This show keeps pulling my emotions all over the place. I'm so torn over who I want Joey to be with. I was back onboard the JoWil ship after that cute sofa scene, then along comes Nuan baring his soul out of the blue. Poor guy! I died a thousand deaths for him being friendzoned in front of everybody... I just want to hug him now.

Wil continues to be so charming and swoon worthy with his sweet smile and long romantic gaze that I don't know what Joey is waiting for, unless he really is meant to be so naive that he's not aware of what being in love actually is. He admitted he knew all along that Nuan loved him so he must also know the depth of Wil's feelings for him. At this stage it's starting to feel like he's just keeping Wil dangling while he's trying to decide what he really wants. And what was with him claiming he can't get inspired to write a poem because he has no love life? Has he forgotten he's just had two guys declare their love for him in the past week? How on earth is Joey oblivious to those goo goo eyes? When did that snooty classmate Gaile arrive? And where are all these new people sleeping? Jimmy was foisted onto Joey because there was no other space available and now it's suddenly no problem for them to accommodate Gaile, housekeeper Pretty and cousin Burnok too.

I just got caught up on the last three clips (it has been a hectic week). I am a little confused that Joey seems to know who cousin Burnok is. I will admit that I liked Burnok and Pretty - that was a fun breakfast (save for the random rude dorm-mate). Sadly not enough Madam Tusha. Poor Nuan - I was really hoping the boy watching his reaction to the Wil-Joey hug a couple clips back was a potential love interest - so really disappointed that it ended up being his brother (though his brother did get lots of points back for at least being really nice to his sibling). Wil went slightly up in my estimation with the concerns he expressed to Joey about Nuan - but still has a long way to go before I will be happy with him. I still don't understand why he is having his friend work to get Joey fired from the library. His talking to Plantie was endearing at first in episode 4, but by the scenes in the first part of 5 - I was starting to wonder if he was losing his mind. Jimmy and Joey had some good scenes, but I just not sure I can stomach the odd couple routine of Jimmy, Joey and the Baby Mama (who I am starting to think is experiencing a miraculous conception - because I have no sense of how long has passed since the start of the semester other than the off-hand comment of her suddenly being 6 months pregnant [maybe that was a mistranslation of the subtitles? but the way she is holding her belly suggests she is far along]; I don't think Jimmy is actually the father). Joey - I agree with you Antistatic that the writer's block was really odd. I don't know what to think about this. Joey has been pretty strange when it comes to the competing feelings of Wil and Nuan - I think Joey relies on avoidance as his primary mechanism for conflict resolution, and is now finding by the end of 4 and into 5 that maybe that is not the best coping mechanism. Part of my problem with getting a read on Joey is that the actor isn't quite as experienced at getting his facial expressions to fully match the scenes he is in. Maybe he is feeling suffocated - just too much interest from both guys? I liked Brenda's beret - she looked very stylish. Regardless - I still quite enjoy the show (sure part of that might be Nuan's nice jawline and the scene in the opening credits where he is working on the car).

Actually managed to watch the episode part during the premiere. Drunk Nuan was something else - though I kind of wish he had vomited on Wil's shoes. They made a good choice for casting his brother - Gilbert (and now we know his name) has a nice jawline to I am not sure that I really want to know the back story behind the uncle's interest in Nuan - Gilbert certainly looked really pissed off about the attempted kiss. Jelay and Brenda are really good friends to come and fetch the hot (drunk) mess that was Nuan. I think if he had called me to help him go over to Joey's, and I arrived at his house finding him that drunk, that I would have made him drink some water, take some aspirin and put him to bed. He is going to have a brutal hangover. Pretty and Joey were fun - Erwin Buenaventura seemed to be having a lot of fun in the scene. The Joey-Princess scenes were okay - but Joey is definitely polishing his pedestal for his statue when his sainthood is announced. Most of the Wil-Joey scene, I was trying to figure out what they were eating and whether or not there was actually anything in their mugs. I could see the chat feed in the corner - I think I must be in the minority in not wanting JoWil.

I guess I was wrong - the brother's name is not Gilbert, instead that was the creepy uncle's name. Imdb lists Donn Mergel as Nuan's workshop mate Dexter - but based on some google sleuthing, appears to be the actor playing the brother. I really enjoyed Nuan's scenes with his brother and with Brenda - this was definitely Jules's episode to shine in - and I enjoy that he and the other cast members actually duck in to the chat for the videos. Jules has been very gracious in accepting praise in the last part.
Joey - Princess hit you over the head with a plot anvil - when she asks about someone fooling her partner, she means she is fooling her partner. She also looks ready to burst - have another 2 months passed in their weird timeline?

Who'd have guessed that of the four amores who are after Joey it would be Kenji who sneaks in to steal the first kiss? Wasn't expecting that. I loved the talk between Wil and Nuan. I got more feels from that teary five minute scene than I have from the entire first three episodes of LBC2. And yes, once again I'm left wanting to give Nuan a big hug.

