Thanks for the clip.
From what I am hearing, everyone is speculating on Yousef and Mikhal's connection with Even. Mikhal was the one from that video Isak watched last season, I believe. Also, Yousef's facebook profile was supposedly leaked a little while ago, and there was mention of Even on there. If Even was friends with the Balloon Squad (the fandom name for the Yousef's group), it would explain why he read the Quran in a past maniac episode. This would also set up a potential storyline for this season, regarding how Even and the Balloon Squad parted ways (This is assumed since it doesn't seem like Isak had met the Balloon Squad even after being with Even for months). Hopefully, this means more Evak.

The way they made that episode with Evak's dialog going as we see Sana connecting with Yousef on Facebook seemed like a clever way to throw the raving Evak fans a bone without diverting from the progression of Sana's story and not an indication that Isak and/or Even are going to be a big part of the story. It does seem like Mikael is going to have some significance, though. And he has a connection with Even, so perhaps Evak will be drawn in somehow.
Mikael and Yousef look awfully cozy cuddling together. And they lingered on that photo. Mikael is or was close to Even. Hmm... could they have been more than friends?

Actually this most recent clip with Isak and evan in, kissing, was great. Nice to see the gay couple are still passionate about each other.
And I really enjoyed the more or less perfect copy of the scene from last series with Isak sitting at his desk in the classroom stalking Evan on his laptop when Sana appears behind him and he slams his laptop shut- this time it's sana stalking her man of interest with her slamming her laptop shut.

Do not attack the religion of any board member. The characters may be fictional, but the religions depicted in the show are not. I don't care whether anyone has (or does not have) any particular religious belief, but it is incredibly disrespectful to others to talk about their religion in a derogatory manner. Attacking the religious beliefs of the fictional characters can also be an attack on real people.
Discussions surrounding religion can be contentious, and this is not the forum to have those discussions (except as it relates directly to the events of the story).
It's okay to discuss the events of the story and be respectful about it. Whether it crosses into disrespectful territory depends on the tone and content. If you're ever unsure, it may be best to not post a questionable comment.
Any future posts that are so disrespectful of other members will not be tolerated, and will result in a ban without further warning. Please send me a PM if you have any questions.

I completely agree that it is a bone for the Evak fans. However, we have to keep in mind that we don't have many natural connections between Sana and Isak, in comparison to the other previous main characters, who are friends with Sana. As such, I'm okay with a bit here or there as long as it doesn't detract from Sana's story
It does seem like the writers are trying to make a connection between the Balloon Squad and Even. In the latest video they posted about them (shown above from 3:08), they explicitly mentioned Even and started to talk about him before being cut off. It is clear now that the entire Balloon Squad knew Even and that Mikhael and Even's friendship did not end well considering the emoji used. Considering the multiple connections the writers haven drawn between the Balloon Squad and Even, it is highly likely how the friendship ended would be a plot point somehow this season, as there would be no need to make so many explicit connections otherwise.

Latest clip
Considering the size of the bus and the need to raise the amount of money, do you guys think they will rope in the rest of the cast? It would be a good way to end the series and it would allow all old characters to be brought back.

Hmm, Even is certainly anxious about what Mikael might say to Sana that could get back to Isak.
I'm glad they are keeping the boys in the story. I was starting to worry it would be all about a love triangle between Sana, Noura and Yousef.

There was also a SMS exchange between Isak and Sana a few days ago where he was asking her about how she knows Mikael: http://instagram.com/p/BTO9unDhzNr So they are certainly seeding a side storyline about Even and his past with the Balloon Squad

Interesting. Even was kind of sketchy asking Sana about the other guys. Hmm. I'm glad that Isak & Even are still around this season, and still happily together. Even if it's a supporting role.

Sounds like Isak and Even are going to get gay bashed by a gang of Muslim youth. That's exactly the scenario of the incident in the Netherlands a few weeks ago. Makes sense that SKAM would confront homophobia in the Muslim community.
Perhaps Sana will be a witness to what happens and will have to choose between being loyal to her brother and fellow Muslims (including Yousef) and doing the right thing and helping Isak and Even.

