My guess is because he fell in love with Christian and realized that a woman has never made him feel that way that he does. When they were apart, he kept looking for that same feeling. I kind of agree with the theory, that Christian was with women because other than Olli he knew nothing else. As he told Andi, he can't imagine his life after Olli. It's not like he was truly fulfilled by these women, they were just filling a void. I wouldn't have a problem with that, but why not just have a scene where Christian says that out loud and Olli hears it. I mean, this is a soap opera. They constantly spell out everybody's motivation in detail. So why not have an cool and interesting scene about this? I'm sure the VL viewers would survive an explanation like this. There are way too many things that VL glosses over so to expecting them to address this is futile. They have pointed out that Chris wants to grow old with Olli and that Olli isn't happy without Christian. That's all they feel we need to know.

just a few scenes with Olli today the way how this show makes Jessica alternately innocent and guilty of the Chrolli break up becomes ridiculous yeah, and the "engagement ring-talk" in the NL with Charlie,Andi and Olli was quite interesting ;D

Would anyone care to elaborate on what went on during the Andi/Jessica/Daniel scenes? I thought that Daniel knew about the 3some, but it seemed that Andi was just telling him after he found out about Daniel sleeping with Jessica.

That's the biggest frustrating thing for me concerning how Chrissie is written. He never gets the chance to be a true romantic verbally with Olli like the other men do with their partners. I don't understand why the writers have a problem with him saying something at least once. I know he's something of an introvert, but everyone has a moment when they tell their loved one exactly how they feel with words.

Thanks for the caps and video ladies. Charlie was desperate to get that statue. I agree with her though. She's been the match maker for Olli, maybe Olli should return the favor and find a nice guy for her. No 18 y/o please.
The talk about Christian and the ring was funny. I hope he doesn't look for it. That would be gross, especially given the menu.
MM, also thanks for the info in the descriptions section. So not only did Andi tell Daniel about Jessica coming between Chrolli, but also her accusing him of rape. I'm glad Daniel also doesn't understand how they can stand having her around, because I sure don't.

I found Charlie getting annoyed by Andi's drumming funny. And I liked the whole auction scene, kinda entertaining. Thank you MM for vid and translations.

I did too. Never noticed him drumming before. Seemed more of a nevous habit, then bored.

Dewah Semara - the statue? That sounds not a little, but completely, wrong. It's a statue of Ganesh, the Hindu diety associated as the remover of obstacles. Not love. I wish I could find more words to express my interest in the episode, but it was blah. Regardless, there was Olli to oogle at, so... Thanks Joanna and MercuryMay, for your constant and unflinching volunteer efforts in bringing us Chrolli, day in and day out.

Soaps are all about talking, so talk, dammit! I would cut Christian a little slack in that I think there are at least two times that he's expressed himself extremely eloquently -- the "I'll go to gay pride with you when we're ninety" speech, and of course his wedding vows, which I thought were perfection, even better than Olli's. These instances make it even harder to understand why he can't say something similar now. I'll wait and see, but I have to agree with twatts that it probably won't happen.

I simply meant that there would probably be no talk at all. Unfortunately. I love them both and I also find things to criticize in how both are written. Just because I agree with posters who also dislike how that part of the story is written, doesn't mean I think Olli is written perfectly either.

I've been thinking about this "talking" issue and that first night at the hospital keeps coming to my mind. They didn't say a word, except Christian still calling Olli his husband, and then it was all images of them looking lovingly at each other, of them re-connecting, showing all their love and tenderness. They seemed to have "talked" about the most important things, during that night. Of course, for us, as viewers who have had to endure months of inconsistent writing and character destruction, it may not be enough. We would like to see them discuss what went wrong and why they did some things. However, I actually think this time the characters are acting in character, so to speak. They were never really very good at discussing things. In my opinion, they won't talk about the threesome or Christian being with women or Olli rejecting Christian or his disregard for Christian's opinions... They will probably tackle one issue at a time, as the situations will present themselves, but I think they won't elaborate too much on things. To be honest, I don't really mind that very much, as long as I can see they are trying to evolve and work on their relationship. I mean, if they don't act as if nothing happened and show they are aware of the fact that they almost lost each other forever and they are willing to do everything in their power to prevent making the same mistakes. As for expressing their feelings, we all know the guys. Olli will always be the one to organize romantic situations and make huge love declarations, whereas Christian will always be the one to look at Olli as if he's the 8th wonder and express all his strong feelings in a very short statement, like " the same" or "I'd marry you again and again because you're the love of my life, too.". And Olli seems to be happy with that, because he had Rafa, who did all those great things for him, and he totally forgot about him the minute he thought Christian might be in danger. Andi was right, for once, when he said that Rafa was another "pompous drama queen" (like Olli ;D) and that the two of them together wouldn't last a week. Olli needs his opposite. We all know how opposites attract.

Wonderful post, bel. I agree with all of it. (And if I had tried to say those same things it would've taken me three times as long! ;D ) I especially like the part about Christian looking at Olli like he's the 8th wonder and expressing his feelings in short statements; it's so true. The way Christian looks at Olli is something to behold, and while he maybe doesn't talk about his feelings all that often when he does he usually comes up with a gem like the one during the proposal.

My mind goes back to the cloud-gazing scene at the height of the Rob drama. Olli organizes this grand brunch complete with champaign, blankets and water bottles and he is waffling on about the beauty of the day, while Christian just stares at him as if to say, "Yeah, but not as beautiful as you."

Maybe Olli is acting like me; he must do things to show how much he loves Christian because he's afraid that his love is not visible. Please, don't get me wrong, he's not a compensation or a way to pay for him; Olli is glad to do that because in his mind he must do more, nothing is sufficent for his loved Christian.
