PJ didn't say that he was gay in his personal life in that quote. He said that he can relate to the character if Doug on other things, but being from NY, he doesn't find it odd to portray being gay.

"I'm from New York, so my being gay is not really an issue." I didn't know he was gay in real life! That wasn't the impression I got from past interviews. Maybe there is a missing word? Like my (character) being gay...

Wait hold on, the question is "Doug is struggling to get to grips with his sexuality - is that a problem you ever had?" And PJ answers with "Not really , because my sexuality has been concretely place in my brain! I'm from New York, so my being gay is not an issue" It seems to me he's saying he's gay, I don't think he's talking about the character since they asked him about himself and whether he ever had that issue, either way, it's not really anything I care about too much, he can like dinosaurs for all I care, as long as he keeps acting as good as he has been aha.

Kieorn and PJ look so cute together. They have chemistry and they make a brilliant couple. I'm a Stug fan believe it or not! ;D

PJ Brennan is just all kinds of adorable. And with that pretty piercing blue eyes. He is just plain cute. And the interaction and chemistry he has with Kieron is amazing. Stug all the way!

I love how PJ's acting has come a long way since he first arrived. He has strong chemistry in his scenes with people. And his eyes just drawl you in to what Doug is feeling. He tells a lot of emotions in Doug's eyes, another story than Doug might be saying at the moment and I love it.
I love the fact that he's not fazed by playing gay at all or having to kiss another guy. It always drives me crazy when the media focus on playing gay or kissing someone of the same sex. Why should that be important, why should that be focus on? He was mature and positive about it. How he called Kieron a good kisser and is respectful of the fact that Kieron has a partner.

New interview with Kieron Richardson www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/hollyoaks/interviews/a379915/hollyoaks-kieron-richardson-interview-dougs-feelings-shock-ste.htmlAll this talk about Brendan and Ste getting back together or not, to be honest, I hope they don't. Doug is probably a very good and may I say the right guy for Ste. I know trouble is inevitable esp when it comes to Brendan, but I still want Ste to end up with Doug. And the interesting is, the actors themselves have mentioned quite abit of info on the characters' future, but I am more willing to take it with face value as most of the time, it could be out of their own views and not the writers'.

Though I doubt they will ever be calm with each other. There is just so much that these two aren't saying. Which is why I love the "I love you" conversation because it was so raw, honest, and things were talked about.

Thanks for posting the new interview with Kieron, Harmonium. He touched on many of the same discussions we're currently talking about right now in regards to this storyline.

Well, it looks like a lot of people are taking the "my being gay" to mean that PJ Brennan is gay, it's even on wikipedia. I think it might be a bit rushed, the interview is not completely clear, imo Oh well, doesn't really matter I guess

He was referring to himself, unless he made a grammatical mistake (if it were hypothetical, he should have said, "My being gay wouldn't really be an issue")

I don't like the Stendan versus Stug fan war. It reminds me of the Nuke/Lure one. It was horrible!

I wonder what will become of Stug. I don't really like what Kieron has mentioned in the interview. Well, it seems like Kieron, PJ and/or Emmett can't really say anything without anyone finding an issue with it. It's their opinion and point of view. Nothing of what they think means it's set in stone that the storyline is going to happen in the way that they think. I thought it's a great piece, because I find it interesting to see how the actors involved in the storyline think and feel about what they're portraying. I might not agree with their pov (like how Emmett thinks that Stendan is a love story), but it's clearly his pov.
