Zak and Lisa tell Chas about what Aaron has done with Holly. They all go to the garage and haul Aaron off to the police station. While changing his shirt, John chats with Moira about his plans to hire a good attorney.
This clip also has some good bonding moments between Mark and his sons Nathan and Ryan. Nathan is scum but he knows how to fill out a pair of jeans.
2:00-2:35, 4:00-4:50, 5:55-6:30
The four Dingles return to Paddy's house; Aaron has dropped the charges. Chas tells him how disgusted she is over the way he treated Holly. Aaron calls her a hypocrite, as he sees her as setting a bad example for women. Zak tells Moira that the charges have been dropped. John tells Moira that he still may be face problems due to his statement.

I wanted to say sorry if it seems like I've flooded the place with too many clips. I know they're a lot to wade through, and also include other stories. It's just that ITV tends to take the clips down (one of the reasons the uploader stopped updating, I'm guessing) and I wanted us to get to see the story while it was still up, since that story helps explain a lot of the problems between Aaron and the Bartons.

I thought that the Holly / Aaron interaction was all a bit lacklustre. There's no passion or any real spark between the two of them - seems to be more like going through the motions.
So nothing entirely unexpected tonight.

Just another little point of interest - a number of years ago, Paddy was married to Mandy Dingle, who is a cousin of Chastity. The official ED website does not give a dob for Aaron - but googling around I came across an old Dingle family tree site that gave Aaron a dob of 8 Mar 1993 - which makes him just over 16 years old. I kinda thought he was older than that

There're certainly a lot of clips! All good background info I'm sure though - I'll start wading through them tomorrow Thanks for searching them out.

Oh believe me, someone being made a few months older on a soap opera is absolutely nothing.
In most American soaps, children of 5 or 6 go off to summer camp and come back aged 16 or 17. ;D

I kinda thought he was older than that Aaron is at least 17. I think one of the Bartons said this during the storyline with John. They've aged him a bit from his date of birth, as they did with Victoria. Paddy and Mandy were a comic relief type of couple, but they were definitely in love. At one point she was angry at him and took money from his mother to break up with him. She married her cousin, Butch. Then she and Paddy got back together and married, only for them to break up after she had an affair. Then Butch's widow, Emily Dingle, became friends with Paddy, and they married. Their relationship wasn't very passionate, and he had an affair with Viv. This story wasn't very popular with viewers, from what I've seen. This ended with Emily finding out the truth and destroying Viv's shop. Paddy hasn't had a lot of luck with women since then either. He's a nice man though, most of the time. He was also very close friends with the village lesbian, Zoe Tate.

Here are the beginning clips of when The Barton's first arrived and started meeting the Dingles. This might be the last I upload the older clips until this weekend. Tomorrow's my birthday, and Thursday Thanksgiving, and Friday I'm having an Iron Bowl Party (It's Football), so I might just spend the next few days clipping when I have time and I'll spend the weekend uploading what I was able to get done. Sorry!

Thanks for the clips, stl! It was kind of sad to see the Bartons move in there, as that had been the Sugden farm for years (that's why Diane was a bit upset), but the show needs new blood. They killed almost all the Sugdens off.
I really liked the lorry crash story. It was nice to see Aaron try to save the day, even if no one believed him.

So nothing entirely unexpected tonight. Thanks for the info! And yeah, I agree. From the little I have seen it seems that Aaron and Adam have a lot more chemistry than Aaron and Holly, they just don't match the way A&A do. And don't worry stl29tide. We all have busy lives, and I appreciate the work you put in to this. Your clips keep me hanging on until the big episode in december. It's nice to have something to watch while I wait. Hope you have a nice weekend

The Aaron before Danny Miller is the brother to Charley Webb (Debbie) and Jamie Lomas (Warren Fox on Hollyoaks).

Thanks for the clips, stl! It was kind of sad to see the Bartons move in there, as that had been the Sugden farm for years (that's why Diane was a bit upset) Not really - in farming terms ( lol, I've got my farmer's hat on here) they hadn't really been there that long. The original farm ( Emmerdale Farm - which had the famous Annie Sugdens kitchen set) - was the sugden family home for years - Jack Sugden only moved to Butlers farm in the last few years or so. It was around about the time when they changed the show title to Emmerdale - started to concentrate on village storylines and changed the name of the village from "Beckindale" to Emmerdale.

You're right. I was just thinking of it as being the end of an era. The Sugdens had had a farm for hundreds of years. Now it was all gone, and so soon after losing Jack. John reminds me of Jack. I guess that was intentional.

Thanks sheepiefarm and 2330Becky! It was nice to see the lads show up, even though it was just for a short scene. I still think they have amazing chemistry, more so than Aaron and Holly. There's practically no sparks between them what so ever. So I see why the writers would pair up A&A instead

Having had the chance to re-watch last night's AA, I think I know what didn't sit right with me about the scene of them plus Holly. At the beginning of the scene, we see the boys getting on well (as usual ) - chatty, happy, relaxed, very natural .. and then they encounter Holly (damnit ) and the whole feel of the scene changes and things start to feel rather fake and lacklustre. Aaron goes into 'must chat up girl' act which doesn't feel at all natural or heart-felt, Holly rather half-heartedly responds to Aaron, and Adam plays the protective brother card again. Then they all go off in different directions, and the warmth from the start of the scene has evaporated. The nice AA bubble that we're seeing developing got prematurely popped!
