I wonder If Alex not even showing up In the Episode was A telling sign The three aliens and Liz are the only characters who appear in all 13 episodes. I think Maria is missing from this week's episode. I don't think it's that big of a deal Kyle wasn't in the episode either. Isn't the actor who plays Alex on a couple of other shows as well. If this is the case he may have signed on (for the premiere season) as a reoccurring character and not as a regular. His status might change depending on whether or not the show gets picked up for a second season.

He has only done one episode guest star role on the Charmed reboot and when asked about on twitter the show runner said he wasn't leaving the show. I would think he has some kind of long-term contract I don't think they would build up Alex and Michael and let one of the actors leave the show.
Heather Hemmers who plays Marie is a regular on If Loving You Is Wrong and she is also listed as a regular so if he does another show it may not matter. Also Alex father is technically a regular thought he is missing from half the season's episodes.

I think Roswell NM has done a better job of portraying Michael's feelings for his male love interest as equally valid than his female love interest - in contrast to how Good Trouble has depicted its bisexual man, Gael, whose female love interest is much more prominent (being the series co-lead) whereas his male lover is a guest star for whom Gael doesn't display the same depth of feeling.
In fact, in Roswell we were shown how Michael fell for Alex as a teenager and his feelings haven't gone away after a decade, so I have every reason to believe they might be the OTP here.

I also don't think that Michael and Maria have as much chemistry as Michael and Alex. I think back to the original Roswell series and the crazy chemistry that Michael had with Maria, and that just isn't happening with them here. That is more what I feel when I see Michael and Alex. There is no way Michael feels for Maria the way he feels for Alex. If the show tries to go the other way, it just won't be believable and it would be a mistake. Also, what little I've seen of Maria, I actually think that it would be out of character for her to be with her friend's ex, now knowing about it. Unless she hears from Alex otherwise, I just don't see her going there.

Do You Think You Really Know Tyler Blackburn? www.advocate.com/television/2019/4/19/do-you-think-you-really-know-tyler-blackburn“Now we’re at a place where fluidity is spoken about in such a beautiful way that it doesn’t make me feel as pressured to have it figured out,” he says. “My goal above everything is to feel as happy as possible. As free as possible. I don’t just mean happy, like, ‘I’m laughing all day, every day.’ That’s actually insane. That’s impossible. What I mean is, I want to feel free.”

Glad Tyler finally came out. It's been an open secret for a while. I knew he was queer when he was cast as Alex, he never hid his relationship with Chandler.

Of course if the writers were following the standard soap opera love triangle tropes (alien version) just as Michael and Maria get together #malex would discover the result of their one night stand is that they're pregnant. Twins, of course... Michael and Alex borh expecting... 😄

I knew that Michael and Alex would not be together by the end of the season. This is the CW, they are the biggest popular pairing of the show, of course they're not going to make things too easy for them yet. (Because happy means boring apparently, even though we also get the cliche angst and suffering as well) Plus in all the interviews about Michael and about Malex, they always mentioned that Maria was out there in the distance. So I knew it wasn't going to end on a good note. Still not happy that Michael couldn't end things with Alex first and Maria throws aside a long term friendship for an infatuation without talking to Alex first. And the show had plenty of option of building this triangle better or Miluca better, but they never took advantage of those options.
CW is known for not treating their LGBT pairings well, though I'm starting to wonder since Malex has been intensely popular from day one might have the CW seeing ratings lure bait. And actually get behind Malex as a couple that has some staying power. (Honestly I think they have been the biggest thing from the show) I just hope they don't use Malex as a bait and switch and drop them cold turkey in favor of Miluca or another pairing. Though that would be unwise in this day and age with social media and people able to voice their outcry so easily.
CW is also known for their stupid love triangles that for the most part usually damage their shows more than they actually do them any good. Considering Miluca was barely there as a pairing before they were shoved into the deep end was done all wrong. I mean the character assassination they did to Maria is just so insulting to her character and her relationships with the other characters in the show.
I mean Miluca had potential and then the writers squander all of that so that they could do a hack job with this stupid triangle. Also the character assassination of Michael as well, making him look like a greedy bastard who messes around with people feelings and hearts. Which isn't the case at all and is also super insulting. I think one of the things that people are the most angry about is that is messes with a friendship that not just BFF, where Alex and Maria are family. And if they were gonna do that, they could have least made both pairings somewhat genuine with proper buildup and an organic feel. But like most of the CW pairings, one is more heavy handed than the other and even though I am more in favor of Malex. That kind of viewing get old watching that real fast.
And the way Carina acted and this being the CW, I don't see this thing going away anytime soon. So that means everyone is gonna be in limbo for a while.

