Warning: this post contains mature subject matter. Not meant to be prurient, it's actually a policy question about Youtube. So, I was thinking about making my own little contribution, and filling a gap by making a more comprehensive set of Shameless clips. Then, just watching the pilot I realized how difficult that would be, with the full-frontal scene of Ian peeking at his sleeping neighbor. So, what exactly is Youtube's policy re: how far you can go? I feel almost certain the on-screen penis would be right out. Breasts? Butts? What about scenes that feel graphic because you can see the hand flying up and down, or the head bobbing, but no actual "naughty" flesh showing? I've chopped up clips before, but I would imagine blurring stuff out is a much trickier editing feat, so this content question may kill the project right off the bat. Also, what happens if I guess wrong and put up a video they don't approve of? Do they just quietly take the video down, or do I get in trouble? Finally, how much work am I letting myself in for? As I said, I've edited clips before, mostly back in the days when I had to burn movies onto CDs, before I got my DVD burner, but obviously getting them Youtube-ready is going to involve more work. Assuming I'm not particularly experienced, but good at figuring things like editing out, will I get the hang of it quickly, or is there a world of frustration I'm blithely smacking right into?

Youtube does allow full frontal but it gets age blocked for those under 18 (atleast this is what was on there as of a few months ago).
