Ooooo thanks, to all of you: Ivan, tihkon, & Nanna!
That was great--very 'gripping'. And Nanna--your translation is masterful! It brings my unfortunately very blurry German comprehension into crystal clear focus!--truly perfect fit.
And then there's the finding of English counterparts to the German word-play: warmth in winter provided by the 'warmer Bruder' --> good bedtime tales by the 'fairy'. Wonderful!
Thanks eversomuch!!!

You're right, Christian definitely says Kellner, not Kerl. Sorry for the slip-up with the transcription!

Everytime I see Christian wearing the sweater with 3 chinese words - ³Ì»È±j, I cannot help thinking of foul language. what ³Ì»È±j means in chinese is fxxking strong (in English), It's funny.

Wait, the shirt says "fxxking" or it says "fxxking strong"? I'm just amazed that those things even mean anything. Somehow I always assumed that European companies just made up signs that looks vaguely like Chinese signs. Anyway, if it says "fxxking strong" that is too funny, because it fits Christian, the boxer.

THANK YOU Nanna, Ivan, and Tihkon! You are truly my dream team! ;D Todays episode was worth the wait! Ollian were so good together! Gregor has found yet another color he looks hot wearing, and now that I know what C's shirt says, I like it even better! Judith was starting to wear on me a little, so it was nice to see her back in form as the best friend and flatmate ever! And Wolle......well I can think of a lovely place I'd love to shove that carrot! >:(PS to the architects trying to do the floorplan.....I think you are going to need a magic wand and some dust!

Wow. Thanks as always, Nanna. I thought I understood bits and pieces, but I didn't fully realize the extent of the vitriol of Wolle's epithets or Christian's desperation until I read the English subs. Another fantastic episode.
A little off topic, but I just have to say say, ATWT really needs to take a crash course on VL if they want Nuke to get back on track. It'll take more than Cyndi Lauper to fix the mess the story those characters are in right now.

I see Lola beat me to it but anyway here's the video
Many thanks to Ivan for the video and especially for including the preview and to Tihkon for his help with the translation. You're both really sweet guys.
Sorry it took me so long to upload the clip. Apparently YouTube had some problems today so it took me 4 attempts till the thing finally was up.

Can you imagine if Olivia were in Judith's shoes and had the opportunity to tell Wolle off? That would have been hot!

Actually it says fxxking strongest. In fact, those words are not exactly foul langauage but it pronouce like fxxking strongest in chinese. I wonder if they do know what it means unless there is a chinese among the crew. If someone wear this kind of signs in the street in Hong Kong, People cannot help laughing & staring at him, LOL ;D

Okay, I've given up trying to figure out the flatshare. It's too emotionally draining. Mad props to Nanna, Ivan and Tihkon for all their hard work on getting these clips up for the rest of us! Where would we be without you guys? Wolle really acts like he just owns every place he walks into doesn't he? In a rare failure of the No Limits sound suppression principle Wolle's bigoted remarks carry clearly throughout the place and it seems like Gregor doesn't find it at all amusing. But even upstairs he pushes it. He ought to be careful. He can't always have his boxers around to protect him and sooner or later somebody is going to beat him up. Olli should have decked him for the "fairy" remark. Christian looked almost constantly sick to his stomach throughout the whole episode. Poor guy. One thing that's well-established with his character is his belief in being loyal. Letting Wolle go on like this and having to pretend to agree with it, and seeing what it does to Olli affects him like a knife in the gut. It's all the worse because Olli is enduring it for his sake, which makes him feel even more horrible. But it was just so incredibly romantic when Christian said that their relationship is more important than his career. The thing is that you can believe it when he says it. This episode you could tell he was only barely holding back from telling Wolle off. He's not at all enthusiastic or happy about the charade and is only just managing to endure it. I'm contrasting this to the NoAmeera nonsense over on ATWT, where Noah is always telling Luke how important he is to him, but then his behavior always puts Ameera first, to the point where he's almost adversarial with Luke at times. Christian on the other hand is not even pretending that he's happy about this situation with Wolle and that he's in agony over the strain it's putting on his relationship. Being that he's really bisexual, he could easily just dump Olli and get a girlfriend to appease Wolle (Miriam awaits right downstairs). But while he's (barely) willing to hide his relationship with Olli he definitely isn't willing to end it. Now this is drama! Can we force the ATWT writers to watch and learn?

I think another really, really good moment is Olli's ironic laugh, just after Gregor's puzzled comment concerning Christian's apparent complicity in Wolle's gay-disparaging. "If you only knew, Gregor . . . "
And that the truth is: yes, Christian's put it SOOOO far behind him, and yet it's still right here under their noses and, so far as keeping up appearances is concerned, looming over their future as far as their eye can see . . .
So much meaning in just one spasmed exhalation!

