I must have missed something was this A novel Sorry for the late reply, dmagiclight. I've just noticed your reply and realised you have misconstrued my use of the term 'bookend'. Amore isn't a novel and I didn't really mean to imply that it was. I was using the term in the literary sense in which a story begins and ends at the same point in time and contains within it a different central narrative. So, in this instance the series had its opening bookend with Jimmy arriving at a radio station to talk about the love he lost ten years ago. The story he then relates - basically the whole Amore series we have been watching - is the central narrative, and in the last episode we should get back to the point where we started, with Jimmy finishing his story at the radio station. That's the closing bookend I was referring to in my last comment. Apologies for the confusion.

I kind of think that they probably should have just ended the show at the ~7 1/2 minute in episode 26 - and left it as a happy ending with Jimmy and Joey in domestic bliss.
I am not sure what to think of the trailer they posted for Petite Brockovich's new show with Star Digital Network - an odd couple/slapstick routine???

So, as suspected, all the BTS problems have led to the series being cut short and the next episode on Sunday will be the last.

I haven't watched the last episode yet so don't know how the story turns out, however Star Digital have already announced Season 2:

I have been putting off the final for awhile especially after seeing Antistatic's spoiler post about a season 2. So I cannot say that I was overwhelmed when watching it. On the plus side it had one more nice scene between Madame Tusha and Jimmy - I have to say that the Petite Brockovich and Drei Arias probably had the most natural chemistry together of the cast that stuck it out to the end - they really did have the feel of an aunt and favored nephew. Though Madame Tusha probably should have tried harder to convince Jimmy not to become a priest.
Joey - well at least he was consistent in being selfish to the very end of the season. I cannot believe he actually told Jimmy to wait some indeterminate amount of time for him to come back. Then decided to show up just as Jimmy is getting ready to make a commitment to faith.
That last set - did they borrow it from some army base about to get overridden by zombies on day 2 of the apocalypse??? Otherwise that radio station must be in a really bad part of town. Maybe it was a metaphor for this train wreck - two people blindly walking through a tunnel of barbed wire and metal railings only to cling to each other in melodramatic tears.
If it is the same cast for season 2, I don't think I will be returning. I don't think even with the promise of a director with more talent, a much tighter storyline and the return of Nuan (preferably with Dexter in tow) that would I come back.

Today the You Tube account of Star Image Digital Network has been terminated for violating YouTube's Community Guidelines. This means that all links for Amore will no longer work. At the moment all videos have been set to private by YT pending a possible appeal. This will be the same for all the other series put out by Star Image including The Shore, The Alter and the unfinished Handsome Just Looking. Presumably their upcoming new series Serpiente will also be cancelled too. In light of these events I'm not sure whether it's worth mentioning that all the cast of Amore are/were? slated to return for 'a very special episode' of Amore called The Reunion. I assume the future of this episode will depend on whether Star Image win their YT appeal.

I hope they win there appeal Although I'm inclined to agree, simply because I'd like to see the return of their innocuous content such as 'The Shore' and their gay short films like 'L.A.F.S' and 'AnniverSorry' , as well as the musical videos put out by some of their talent like Jules Indiola, Drei Arias and Ivan Sarte, I suppose it will all be down to whether the company really have broken YT's rules and whether their transgression is classed as a serious breach. Star Image started out as - and continue to be - an Artist & Influencer Management Company. They have a number of contentious personalities signed up, the most [in]famous being Buknoy Glamurrr and Xander Ford*. Both have been divisive, behaved badly, and caused a lot of controversy in the past. I've never bothered looking at their vlogs on YT but whatever the company are accused of, it could easily be something related to that side of things rather than anything to do with their BL output. Having said that, 'The Alter' and Petite Brockovich's latest show 'Pork en Vinz' have both been criticised for being in poor taste. I've never seen either of them so can't really comment. *Xander Ford appeared fleetingly in Amore as the dumb cousin of Madam Tusha but he was only in a few episodes before she suddenly announced she'd sent him back home. In reality that was because Xander had got himself arrested and eventually had to be bailed out of jail by Star Image bosses.

They must have passed their appeal - as their content is back to being available.

Most of the cast showed up for a reunion party:
It kind of looks like Nuan's wardrobe was whatever Jules was wearing the day of filming - because he looks exactly the same in this clip. Ivan (Wil) has let his hair grow out - and weirdly looks somewhat petite next to everyone else - I never had that impression when watching the show. Erwin (Joey) got a really attractive haircut - he looks really good in this clip.

Personally I like Erwin and Drei's shorter haircuts and think they both suit them more than the longer styles they had at the end of Amore.
Presumably this was the special episode referred to on the Reunion poster. Although it did have the five main actors, it didn't really feature 'all the cast' by any stretch of the imagination. Where was Princess, housekeeper Pretty, Kenji's sidekick Enzo or Madam Tusha's boy-toy Shane? They were, at the very least, recurring characters who appeared much more than Madam Tusha's cousin played by bad boy Xander Ford who was there and kept popping up trying to steal the limelight.
Most importantly, where was Planty?

They are. This is just the finale of the first story.
In truth they haven't given anything away about the follow up apart from putting out that poster above which says Mi Amore Book II. We don't even know if the next season will feature any of the characters from this first season at all. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

Jodi Garcia just doesn't know when to let go, does he? He's taken the Amore series and remade it with an entirely new cast. I'm inclined to be of the opinion that it is just the latest salvo in his ongoing war of attrition against former employer Star Image Digital rather than any aesthetic desire on his part to enhance the original.
It will be released by his own Acquired Film Productions.
Here's the first teaser which doesn't really give anything away:
