Well, if I get a job before Xmas (which would guarantee that I will have the money needed till March), I'll be able to register. I have a friend who lives in NYC and she's been begging me to visit her, so all I practically need is the VIP pass money and of course the plane ticket money. I doubt I'll make it, but at least I live in Greece so if I don't make it to NYC, a trip to Germany would come cheaper and less crowded

If any of the organizers read this (sure they do): May I ask a nasty question? I'm pretty sure you tried to get all of those actors currently involved in tv drama/soap gay storylines... I'm interested in who: - 1.) said polite, but confident NO THANKS, - 2.) replied with MAYBE.../ I'll do my best, but not likely... for the invitation of the event? I'm amaized by the number of leading men you succeeded to have, but I'm VERY curious If it's private/confidential, I can totally understand that...

I can answer that..without giving too much away. No one said no, actually, it was a yes almost always right away. A couple said they were definitely interested but wanted to wait until the New Year to possibly commit because they did not know their shooting schedule. Two we never heard back from (but I believe it was their publicist..not the actors themselves) and a couple (one very sweet and delightful one) said yes, but then had to back out due to a job coming up at the last minute. And we still have a couple outstanding that we are waiting to hear from. So, we don't know if there will be any more attending or not..but you never know.

Just a little note to those thinking of attending who haven't made reservations--if you work in Travel. Check for FAM rates. Check for IATA/IATAN discounts on your travel items. Experienced travel agents have probably already done this, but just in case...
I'll be doing some travel certification courses over the next couple weeks. Just in case there is the remotest or remote possibilities of my attending. If I do, it will be based on deep discounts.

I still haven't...still arranging things. But most likely will be going to the YouTube celebration event.

Yeah...I think it's a done deal for me with the YouTube event. Especially since that's where this whole wonderful exposure to Ollian started for me...Youtube and Nanna's subs. ;D

I'm now comparing airfare to the 3 major airports to see which one is the cheapest. And I'm waiting for GOOL to finalize the hotel rates to see if I should go with their pick or something else. It would be great if we could share a room with other Chrollians to split the cost down the middle.

Hmm like 3 or 4 people in one hotel room?
If so, I'm so in!

A couple of things. ) Hotel info is up. This is where we all are staying. We have blocked off 20 rooms with a discount for our attendees. But please note. While we are staying there, and we WANT and PLAN to hold our event there, we can not contract the hotel until we meet our minimum ticket sales. So, if you are planning on purchasing a ticket, the sooner, the better. And please feel free to spread the word and invite anyone you know. It's going to fun, fun, and more fun. We have lots of things planned that we think you will enjoy. Also, we have a sign up now for a newsletter. On the front page. Be sure to sign up whether you have purchased a ticket or not so you can keep up with what is going on. Hugs! Shirley

Color me surprised! From the previous description, I was fully expecting the hotel to be the Marriot Marquis, which is about $100 per night more expensive than the Millennium. That's good news! (lowest price I'm seeing for the Millennium is about $200/night + tax) www.millenniumhotels.com/millenniumnewyork/index.htmlIt looks like they have rooms that accommodate 3 or 4. (The search function on the Millennium's site has max adult guests on the drop-box at 3). They list AAA, AARP, & Government rates. Do you have a membership with AAA or AARP (50+ y.o.)? Check your other club memberships to see if they have travel programs that offer discounts. ETA; I just called the hotel and confirmed, if this matters to anyone (besides me), that the Millennium does offer smoking rooms on the 28th & 29th floors. those are "standard" rooms, and she said those rooms have 1 King or 1 Queen. It was unclear whether those rooms also included rooms with 2 double beds, but I suspect those would be included as well on those floors.

Ha! I knew you thought it was the Marquis... If we had used them, ticket prices would be $600 for the weekend. LOL I went back and changed my description from "lobby doors" to "door" when I saw what you thought. LOL But remember guys, if you click on the link on our website, you can get the rooms for $189 and I think that same room is $249 normally. Or call and give them the promo code (it's on the website link - if you click on it). But we only have 20 rooms reserved. Hope to see you all there.. Get your tickets now..the boys will be waiting. )

I am open to sharing a room with other ChrOlli lovers. It will be the ULTIMATE slumber party. Although I doubt there would be much sleeping going on!

I plan to arrive in NY on Mar.26 (if needed I can arrive Mar.25) and leave Mar.28. Anyone interested can PM me.

Personally, I love the Millennium much more than the Marquis. But that's me. Is everyone excited? Color me surprised! If Erwin can make it to NYC for the big event...then by God...so can I. Only problem is I really need a roomy. I plan to fly in Friday morning and stay through Sunday.
If anyone is interested in sharing a room contact me at: sharon67@woh.rr.com. If the event hotel is too pricey for you and you are thinking of staying at another hotel...I am open to that option as well.
Thanks, Beth