We might have to start a line for Nuan hugging - maybe charge admission Well, the Kenjii incident - I guess I can enjoy how conflicted he was after forcing that kiss on Joey. At least he seemed to realize just how in the wrong he was. Frankly any University on the planet would likely fire and expel him for that kind of behavior (and with the way they shot the scene - it really seems like someone witnessed it and there may be more drama to come). Wil and Nuan are in my opinion pretty much the best actors on the show. Wil does an impressive job as a slightly sinister, slightly insane, somewhat lovestruck person, and while he is not my first choice for Joey, I can see why Joey would be completely infatuated with him. Nuan is doing the boy next door routine in an admirable fashion - his heartache in the current scenes leave me tearing up watching him. And frankly Jules seems to get the best out of his co-stars in every scene. So the conversation between Wil and Nuan was an impressive scene (maybe slightly too long). They both did a good job of summing up the other - Wil's recognition that Nuan was Joey's best friend was probably the most telling part to me - that he was really worried that the connection that Joey and Nuan have would eventually push the two together leaving Wil on the outside. Joey - In the back of my mind since the beginning of the show, I have constantly wondered if Joey was actually asexual. He never seems comfortable when one of the Amores touch him and seems really clueless with all of the signals that the other guys are trying to give him.

The English subs for part 2 are now up. Some thoughts about this part - it seemed like more filler. Somehow, I think the magical pregnancy will come to its conclusion just in time to screw up Wil's holiday plans with Joey. Wil acts like he is about to marry Joey and I have no idea why he thought he needed to seemingly ask permission from Jimmy to court Joey (it was a weird scene with Jimmy being cast as Joey's father figure). Jimmy has a lot internalized homophobia - I am not sure I am going to enjoy his journey towards self-acceptance. The way Princess was watching Jimmy and Joey study made me think that she sees some potential for Joey and Jimmy to be boyfriends. After Nuan, Kenjii was the amore that I found most visually appealing (yes, I am shallow ), but they are definitely making it painful to watch his scenes. In this part, he had a conversation with Ms. Ortiz - that just reinforced what a dick he was to Joey.

I just watched the last part of 6 and the first part of 7 - what a mess. Things I liked - confident Nuan, especially when he had his hat on (he looked quite cute). The conversation between Professor Dela Cruz (though I swear when we met him in episode 1 he was just a graduate student teaching the English course and not a professor) and Kenji - someone needed to tell Kenji that he screwed up with kissing Joey, one of his staff. I also enjoyed Brenda and Jelay's discovery that their student assistantships would be spent in the Agriculture Department - their reactions were priceless, though they did end up surprisingly having the silver lining of working under the adorable Enzo (and while I am thoroughly against supervisors dating their employees/students, I might enjoy Enzo interacting with either Brenda and Jelay). I actually really enjoy the Pretty-Jimmy interactions even if Jimmy is a complete tool.
The mediocre - I still have no idea what makes Joey so special that all these men are chasing after him. Jimmy's reaction to Nuan was par for the course - I think it was supposed to come off as humorous, but really just made Jimmy look like a dick. Nuan sitting waiting for Jimmy to come home seemed really forced - and frankly I was a little bit worried that he was also losing his mind.
The bad - Brenda and Jelay made things a lot worse between Nuan and Wil. If they were really that uncomfortable with helping Nuan in the first place, then they shouldn't have offered. I still have no idea what the trigger for the fight at Nuan's home was - and was left really confused by Brenda and Jelay's reaction after the dust-up between Wil and Nuan. It seemed so bizarre, especially after the conversation that Nuan and Brenda had earlier in episode 6.
Last thought - the baby needs to be born very soon.

More whiplash in part 2 - Brenda and Jelay seemed to have found their missing brain cells, so they have reconciled with Nuan. Jimmy steps in it by telling Joey about Nuan waiting at the door (Pretty loses points to - for also not saying anything about Nuan to Joey), but does gain some points back in the end.
Kenjii - how can an affair stay secret, if you are going to tell every last co-worker about it? I am not sure what he did to get such undeserved hero worship from Enzo. And why hasn't he actually tried to talk to Joey about the kiss - if nothing else, Kenjii needs to talk to Joey before deciding that Joey is his true love.
Here's hoping the baby is coming - Joey running interference for Jimmy and Princess was fun as they tried to leave the apartment building.

Part 3 of episode 7 - Ugh! Thanks Joey, you have driven both Wil and Nuan insane. Waiting until now to have a talk with Nuan and giving him false hope for so long just made the wounds fester in Nuan. I don't see things looking bright for Joey-Wil either - Joey still seems really disinterested in Wil considering the discomfort with the hug and other intimacies.
Show - please bring back Madam Tusha - I still like her, though I am not sure I like anyone else.
Edited to add - Wil's leading questions about Kenjii were interesting. Maybe he was the person in the library spying on Kenjii's stolen kiss?? I still think someone was watching (I mean that is Soap 101 - someone is always spying or overhearing conversations, etc.).
