Personally I'd rather you posted the naked French Rugby player... Just sayin'.... Points you in the direction of the chat thread, pgs 140 and 146 ;D No more tears?? Don't despair, maybe there is a Christian out their for all of us. Of course they won't all be Thore Scholermann but I think I can deal:) He, too, can be yours if you win him in the MASH game that is all over LJ like I did though I was pulling Igor.

You should! you might meet your 'christian that way' and if people ask you who Ollian is, then pass out little slips of paper with Nanna's link to you Youtube ;D ;D

Ok, so how funny were Judith and Olli when Christian was telling Gregor he dumped Wolle because of the steroids? They were like...." Uh ...Hello? Time to come out...going right by...Oops. It's gone..." That was funny. I especially like Judith's reaction, with the hands being thrown up and everything. Like that is so not the reason he dumped Wolle. And that was nearly the perfect time to say something. On the other hand, had Christian said something, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the scene of Gregor walking in on them in flagrante delicto. ;D But I also thought the "oh get it over with" aspect of that on Judith's part was kind of pot and kettle. I mean, how many times have Christian and Olli used body language to express similar sentiments about her own dramas?

Absolutely, I mean really is there seriously a question of who she should choose? Should choose or will choose? But yes, Judith being exasperated over some drama of Christian's is the ultimate in irony.

Curse you, VL. This is the third ep in a row that has actually brought me to tears. Christian is caught between his dream of success and his dream of love - damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. I don't know what it is - maybe the way Thore sells the situation - but this strikes such a deep chord for me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Ivan, Nanna & Tihkon2!!! Mere words cannot express my gratitude!
You've spoiled us with another fantastic Ollian moment of many.
I gotta admit I also noticed Olli's shoes as soon as he climbed onto the bed, though I wasn't particularly bothered by it. I didn't really noticed Christian's though. The shoes on the bed thing can be a bit distracting to the overall romanticism of the scene. It might have been better if the bed had been made and had a proper bed cover, then there wouldn't have been as much controversy over the shoes. Of course, the director/writers probably opted for the unmade bed as being representative of Christian being the typical jock with the messy bedroom. But then everyone still noticed that the bed linens had all been straightened out by the time the boys were getting frisky. Oh well...
Also, I realize the plot called for Gregor to come barging in without warning to catch Ollian in flagrante delicto, but you'd think they would have learned by now to lock their bedroom door, after the Olivia incident and with Lydia as a roommate.

So, LJ had some sort of MASH game recently? I haven't been back to update my page in well over a month (or is it two now?) because I quit smoking. Yes, I am unable to write without smoking and so I have had NOTHING IN FOREVER to post. (Unfortunately, I have a bazillion stories crammed in my head that won't go away, though...I just physically CAN NOT write without smoking.) Once I get that kicked I hope to catch up. Must find out what Ronnie and Ben are up to...ummmm. Bronnie.

The last time I watched it, I paid some attention to the shoes, since so many have commented on it. You know, Olli came in after Christian had gone up from No Limits. Olli pretty much went directly to talk to him. He stood. He sat on the side of the bed. And when the conversation moved to a more tender and caring point, he went to sit beside Christian and cuddle up next to him. Would you stop at just that perfect moment and say "Oh, wait a moment while I take off my shoes. Hold that thought"? No, I didn't think so. Or that things were chaotic and messy just then, not just the bedroom, but Christian and his dreams and emotions and such. But then, when they were getting frisky things are more in order, more as they ought to be. Or maybe not. That's probably reading too much into it. But who knows, it does seem that they did that kind of thing with the blocking during the discussion in the living room on Friday. Wow. Two of us have used latin in the same 24 hour period. I wonder if Aldebaran is going to be giddy when he reads this tomorrow.

Is it just a Canadian thing to take off your shoes as soon as you get in the house? Because, seriously, if someone just waltzed on through my front door and into my living room or bedroom, with their shoes from the outside still on, I'd think they were rude, or crazy, or both...

My experience in the upper midwest is that it varies a great deal. Some people seem to have house rules that shoes are removed at the door. Other people don't take shoes off indoors, unless they are muddy. Other people just tend to remove their shoes when they come in, but don't see it as a rule. And how these rules or behaviors apply to guests seems to very too. I've been in households where the family has the shoe removal rule, but it doesn't apply to guests, and others where it does. Go figure. I'm one of those people who just automatically takes his shoes off upon arriving home, but has never had a rule about it (of my own or my parent's making).

