated me ever since I've seen Paragraph 175, so I had to ask him about it. Gal said that while he and Eytan did meet up with Gad and would have loved telling his story, there were difficulties with the script so as of that moment, he didn't believe it would come to pass.

Can you have a hangover from too much chocolate cake? so I wanna start working on the next clip, but I can't yet... * NEEDS WANTS MORE CHOCOLATE CAKE* *sighs* *headdesk*

Shesh, you're making Israel sound like a small town which I know it isn't. Ok, you are seriously trying to overload me/us with good news you know that? YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! You're meshuga And I say that b'ahavah I am, and I like being crazy! ;D And I adore you for saying that with love. Me? High expectations, never! Only one of my favorite movies ever. Btw, if you ever want to share that manifesto with me I'd love to read it Thank you for the answers. Shesh, you're making Israel sound like a small town which I know it isn't. I love Y&J because it touches upon so many issues which I strongly relate to. The gay theme is obvious, but also the Israeli experience of what it's like being young and having to go through the army and having to face death when you're much too young for it... Now in general, I think there are a lot of movies out there about what's it like, losing someone who meant the world to you. There are definitely more than enough gay movies around this theme. There aren't enough about how you manage to find a new way to face life when you have lost that someone, about how you do live every single day when you've lost that person you didn't think you could live without. It sounds to me (just my impression) like this sequel will be dealing precisely with these issues and it's not only a good thing in and of itself, but combined with the many deaths of gay characters in various movies and shows, it's an important reminder that just because life tries to get you down doesn't mean you have to stay down. *sighs* Well, don't say I didn't warn you that it's long. And yeah, Israel ain't a small village, but it is a small country and another thing that helps is that we don't have the whole 'celebrity culture' thing going on, so local celebs are far more accessible than the ones in other countries. This icon right here, by the way? PERFECT! Not only describes me perfectly during this Seder, but I also am raising a rabbit, so... As for your Hebrew vocabulary, I am damn proud of you for having one that includes more than 'shalom'! *g* Also, I can always try and add to it, if you'd like me to. *hugs and sends tons of love*

Is part 3 available anywhere? It's gone from Youtube and Veoh. I really wanted to see it.
I'm enjoying this story, not sure how I missed it before. Very natural chemistry between the actors and those in their lives. The father/son talk in the woods when the father wanted to kill the dog was very affecting, especially when Harel asked if his father would have had him aborted if they'd known he would be gay.

Hey, carld2, I just got caught up on YouTube and I have to say that this is part of why I love doing this, it's so much fun being able to share the storyline with people who enjoy it! I agree with all you said and am glad you managed to find part 3. Just the other day I was showing it to one of my friends here in Israel and he reminded me how freaking awesome Offer Schechter is for having done it. After all, he had to lie completely naked in the bath on top of another man for several hours for that shoot... *g* PS - I just noticed, Happy Birthday! *hug*