Can you please stop spreading misinformation to pursue your islamophobic agenda? There was no such thing as a gaybashing by a gang of Muslim youth in The Netherlands. The incident you refer to was a fight, where homophobia might have played a role, though accounts about that differ. What is known and confirmed is that the other side used xenophobic language. And quite frankly, if it turns out to have been a fight between homophobes and racists, I can't really care for either side. Also: most anti-gay-violence in The Netherlands is committed by white people. If there's one common characteristic of perpretators of anti-gay-violence it is that they are male.

Now, now, luca don't tell porkies. I have just done a google search to investigate the "no such thing as a gaybashing" gaybashing and according to the news reports I can find there was indeed a gay bashing. Now please stop coming onto sites like this and spreading misinformation to spread your politically correct, let's-not-offend-anyone, all-is-rosy-in-the-garden, agenda. All is not rosy. From what I can gather, again from google searches, and after weeding out the obvious right wing loony reports, there is a high incidence of anti gay attacks carried out by non-native dutch in holland.
Do you have some evidence:
1) that Hawthorne above is pursuing an islamophobic agenda?
2) that the gaybashing (that you deny was a gaybashing) was a fight? (And homophobic abuse hurled at a gay couple which is then replied to in kind, which then leads to five teenagers attacking two gay men is not a fight- its a queer bashing plain and simple).
I get so tired of criticism of islamic homophobia being dismissed as racism. Gays and lesbians are suffering homophobic attacks by muslims and to be told we are not is like in Orwell's "1984" where Winston Smith is being tortured by O'Brien and he is told to see five fingers and not four. Your attitude, luca, is that we aren't really suffering from gay bashing by muslims, according to you what's really happening is just nasty racist gays misreporting.
I worry that the long term consequence of this doublethink, this deliberate obfuscation, is that people like you are spinning us around and around until we are totally dizzy and confused, until finally we don't understand where the actual oppression is coming from and we end up screaming terms like 'racist' at one other instead of dealing with the actual oppression.
What is Doublethink? Doublethink is the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs as correct, often in distinct social contexts. Doublethink is related to, but differs from, hypocrisy and neutrality. Also related is cognitive dissonance, in which contradictory beliefs cause conflict in one's mind.

So we've learned that Yousef does not believe in Allah, although apparently he was raised Muslim. That might mean, among other things, that he's not hostile to homosexuality - which could play a role if/when Isak and Even interact with the balloon squad. If the squad does have a hostile reaction to Evak, maybe Yousef doesn't participate and this impresses Sana. I think Sana is going to be pulled in different directions in regards to Yousef, his disbelief, and her religion.