Can you imagine if Olivia were in Judith's shoes and had the opportunity to tell Wolle off? That would have been hot! It certainly would have included substantially more detail as to why Wolle is a slug, how repulsive he is, why he should mind his own business and probably a threat to blackmail him for doping his boxers. Yes, I can see how Olivia might have been more useful here. Plus she might have made a few Euros.

Oh man. It would have been a thing of beauty. I bet her remarks would have gone in the direction of Wolle being a closet case who is spending way too much time with his muscular young boxers. ;D Or him being preoccupied with everybody's sex life because no woman would touch him with a ten foot pole. Olli looked like he was clearly holding back big time in the scene in the doorway of the flat because he knows Wolle is important for Christian's career. (and I don't mean as much revealing that he and Chris are an item, but just generally giving a piece of mind) I think that's pure Christian though. I think even if he didn't love Olli this much, he still wouldn't do anything like this because it would go against his code of honor big time. May I ask where you are from? Because I bet it would make everybody's day at VL if somebody sent them fanmail from Asia

And/but I think, between these two, it would not have long remained at the threat / shrieking stage--very shortly would have progressed/degenerated to the scratched-out-eyes, kneed-genitals, carrot-up-bum stage . . . making Christian and Axel's interaction in the ring seem like mutual caressing . . . so yes, an opportunity unfortunately missed, for sure.

Wait, you mean it doesn't already look like mutual caressing? Who knows, maybe Olivia and Wolle would have found true love and run off together!

Re Christian & Axel--well, yes, sometimes it has--but we don't approve of things tending in that direction, do we? However, regarding marriages-made-in-hell, one between Olivia & Wolle is a prime one to contemplate. But maybe it can be like in a Shakespeare comedy: once Olivia & Wolle find true love, they'll reform and then Gregor & Miriam, Olivia & Wolle, and of course C&O, will all get married in a combined ceremony, with sirtaki dancing.

You just don't know how much I wish Olivia had been hanging out with Olli when Wolle stopped by. Her taking him down - come on, you know she would have won - would have been great. Odds are at 100% that she would have accused Wolle of being a closet queer that secretly gets off watching his boxers workout. Odds are likewise 100% that Wolle would have gotten in her face about it. Finally, odds are 100% that she would have delivered a Charlie's Angels kick that would have sent him flying across the hall. And then she would have blackmailed him. The one time she's really needed and she's not there. Honestly her timing...

Hi everybody, I'm new here. So this is my first post. I think this episode was one of the most emotional for me, because it clearly shows how homophobia can still make people's daily life miserable. For me, this episode is more than just showing another day in the life of our boys, it clearly demonstrates the emotional drain that comes with the double-life so many gay people still (have to) live in real life. The scene in the flat when Christian and Olli discuss their relationship and Christian's boxing carreer clearly shows even Olli getting fed up with the mascarade they have to put up each day. For weeks he has been convincing Christian to stay in the closet because of his boxing carreer, but in this scene even Olli gets frustrated and seems to realize that this can't go on forever. The acting is so good, I could almost actually feel these boys' pain. When they kiss, Christian nearly starts crying. It's obvious he too gets more and more depressed because of the fear, the hiding and the lies and it's a good thing he's going to put an end to it now. This scene reminds me very strongly of the scene in Brokeback Mountain, where Jack and Ennis meet for the last time. They argue about how their lives are becoming unbearable because of all the hiding and lying and the fear of being caught. Jack eventually says this can't go on anymore and Ennis breaks down emotionally because he fears losing Jack. It's a very similar scene, actually Olli and Christian remind me often of Jack and Ennis. Anyhow, this was a very good job from the writers of VL to put in such an emotionally gripping scene, it shows the viewers how gay people still have to struggle more in life than most straight people do. And as always, Jo and Thore are doing a superb acting job and they make this story seem like real life. These men are really great actors!

bg26, welcome aboard! Always good to have a new voice in the board!
Let's just hope that we don't get a Jack and Ennis ending here!
I agree that the scene was very well done. It's gone from them just having to keep their relationship a secret to Olli having to endure fake homophobia from Christian and real homophobia from Wolle. Plus the steroid situation makes things worse.
But I think that this is different from Brokeback in that Christian doesn't really want the situation to continue and it isn't likely to for much longer because you can see the strain it's putting on him as well as Olli. Christian made it clear that their relationship comes first in his mind this episode. That was such a romantic moment, along with the kiss. It really did look like Christian was about to cry.

Well, judging from this episode, the whole nasty Wolle thing has finally reached an end with Christian. Both of them are suffering from this situation. And, it just can't go on anymore---not like this. I just knew the wait for the next episode was going to drive me crazy.
