Hi everyone!!!
I want to ask you all a question.
Do you feel like society in general terms has stopped seeing gay people different or is it still nowadays necessary a change in the point of view of sociaty...?
I really feel like a great change has been made... but I'm not gay.. so maybe i don't really get what a gay man/woman can still feel in this society...
Well, have a good start of week...
love!
(sorry about my English!!)

I hope you aren't looking for a short answer; a proper response to your question could fill a book . I don't have time for a decent answer right now, so I will only make a couple of comments. Various societies have made great progress, but there is still a long way to go. There are parts of the world where you can be killed (legally) for being gay, so I won't include those. Instead, consider the most "progressive" societies. To put it bluntly, general society still has problems with homosexuality. Individuals can be okay, but groups can have problems. There are some subtle, and some not-so-subtle differences in how the kinds of relationships are treated. Sometimes you have to have thought the issues through thoroughly in order to even notice the differences. It's amazing the number of implicit assumptions people make. The progress that has been made is because of the efforts of people to push the issues into the forefront of society's thoughts. Things will continue to change through the efforts of more people to do the same, but it may take generations before it is no longer necessary (as is always the case with significant social changes). And this only covers the societal complications of homosexuality. There are significant legal hurdles in some countries that also need to be overcome (consider the Defense of Marriage Act here in the U.S. which President Clinton signed into law more than a decade ago). I think that, unless there are significant setbacks (I don't know why there would be), we will get there ... eventually.

Thanks for asking the question alazne; no need at all to apologise for your English. And I agree with you Zathras. Looking forward to your expanded answer... I will post a few comments as soon as RL stops getting in the way . JF
