I thought also from what I heard, that it could be really a great show, when it comes to Gays. The Subtext was allways there in the movie, an then with the Child, the daughter that way it was used in the movie from the subtext, to become both a parent and also that he, the former human dont left the Vampire. Also that in the Movie it was mostly not a physical love, more a platonic love out of boring times with a little bit of desire and a bit of stockholm syndrome love.

I read the book a long time ago, Lestat was definitely described as bisexual and had sex with men before becoming a vampire. Also: Louis is a unreliable narrator in the first book, it becomes clear in the other books that Louis and Lestat were romantically involved |

I watched the first episode, it is very different from the movie,especially also the mood, so I understand some people are disappointed, with this.
But I liked it.

I liked the second Episode better, than the first. It was lighter, I find it was more funny, realy my kind of humor. And they act really like a good couple, all this little details, with al the sites, good ones and bad ones. The chemistry is perfect, is amazing.

SPOILERS AHEAD: Funny, I found episode 2 to be the weakest by far. Too much talking. Not much happening other than Louis "learning" to be a vampire. A few funny moments but no gay kissing or sex. I'd give episode 1 10/10 (it was solid, it had everything, action, gay scenes, Louis' background got highlighted etc). Episode 2 I'd give 6/10 (it was kinda boring, too much chatting and not much gay stuff happening). Episode 3 was again better. I'd give it 8/10. The story was solid again, loved how it all got out of hand and Louis had to deal with the fallout, his relationship with Lestat was messy but interesting and we got blessed with a few gay scenes again. Lestat's jealousy was off the charts. |

Did you not know the movie or the books at least a bit, part of it.
They can not change all from the original story.
I am a bit late on episode 3, because it is not so really legal, to watch it in Germany, now.
Maybe they had could filled a bit, stretch the time, like Episode 2 more extensive. But this you also don't like, the normal daily life.

I think the speed which the story is telled to fast. That could be really a problem. Especially for new Fans.
I had fought they would introduce Claudia at the near End of Season 1. Or only at the 2. Season.

Luis is not gone, but I had thought they wait to break the relationship at the End of Season 1. To get Luis psycho again, like the first hints, that Luis stalked Lestat first. But Luis is normally to be the new vilian and not the boyfriend any longer. He make, created Lestat and Claudia, as Vampires, out of loneliness, out of boring time, because the eternity is to lonely alone. But at least in the movie, the time frame for the crazy but first looking good relationship between Luis, Lestat and Claudia was takes longer, years in the movie, till it Ends. Also that Claudia is frustrated, that she will not get older, allways looke like a kid for ever, this was is the first huge fight, because Lestat can totally unterstand Claudia more and more with time, than Luis and I think Claudia wants at a time, to kill Luis. But their plans don't works. Only to make Luis more angry.

I always mixed names up, also in real life. I can remember numbers, with no problem, but Names are a real problem for me, only if they had good nicknames, that fit to them.