There is simply no factual basis to frame the incident referred to as a 'gay bashing by a gang of muslim youth': - there is nothing known about the religious background of the people involved; - there are differing accounts of what actually happened, including who started the fight (http://nltimes.nl/2017/04/04/suspect-gay-couples-assault-denies-throwing-first-punch) - according to the lawyer the group of suspects (5 boys aged 14 to 16; the 20-year old one initially arrested has been cleared of charges and wasn't part of the group) was of diverse backgrounds: ""There was a boy with blond hair and blue eyes, someone with a Moroccan and someone with a Turkish background." (http://nltimes.nl/2017/04/04/suspect-gay-couples-assault-denies-throwing-first-punch) - in their last public comment the prosecutor's office said they were still investigating and couldn't say what the reason for the incident was (http://www.nu.nl/binnenland/4596567/verdachte-geweld-homos-arnhem-vrijgelaten.html) - the police also isn't that sure about it anymore: "Thursday the five suspects in Arnhem are released. The police argues that the reading of an incident may change. The fact that a victim's statement has been brought out without hearing the suspects happens more often. "This may be necessary if there is a lot of social unrest around an incident."" (https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2017/04/08/vechtpartij-in-arnhem-legt-vooral-vooroordelen-bloot-8011387-a1553812) - what is confirmed, by one person of the gay couple himself, is the use of xenophobic language: "Among other things, I said something like: "Go back to your own country." (https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2017/04/03/jap-jap-ze-hebben-al-mijn-voortanden-eruit-geslagen-7874169-a1553089)
So, hardly anything can be said for sure about this incident. Homophobia could have played a part in it, but there's no evidence for that as of now.
About a research paper issued by the Dutch police in 2014: "Especially young indigenous men act aggressively towards gays and lesbians. This is evidenced by the National Police's 'Antihomoge in the Netherlands' report." (http://www.ad.nl/binnenland/homogeweld-vooral-door-blanke-man~aba8c893/) This was later somewhat nuanced by a fact check in another news paper (https://www.nrc.nl/nieuws/2014/01/31/geweld-tegen-homo-vooral-door-blanke-man-dus-d-1341346-a39713): "The fact that anti-homosexuality is primarily committed by white men is in absolute terms (they are the largest group), but in relative terms, not: natives constitute 79 percent of the Dutch population and only 61 percent of the suspects of anti-homosexuality. [...] If you sell the Moroccans share among the suspects against the percentage of Moroccans among the population, they are still overrepresented in the group of suspects of anti-homosexuality." Of course this is problematic, though the research didn't account for other possible factors than national background of the perpetrators of anti-gay violence, but you can't say that most of this violence comes from non-native people. As I stated the one common characteristic of most anti-gay violence is that the perpetrators are (young) males, and most research points to things like machismo and 'proving your masculinity' as reasons for the violent acts.

I personally don't think the show will head in the direction of a gay bashing as it would take the focus away from Sana too much. Remember, this is her season. If they do go in that direction, we won't see the fight unless it happens in front of Sana. Most likely, the show will have Sana hear about the fight after it went down. And afterwards, the viewers won't get any updates except a short acknowledgement of Isak or Even's recovery as an aside in the main conversation. I just can't see a good way to do a gay bashing storyline while keeping the main focus on Sana, so that is why I don't think they will head in that direction.

So we finally have an explanation about why the Balloon Squad is no longer friends with Even. Also, the reason for Even's last maniac episode.
So Even is the reason that Yousef is no longer religious, which is the main conflict for Sana right now. Considering the impact that Even had on Yousef, I really don't see there being a gay bashing on Even from the Balloon squad, unless it is just Mikhael.

Sorry, but I don't like this recent development at all. It's just SO clichéd and stupid that the Muslim guys are homophobic. I am indredibly disappointed and frustrated with this. Also.. it's kinda hard to believe that Mikael can be homophobic when he literally looks like a puppy. It makes no sense whatsoever.

I thought those were very sweet, beautiful scenes. Yousef doesn't need prayers to remind him to be a good person. Sana needs prayers to stay grounded. I think they can work out those differences. I liked seeing a deep connection develop between them. I wonder if Yousef would have kissed Sana if her mother hadn't crashed their moment.
I think the different (in general) attitudes towards homosexuality between Muslim culture and progressive Western societies is a worthy area to explore. It's one thing that keeps the two societies apart. Since by far the biggest stars of SKAM are gay, it makes sense for this to be part of Sana's story. It explores an important contemporary issue and allows Evak to be in the story line.
There probably will be an altercation between the balloon squad and Evak. That will bring things to a head and Sana may have to decide if she is ready to publicly stand up for gay rights. Her family and much of her community wouldn't be pleased, but Yousef would like it. That she can do that do while remaining a devout Muslim would be a powerful statement, IMO.

Yeah, I agree. I didn't have a problem with the scenes at all. I haven't been paying too close attention this season; I wonder if Mikhael knows that Even is dating Isak now. After what Yousef described happened between them (and the fallout for Even), that could be an interesting part of the drama. I guess we'll see. I got the feeling that Yousef wanted to kiss her, but was holding back.
