!!!!!!!!!! I don't know about you guys, but when Christian beat the hell out of the other guy within an inch of his life , all the while shouting "I LOVE OLLIIIIIII"... a wet spot was spontaneously created in my panties. ;D ;D ;D Oh VL, you are so cheesy, but sometimes you do it so well! <3 Him beating Steffen up was epic, his insults realy got my blood pumping. Then, when he collapsed and Olli kneeled over him and Christian just bulged out his eyes creepily and said "Olli"... that was a total LOL moment. Rafa was borderline pathetic today, too. Olli keeps saying to him every two episodes that he's not ready for something serious, and Rafa is all "buy a house for me and I'll stay by your side and cook for you forever!" It's like proposing to someone on your first date. But I guess Rafa is a plot device and he has to act accordingly. I don't want to be a killjoy, and I really did enjoy this episode very much, but I was a little uncomfortable about this, and here's why: In the original story, Christian and Olli won a moral victory because, under Olivia's prodding, Christian put down the baseball bat and gave an impassioned speech instead; Axel got arrested, not violently beaten. It's a boxing match, beating the other guy is what you're supposed to do. Attacking someone in the street with a baseball bat = illegal and criminal Beating a boxer who's been training for the whole 3 years you've abandoned the sport --in a boxing ring! = legal and tough luck for the other guy Not to mention, Christian's beautiful blue eyes... and all the rest of the package. I guess Olli doesn't like cavities, either. ;D Oh, I inform you Olli likes cavities very much so, just not the ones on Rafa. See, I kind of understand Rafael and his distraction-pasta . I mean all they have between them is nice food and sex so Rafael has to use either/or because he has nothing else. I don't think he thinks pasta's going to magically fix anything but he naively believes that if he keeps letting Oli use him as a distraction then it'll eventually lead to something more. Plus I'm english and our solution to most things is a cup of tea so I understand where Rafael was coming from with that idea... Rafa's big failure is that, while spanish food is one of the best in the world and one could EASILY win over Olli's (or my) heart with it, he's picking the icky seafood plates to use on Olli rather then the wonderful spanish meat products, like chorizo, hamon iberico and the various other salamis. But could we expect any better in the food factor by a spaniard that can barely speak spanish?

I loved that episode, from what i've seen so far of the recent episodes (not much cause i dont like them fighting), Olli needs a huge reality check and today and monday's will give him just that. Olli & Christian both bring different things to the relationship, but Ollie was always stronger and the foundation of it, Ollie unravels then Christian cant find footing back. And it was frustrating to see Ollie hurting so much but feeling like the only way to solve things was to hurt Christian. You cant claim to want to sort things out or for someone to trust you, if you are kissing them or having them run around near naked (Rob) and still claim your relationship is important if your not respecting or considering your partner and running around playing with Raf is doing the same thing. Christian wants the best of Ollie and instead of fighting he seems to want the best of Ollie and if its moving on. So Ollie flaunts it more hoping Christian will stand up. He forgets what Christian is about. But i digress, would of been great if Ollie got there a few minutes earlier and heard all that Christian had said, but i felt Christians frustration in every hit and I think Daniel felt it big time from the sidelines. Awesome episode. I hate to say it but i am looking forward to Ollie's pain on Monday, he needs to snap back and sadly its going to take a real shock to get him back to reality.

OK, fess up people! Who planned their day around this episode? I got up an hour early so I could re-watch a few times. I ended up re-watching the entire video once and the ending (starting from Christian's declaration of love) about 10 times and then read all 300+ comments on MM's YouTube page. What a great way to start the day! May and Joanna, you have made my Friday spectacular so far! I hope your weekend goes swimmingly as well!

@ Gigi Okay i confess i was waiting the night before for the episode to be posted but didnt until my morning, I watched poor christian walk out the bar a few times, and Ollie finding out what Christian was up to over and over again, but the boxing against Steffan.
Omg i watched that so many times over and really got in with the feelings as well. The boxing scenes and Christian getting really angry were awesome.
I planned my day today for the next part, forgetting it wasnt till monday............lol

But Christian jumped up and started beating on him before the ref had even restarted the match -- at least that was my impression. Daniel hadn't even put Christian's helmet back on. Christian wasn't "boxing" at that moment; I doubt he would have cared if the gloves had been off either. Boxing is controlled violence (if violence can ever really be controlled) -- compare his previous, friendly match. This was uncontrolled violence, and his feelings here were no different from, and perhaps even stronger than, the feelings he displayed confronting Axel in the street.

If there was a problem the ref would have been trying to pull Christian away, but he wasn't. Yes he was out of controll, but Steffan had his hands up and was ready for him to come.

I don't want to argue this point to death. I enjoy angry Christian as much as the next Christian fan. I love that he's such a stew of contradictory qualities, that he's so close to the edge sometimes. It's what makes him so much fun to watch. I guess my issue is more with the writers and what they are trying to say by returning to the boxing/gay bashing issue again. I should have learned by now, I guess. As I noted above, it's just a tool to make Christian express his feelings and then collapse -- nothing more. And despite my reservations, I, too, have rewatched that ending several times. Those boys hold on my heart is a lot stronger than the bothersome writing issues' hold on my brain.

Your right about Christians anger issues, but you go back to the first 20 or so parts of Christian, that's his coping mechanism. He gets angry and defensive and pushes things away or attacks when they hit home.
Ollie knocked alot of that out right at the beginning during the coming out and ensuring Christians trust, but we all have things buried underneath. Ollie getting beaten up made it resurface big time, them nearly breaking up over Rob, got Christian thinking about Axel again and got him really angry, and finally the boxing match.
In part is was probably about what they did to Ollie, the fact that they bashed someone weaker, and someone gay, and some some small part would be Christians guilt that at some point before he came out he was capable of thinking like them (didn't, but was implied a few times in what Christian said).

WOOT.....first post and G'day from australia all........ I found these guys last weekend and watched almost every episode, well almost - I stopped before they got to the cheating, seperating and divorce, prefer happy endings. Worked out well really since now they are starting to sort things out..... Love the chemistry with these two, when Scott Evans and Brett Claywell from another soap were being interviewed they said it was about being in the moment and omg do Olli and Christian have it in spades. Its the eye contact, the gentle touching, the glances even if your not centre stage in that scene, its breathtaking to watch...... Waiting for the youtube links are a killer, but I agree a huge thank you for those that go to all the trouble of uploading and making all them available to watch, otherwise i wouldnt be here......awesome job. Now the agony of the wait till next week to see what ive been waiting on..... First of all welcome ;D I know exactly what you mean when you talk about the chemistry. After 4 years Thore and Jo never cease to amaze me when they are on screen together. Chrolli rocks! ;D Thank you so much Mercury for the video and Joanna for your incredible caps!

Thank you for the welcomes, its an awesome show, i know really really basic german but not much else but at least this show's subtitles helping me learn some more........lol
Yeah it was actually in the US version of QAF i first spotted the chemistry with characters, great acting isn't just saying lines, its in looks, glances, touches, gazing, longing, even if those scenes arent about you and your part of the background.
Example; even thou they are helping Judith with her love life, Ollie still strokes the back of Christians neck, or talking to Rob and Christians there his thumb rubs his arm very thoughtfully.........awww im just a hopeless romantic........but these guys have it hands down..they are just so amazing to watch.....

Well I think we can agree that Chris and Ollie stilllove each other (lets face it, I doubt they ever stopped). Judging from some preview pictures it looks like it could be reconciliation on the cards, and hopefully Rafael might just get the hint. There is still something dodgey about him co's in one of the previous episodes he seemed to be attempting to make Ollie leave Dusseldorf, though not before he delighted in how much could be made from the flat sale. Until he leaves I think it's best first to watch this space first to see what he gets up to.

No spoilery/preview talk in here, please, folks. I always make that clear at the start of every episode thread. Thanks.

I dont know how Christian and Olli could ever stop loving each other given how much they've been together. They're soulmates, plain and simple, and I love them so much. Thank you to Joanna and MM and whoever else for everything you do, you have no idea how much I (and I'm sure everyone else here) appreciates it

@ Chrolli I dont know they would ever stop loving each other, but i guess we see it in real life all the time, and would think they would write that into the scripts, when you seperate or divorce, sometimes the pain is still there, pride and resentment.
As humans were suppose to be big about break ups but were not, so you try to hurt and punish the other to make them feel what you do, it maybe wrong and illogical but sometimes we tend to do that.
Thats what alot of the fighting i think has been about and even Raf being around, its rubbing that pain in, instead of saying what you did really hurt because i love you so damn much......and even moreso I'm scared cause the moment i let go of that, is the moment i say that you may be able to do that to me again.......
Monday's is going to be a great episode......

I have said it many times, but it warrants repeating. We are blessed to have this relationship and these performances to admire these years; although I would have loved to have bypassed the past 8 months. Thore and Jo have done more to cause understanding and appreciation of same sex relationships than anything I, as a straight man, have ever witnessed. If more of the less tolerant of our societies could see this love story, there would be much less fear and anxiety over it and a great deal more understanding. This is certainly not the intent of the writers or the actors, necessarily, but it has definitely been an important by product. Here is hoping we have more of it to come. Thanks May and Joanna, once again