Tyler is in the Dominican Republic shooting a movie.
So he can not make to the events
my take is Season 2 Alex out of the story like Maria was last year. they should do a mix, not one way

I don't know if this is spoilers are not since it's the shows released for the next season.
ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO
Once again, an Ortecho sister with a sharp tongue and a chip on her shoulder is back in Roswell after ten years gone… and she’s about to discover she’s been serving mint chip milkshakes to intergalactic aliens all her life. In the final moments of season one, Max Evans (Nathan Dean Parsons) used his alien powers to resurrect Rosa (Amber Midthunder) a decade after her murder... not realizing that he was sacrificing his own life in the process. In season two, Liz (Jeanine Mason) mourns her lost love by seeking comfort in science, both earthly and extraterrestrial, as Rosa turns to Kyle (Michael Trevino) to help her find her place in the unfamiliar territory of 2019. In their grief, Isobel (Lily Cowles) explores potentially dangerous methods of self-defense, and Michael (Michael Vlamis) spirals into some old bad habits, putting his relationships with Maria (Heather Hemmens) and Alex (Tyler Blackburn) at risk. Finally, our heroes must make a deal with Jesse Manes (Trevor St. John) for information after a friend seems to vanish into thin air... and the apparent “alien abduction” brings new small-town secrets to light.
There is speculation that Michael not dealing well with his trauma of everything that happened in season one such as finding his mother again, only for him to be killed in an explosion right before his eyes. To everything that happened with Noah and not to mention Max being "dead" and Michael not exactly the best at handling some emotions. Will be acting out a lot and getting into trouble next season, that he's basically a ticking time bomb ready to explode.
And that they think Alex is the one going to vanish since his character did in the books. I mean bringing Alex's father Jesse out of the medical coma that Kyle put him in over revenge for murdering Kyle's father Jim is to help find Alex I'm assuming. Jesse knows more about aliens than he has let on, considering how much he knew about the sibling trio when they thought they were so well hidden. And they might think that Jesse had a part in Alex's abduction of some sort secret corrupt military operation or maybe they think it's something alien.
I just hope if it is Alex, it's Alex mostly saving himself and not someone else rescuing him. Since Alex knows all about life and death considering all his time in the air force during war zones. And would know how to take care of himself.
Though I would be interested to see how Michael would react to Alex being taken and how he would behave in a pursuit to find Alex again. I would like to see Jesse and Michael playing off each other, egging each other on with insults over Michael being an alien and of course Alex. Considering Michael already unsteady emotional state over everything that happened, I see him attacking Jesse both with his powers and with the now healed hand that Jesse broke back when they were teens. And Michael letting his emotions cloud his mind, which I'm sure that Jesse will extort to try and work things in his favor. And that Michael will have to be sent away from Jesse by someone like Liz, or Isobel, or Kyle before Michael does something stupid when it comes to Jesse and their uses for him.
I wonder how many episodes are they getting for this new season. Mainly cause I didn't think they did the best with story telling or pacing when it came to last season. So I'm really wary, hopefully they learned from their mistakes.

Oh if it's 13 episodes than I really hope they learn from their mistakes and don't repeat the same ones or create all new ones. I know it's harder with 13 episodes, but it is possible. If it is Alex, I really hope they don't just have be gone and don't show his side of the story. That doesn't really work, people will be cheated and would feel disconnected from the characters and story.

I'm just really excited about Alex getting a new love interest. I hope the guy is a good normal guy who makes him happy and not some secret guy whose only going after Alex because of the whole alien secret.
That and Jamie Clayton guest starring next season as well.
