Sorry, but I need to make a last minute return to Dec 13th re-proposal episode... You see, after having re-watched the Dec 13 episode back and forth *with MM’s subs*I made a 180 degree turnaround from negative to positive.
The shock from the difference the subs made for this particular episode hasn’t worn off yet. (I mean, I understand SOME German but most film clip nuances passed me by this time.) To get my head around this weird gap between subs or no subs, I had to break the clip down for myself to see what I missed without the English subs. For list of scenes, see further below.
My second reason for posting is that I feel bad and pretty dorky about all this - being clueless about who might read this board besides members, for example.
Therefore I'd like to apologize if hurt someone's feeling with that harsh post originally posted in (the bitter thread). Hopefully, not many read it and I've deleted now anyhow.
(Time indicators below refer to
MM's Dec 13 clip.)

Like many have already commented on; Christian replying "... 'some' is good.... I wanted to grow old with Olli", breaks my heart as well.
1:51
Olli saying to Charlie that she was right all the time about him and Christian belonging together.
2:07
Olli: "I almost lost him. If he hadn't made it, I don't know how I would've been able to live with that."
I believe this line reveals Olli’s mindset when leaving the boxing hall thinking Christian had died... beating himself up for that (and who knows maybe also for supporting/pushing Chris about sport collage, way back).
03:07
Olli and Charlie re-watching the marriage video: The song "Ill Be There" is so beautiful here it almost hurts! (I thought so already the very first time ever I watched the marriage clips on youtube, a month ago or so.)
03:30-
About Jessica.
Her being around cracking jokes about their wedding and the threesome disaster doesn't even bother me half as much this time, partly thanks to Ollli's comment: "Mine and Christian's crisis really was more deep-seated. It wasn't only Jessica's fault.", but also because I’ve just decided to accept her presence as any plot device. Neither her shenanigans nor whatever symbolism that darned black swan has will change the fact that Christian & Olli want to grow old together, and this time it really is for better or for worse (considering Dec 16th heartbreaking and beautiful convo). As weird as the flat-share room dividing may seem, no character should be any threat to Chrolli’s love
and upcoming re-marriage
.

The re-proposal at Schneider's:
The first time I watched this idea unfold without subs, it all seemed silly – simply because I hadn’t picked up a few serious clues in the convo Olli has with Charlie beforehand.
(Ehmmm…oops. Yup, I said I feel dorky.)
Watching it all with subs made all the difference – again. Olli coming up with the re-proposal idea suddenly seemed like something reasonably to do (in soap terms I mean
) – a totally sweet thing to cheer Chris up with at this point. (And, like Olli said during dinner, it was totally in his own interest as well.)
04:33
Christian very bored in hospital bed throwing cartoon page balls in the trash can… loved it when he closes his eyes and aims, and Daniel comes in to check on him before "a very exciting test... the highlight of your day"… I'm all smiles now when I GET all the nuances in this scene!
For example, Christian suddenly all serious, "Are you making fun of me?"
Daniel taking responsibility for taking Chris outside the hospital... he couldn’t get better walking company to Schneider’s...or?
Christian: "So I won't get lost?"
Daniel: "Yes, something like that..." ;-)
Oh how sweet and romantic Olli (plus Charlie, Daniel and the waiter at Schneider’s) arranged to trick Christian to go there for that delicious meal! (And, um, Olli diving onto the floor was just crazy cute this time around…cute and hot!
)
05:50
All the dialogue nuances at Schneider's, from the second Christian and Daniel comes in – just loved it!
There's just ONE thing left I can't understand with the re-proposal scene: The blurring of their tender kiss at Schneider's. Maybe it’s just a trick to leave them "alone" in the scene a few seconds before cutting to the next frame. But what’s the point of that? Or, maybe it was just another general tease.. reminding me of a few other kisses in Chrolli clips that haven’t been all visible – but audible.

This must be when he swallows the ring, haha... he suddenly needs to chunk the dessert down with some water... and Olli's look of disbelief in 09:23 is priceless!
"Did he....?! No he didn't....!" And Christian is like, "Oh... I thought it was a cherry stone"... Omg I can't believe I didn't enjoy this the first time around! Good lord it is lovely and sweet! And Olli gets that look again just before cracking up.
The re-proposal:
Oh my, the looks between them during the re-proposal...! How could I miss this – they should melt even a heart of stone, even if I did find Olli's comment seems a bit strange at first. But having chewed on it a while, my theory is that maybe he put it that way because of some guilt over the fact that he actually gave up on Christian after long last. (I base this on Olli's beating himself up after he thought Christian had died plus that it took Christian's almost dying to tear down that wall of anger and hurt feelings.)
Christian: "[marry you]...again?!
" just to get serious the next second saying "I'd marry you again and again, Olli. "
Too cute!