That's why I suggested the alternate scene setting with the bed properly made. That way, someone climbing onto the bed with his shoes on wouldn't elicit as much disapproval, and the scene would have naturally progressed to Olli holding Christian's hand without viewers thinking about his shoes and disrupting the mood a bit. Christian's bed has been neatly made up in some past scenes. The bedding hasn't always been bunched up like in today's episode. Anyway, I have a feeling the director of this ep didn't analyze the scene setup to the degree that we have been.

That being said, I just finished reading all this and am gonna make a bunch of posts. Fair warning and all that. I'm gonna try to break them up into smaller ones instead of the epic length ones I normally post. And it has nothing to do with the fact that I am sooooooo close to the next level. ;D

;---- gives psionycx seductive stare , but it loses impact because of wiping eyes with tissues because of what B'Chick brought to attention.. Awwwww....come, let me hold your hand and you can put your head on my shoulder. But don't you dare wear shoes in my bed!!! Nanna my love, as much as we are endlessly grateful for the unbelievably fast turnaround you manage on subtitling the clips, do you never sleep?! I would hate to think that you're ruining your health for us, even as much as I love Christian and Olli. I second this concern, my dear. I've been worried about you lately! I know how hard-working German People are---my poor Uncle is so distraught about my Aunt---she just will NOT stop working and working.... My sincerest thanks to thee and thine for all your hard work; and, of course, I mean the entire Translation Team, as well. Geoff

Bonobochick. Kissing the heart. So romantic. I hadn't noticed that.
I did notice something else though. The face Christian made after he laid his head on Olli's shoulder. The one right before the cut. It's the same face Christian made in the alley after Olli said "I love you." The I want to say I love you but can't get the words out self aware regret face. So I think the heart kiss played into that. He can't say it in words so he says it symbolically.

Now, about the shoes on the bed...
heh heh heh
Afraid I didn't notice it until it was too late. I was just thinking: Olli, grab this guy and give him a big hug. But, getting closer and showing comfortable affection was just as right. After the fact, yeah, it sorta makes me uncomfortable having shoes on the bed----am I corrupted, too?
oh noooz! ;D
A little critique: yeah, I think the jump into intimacy of that magnitude was a bit abrupt--obviously done for the shock value for us and for Gregor. How much more romantic would it have been had the guys just been making out seated there and fully clothed---and more irritating for Gregor to have interrupted?
But, regardless, the intimate scene was heartwarming in other ways. It shows that Christian is completely at ease with himself, now (we already know he's completely at ease with Oliver). Even facing the ultimate collapse of his father's dream for him (which I'm still not convinced is his own personal dream) he feels an undying passion for his mate.
I could wish for Christian to be a little more concerned with Oliver's own situation---not saying he isn't or that this isn't assumed to have happened 'off-camera' of course. I'd like to see him doing something nice for Olli all on his own.

Now that Nanna has posted the HQ file on sendspace, and I have had a chance to download it, I've undertaken that terrible and irritating chore of watching it again. I noticed something small, but something I thought was a bit of a nice touch. When Gregor walks into Christian's room, we see him first noticing the guys. It's like he's thinking "What's this, and why is Olli making out with a guy in my brother's room." But then when Olli manages to rouse a rather busy Christian to pay attention to what just happened, we see Gregor do a double take. "Oh, Olli is making out with... with my brother." Nice job from Andreas there (and probably writers and director, too).

I liked how this episode helped to more fully explain why Christian is afraid to tell Gregor. How it's no longer just projecting his own fear onto Gregor or the daddy-issue thing. It's how the one person Gregor trusts has been lying to him for the last few months. Though even without the preview, the fact that they are finally exploring this issue is a soap dead give-away that Gregor is about to find out. Though they did need a viable reason as to why open minded Gregor would be upset about it.
Now for the reading waaaay tooo muuuch into it part. ;D Interesting how (at least in the English version) when offering to be Christian's new promoter Gregor says, "Unless you don't trust your own brother." *Totally aware that I'm over analyzing. I blame all those high school and college English/literature classes.* Christian's sorta right about Gregor not taking him seriously. Gregor sometimes gets that "I'm your older brother therefore I know what's best for you" thing going. I personally like that the writers do that. It makes their sibling relationship seem more realistic than some others.
