Out actor Bradley Gibson has a regular role in the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Helen Wan's real life-inspired novel The Partner Track (premiering August 26th). I haven't read the book so is the role an explicitly gay one? He certainly comes off as the gay best friend in the trailer.

Teaser trailer out now for the Netflix reboot of Aussie high school drama Heartbreak High. It will debut on September 14. James Majoos' character Darren seems fairly prominent but I couldn't spot any gay romance (looks like there's a lesbian kiss, and Josh Heuston's character, who is described as being into both girls and boys, is seen kissing a girl). http://instagram.com/p/CguzA49BZi5

PLL: Original Sin's latest trailer, for the final batch of episodes which debut next Thursday, has a blink-and-miss gay kiss at 46 seconds, involving (I think) the sheriff played by Eric Johnson. Of course, if he is in fact queer, this is on-brand for Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa since he's one of the most loathsome characters: a sheriff who abuses his power and controls his wife and twin daughters, one of whom is the central murder victim. In other news, season 11 of American Horror Story, which is currently filming, will feature a gay kiss between returning star Isaac Cole Powell and Charlie Carver. Both actors are openly gay. A few more details at the link, and I'm posting the photo here: www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a40856430/american-horror-story-season-11-gay-kiss-set-photo/

High Heat, a Netflix Mexico production ( Donde Hubo Fuego is the Spanish title) is a show about firefighters. One of its teaser trailers on the website below includes a quick gay kiss between Daniel Gama and another guy I can't ID (I don't think he is a regular cast member). Out actor Polo Morin is also starring but plays a straight character. The show debuts on Wednesday, 17 August. www.netflix.com/my-en/title/81397422

Dave commissioned a number of comedy pilots and one of them which aired this week, The Other Half, is centered on a half-Welsh, half-Iranian, closeted gay man played by Vahid Gold. www.pinknews.co.uk/2022/08/23/vahid-gold-the-other-half-dave/So far, they've only commissioned a pilot but assuming the ratings and feedback are good, it may be spun off into a full series.

They are filming the adaptation of Reina Roja (Red queen) a bestseller novel by Juan Gómez-Jurado.
It's a thriller (so no romance here) but one of the two main characters is a gay cop.
Hopefully they will do a great job because the novel is a real page turner

Netflix has announced a reboot of '90s Aussie high school drama Heartbreak High for an 8-episode first season that's already begun production and due to debut next year. More details at the link, but I've extracted the most pertinent casting. Dusty is definitely a queer male character and I guess Darren is nonbinary? I'm not so sure whether Ca$h's identity struggle has to do with his sexuality (the actor identifies as he/him and appears to be white). There's also a lesbian character. - DUSTY (Josh Heuston) [He/Him] (Dive Club, Thor: Love and Thunder, Finally Me) is so gorgeous it hurts. He’s the bass player in an indie rock band and has slept with half the girls – and even a few boys – at school, but underneath the hot aesthetic he’s just as insecure as the rest of us mere humans.
- DARREN (James Majoos) [They/Them/He/Him] (Fangirls, Grand Horizons, Vivid White) is the warmest snarky shit-stirrer you’re ever likely to meet. Whilst they are outwardly brash, inwardly Darren fears they are a hard person to love.
- CA$H (Will McDonald) [He/Him] (Riot, Home and Away, Young Rock) is a drug dealer, food delivery driver, pet duck owner, eshay. Beneath the mullet, Ca$h is a complex young man quietly struggling with his identity.
Ahead of the premiere next week, they've released some character montages - if you look in the background of Cash's, you can see Darren hugging him. http://instagram.com/p/CiRm-xcrCla http://instagram.com/p/CiRnmdBLOcV

Unfortunately it looks like Netflix may be trying to bury its upcoming adaptation of the Half Bad trilogy, which debuts in 4 weeks' time. Even the choice of new title is pretty bizarre. As a refresher, the show has a bi male lead and gay secondary protagonist.

Any news of when this is premiering? Unfortunately I haven't seen a date beyond "autumn" so I would assume some time between September and November (probably the earlier half since they already have a trailer out). Prisma is already out on Amazon Prime Video here in Brazil… don’t know if it’s out everywhere. I’ll start watching today

I watched the first episode, and I think I am to old now for this kind of Story, Show. The target audience looks like 12 up to 18 years.

Considering most episodes are rated +16 to being with, I’m not sure this is targeted at 12 year-olds at all lol The tone of the show and the storylines are way more mature than stuff like Heartstopper (which is definitely more in line with that “early teens” age group), so I personally feel it has a way broader appeal beyond the young adult crowd… I love coming of age stories, and this one is very well done so far

The Midnight Club was fucking awful. Do not watch, you have been warned. I was considering posting a thread, but won't now after watching it. It's not worth it. The gay storyline is abysmal.
Spoiler: everyone gets a love life except the gay guy, of course. I did sorta like the storyline with him not being accepted by his parents but then accepting him in the last episode. That was nice. And he did get to kiss and actually "be gay" in a couple of the stories that they told. However, he and Cheri (the lesbian) were the only ones without a love life. That bugged me a lot, especiallly when the writers teased us with him and Mark. I really thought it would go somewhere, as they had chemistry and they bonded during the show. And we know Mark is gay too as he talked about coming out. I guess maybe season 1 was about Spence and his relationship wih his parents? Now that that part is done with, maybe he'll get a love life if there's a season 2? One can only hope I guess. He had very little screen time in season 1, so I'm not holding my breath that they'll actually do his storyline justice next season.

New show on Netflix has a gay storyline. The show's name is Holy Family. I posted a thread about this show yesterday, but after watching the last few episodes it went really downhill and I didn't think it deserved a thread. It was THAT bad.
Anyways, Abel is the gay character. He is part of the main family. German is one of two people investigating the family, the other one being a woman.
SPOILERS AHEAD:
The first 4 episodes were really good and cute. Abel and German had great chemistry, their storyline was adorable and their sex scene was hot. I liked how Abel came out to his mom and she accepted him. This is where the good stuff ends. German decides to distance himself from Abel because the people he works for now want him to murder the family, not just take the child. After that happened the storyline went downhill. He ended up sleeping with a woman. No, I'm not joking. He ended up sleeping with the woman he's working with, who was hired to take the baby. Anyway, he didn't seem to enjoy it and to be fair he might have been bi or pan since his sexuality was never mentioned. I think his first time with another guy was with Abel. But still... this is a trope I just can't forget or get past. I expected better from a Spanish show.

Especialy Prime uses mostly the US age, for all countries which is not realy good working, especialy more for like LGBT stuff are bad, nothing for kids, what the view of Amercians is, it is not worldwide. For Prisma yes it says sometimes 16, but why? The target audience on Prime Germany, is for Primsa Teenagers, which are 14 - 18 Years old and LGBTQ. The more hilarious is the age restriction with the new GayRomCom Bros in the US you must be 17 year old, in Germany is 12 year old enough.

Looks like Jon K is playing gay (or bi) again on this Spanish show that will premiere next week. He's kissing a guy in this character trailer. PS: He is not featured a lot the main trailer, so I question how much he is actually featured on the show. Either way... he looks hot and plays gay/bi, so I'll check it out.
Main trailer for El Inmortal:
