I have to say I really wasn't looking forward to more of the dog-napping storyline and clearly the director realized how silly a plot it was, so mercifully ended it (though he could have cut it a lot shorter). Though it was nice seeing Sky being a supportive boyfriend.
Benj is really handsome. Ace - you really shouldn't be holding another man's hands at lunch. What would Sky think if he saw that? Or worse yet, what might Moira do with that intel?
I really enjoyed the cake making scene - Ken and Jam being supportive was really nice and it looked like they were having a lot of fun. Sky and Ace being helped by their respective families while they dressed for the party was even better. The Clngr-Ed Mills song (Be Your Light) was a nice score for the set of scenes.
The party initially made me sad for Ace - as the only people attending were his employees, Miss Becky, Kim and a couple random people. Kim is pretty much the only friend there and while Miss Becky works for him, she is also family, whereas everyone else likely justified being there because they wanted to kiss up to the boss. Miko did a really good job portraying Sky's nervousness at taking the next step of declaring his feelings for Ace so publicly. The dance was beautifully choreographed - though Ace pretending he had no idea how to dance and then being great at it was eye-rolling. I have to admit I had trouble enjoying the last half of part 4 - I kept expecting Ace's father to storm in and treat his son and Sky terribly.
In the comments, Oxin films posted that a second season will be done.

This is Han Linn Naing, an actor/model from Myanmar who goes under the professional name of Hu Go. Oxin Films have just announced him as the first new cast member to join My Day 2. He will also be appearing in their other upcoming BL series "Rainbow Prince" which is apparently set "in a parallel universe with MyDayTheSeries so expect cameos with some of the MyDay cast especially."

So, after days of rumours flying around that Episode 11 was going to be a spicy one, Oxin have now confirmed that it has been given an R18 certificate.

Everything was great in this episode until the last part. I don't quite get Ace's decision to leave Sky - he yelled himself hoarse telling his parents that all he wanted was a family. Sky is his family - so I just don't see him giving that all up.
Sky's mother is still the most amazing character on the show.
Moira - you recorded two people without their consent, distributed the video, and hatched a plot that resulted in attempted murder. I am glad Celyn finally told you off - but both of you are adults and you should know better.
Ace worshiping Sky's chest was fantastic. I never quite expected that level of intimacy. Followed up by a rather daring hint of more of Sky shown during the shower.

Followed up by a rather daring hint of more of Sky shown during the shower. I thought their first bedroom scene was hot but this episode put them on another level. The passion alone that was shown on that couch was everything. Also Sky tying up Ace with a belt was the last thing I thought I would see and I'm glad I saw it. Glad Celyn told Moira off. It's like in an earlier episode where her conscience crept in momentarily when she brought the dog back to Ace's house. I don't like how Ace left Sky. If he loves him as much as he says he does then he shouldn't let a "scandal" split them up. But at the same time I understand leaving the ones you love to protect them even if it hurts. Overall this was a great episode and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.

The running time for tomorrow's finale has been confirmed as 1 hour, 17 mins. According to the gossip on the group chat this is the scene to look out for, but I have no idea why! And this little snippet for clarity: Q: "Finally we got the answer in Episode 11, Ace is bottom?"Direk Xion: "Actually, during that scene they switched position but they went wild during the shoot and I was afraid we’d be banned on YouTube so we opted to exclude it. They're versa."

You've reminded me that in the live chat they said season 2 of MD isn't expected to begin shooting until summer next year, and also not until the spin-off "Rainbow Prince" has been screened.

It was nice to have a longer episode for this last episode of the season. I had two major problems with this episode:
1. I would not be anywhere near as forgiving of Moira as Ace and Sky were - frankly she belongs in prison.
2. I don't think the college would have been that forgiving. My understanding from the beginning was that the internship at Ace of Cakes was part of Sky's grade. An intern having a relationship with a supervisor - even consensual, would still be viewed as a serious conflict of interest and would likely have resulted in either expulsion or having their internship invalidated.
Minor complaints:
The audience really needed to be larger for the graduation ceremony - it pretty much looked like Sky's friends and family were the only ones invited. Where were the families of the 20-odd other students? Miss Becky received an invitation, but where was Jam's family for example. I am probably just too old, but the speech seemed too much about Sky's very personal part of his life and less appropriate for a bunch of people in their 20's about to go out in to the world to find jobs.
Ace's mother's partner must be the strong silent type - Amanda never uttered a word. I had to laugh during the scene where Ace flees his house - poor Amanda acted more like a servant carrying his luggage (and don't tell me that Ace cannot afford nicer looking luggage) than a step-mother.
Ace and his dad - I don't think their reconciliation really worked (I am typing this 15 minutes after watching - and honestly cannot remember whether it was terrible or just mediocre). Maybe something they can explore in season 2.
Good things:
1. Sky's dad was the MVP for this episode - a very nice conversation between them where dad truly was a father in the best sense, unconditionally loving his son and so hurting for Sky. Ken's scenes with Sky were also nice.
2. the reconciliation between Sky and Ace was pretty good - Miko carried the scene.
3. Miko and Aki have incredible chemistry for the passionate scenes - There aren't very many other BL actors I can think of who did as well at making you belief that they actually are madly in love with each other. Miko was also really good paired with the guy at the bar (Niko) too - I almost wouldn't mind an alternate universe version where Sky is paired with Niko.

There was a bit of a twitter storm the other day when Aki Torres mentioned he would soon be appearing in a new BL without Miko as his lover. The show is called "My Toxic Lover" and is made by the same production company that made My Day.
Here's the teaser for it:

My Day (Season 2) has been canceled. Iñaki Torres has decided not to reprise his role as Ace due to behind the scenes issues with the production company.

The second teaser for Aki's new BL "My Toxic Lover" has been released. Even though it says it's the first, a previous one was released last December.

I had forgotten that My Toxic Lover was being filmed by a different company - I thought it had been cancelled to after the aftermass of Aki-Oxin Films fallout. Pepps is a different company right??

Oxin Films and Pepps are two different companies who formed a partnership to make a number of joint projects together.
The main issue that caused most of the recent fallout (according to Aki's video) is because Xion Lim, who owns Oxin Films has refused to pay out monies allegedly owed to Pepps in wages, royalties and advance costs. The reason for the delay in episode 11 - again according to Aki - wasn't due to Xion Lim's health as the official statement said at the time but was actually due to Lim refusing to release the episode for screening because of BTS disagreements over money.
The partnership between Pepps and Oxin has now been dissolved and they are acting as an independent production company. "My Toxic Lover" is their first major production.

It's going to be a while before the above series "My Story" will see the light of day. Not only has it not started filming, but the script hasn't even been written yet... and that's not all. They don't even have a basic storyline for which to write a script for. If you want to try your luck, Oxin Films have put out an open invitation looking for writers. All you need to do is contact them and pitch your ideas! No joke. Here's the application form!

Considering the problems with various Directors not keeping their hands to themselves and the suddenly truncated seasons - getting a writing credit is likely a risky business in the Pinoy BL realm

Miko Gallardo has signed up with director/producer Xion Lim to co-produce the new 'My Story' sequel. It also looks like his character Sky will now be back with a new boyfriend too. According to Oxin, this series will premiere before their other two BL productions 'Tie The Not' and 'Rainbow Prince' which does seem a little strange as Rainbow Prince was supposedly being scheduled to premiere at the start of the 4th quarter while My Story still (to my knowledge) doesn't have a script, storyline or writers yet. EDIT - Here's the new character posters:
