I hope this is alright to start, I didn't see anywhere else to ask. And I'm not 100% sure the character will be gay.
Is anyone watching Aurora? It's this telenovela with a sci-fi twist on Telemundo. It's main story is about the only daughter of a genius doctor who specializes in Cryogenitics. She is in love with this guy and learns she's pregnant and the father seperates them. She apparently was sick and after she has her daughter the doctor freezes her in secret. That's why she's the Princesa de Hielo or Ice Princess.
It's actually in the opening song. Time goes by and 20 years later he unfreezes her and she's fine. Expect the guy moved on,married someone else and had kids. One is a son who ends up working at the doctor's clinic and falls in love with Aurora. I didn't watch it regularly and am just getting caught up.
Anyway Aurora's father is a genius and kind of a bastard. He doesn't care about anyone but his daughter and pretty much just uses people. He's sleeping with one of the female doctors on his team,but it's just because he needs her help and she pretty much knows all his secrets. There is another younger doctor on the team, Dr. Williams who is setting of my gaydar. He seems to idolize the doctor, and wants to help him in any way. Which annoys the female doctor, Elizabeth I think is her name. It seems to me Dr. Williams is crushing on Aurora's father. Then in today's ep he went to Dr. William's apt. for help with a problem and he answered the door in just his boxers. Hot, btw. He had the doctor come in while he went to change and it seemed to make the doc uncomfortable. Liking what he saw perhaps? I could be wrong but it if I am it was a strange moment to put in the ep.
So like I said I could be wrong, but Telemundo has been pretty good lately at having gay storylines and showcasing gay characters. Also Aurora's dad is a good looking older man,and it would be and interesting storyline.
