Very nicely written story, Neenski! (And naughty, I love it! ;D ) Definitely helps give me a much more well-rounded sense of Carsten's history, even if it is fanfic.

Now that we're past Halloween and All Saints Day, I'll go ahead and post here my submission to the Cenny fanfic contest from a couple weeks ago, which is a Christmas story for the couple. I only found out about the contest a couple days before the deadline, so I threw it all together over the course of a weekend, submitted it and crossed my fingers. It was fun to write, and even more fun to think that Felix would read it, winner or not. You'll note that I'm still learning the characters, especially the Lenny & Lucy's father, who I hadn't seen to that point. Heh. Oh well. Enjoy! Okay, now that we're to up to the point at which Carsten leaves, I can finally post about this.

I had finally thought about writing my first fanfic for anything. I'm totally captivated by the Lenny/Carsten story, and I wanted to contribute something. I had an idea for the Cenny fanfic contest, but couldn't pull my act together in time to write it. Lucky for me, though, November was just starting, and I joined my partner in NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. I could take the idea I had for the short fanfic, and make a novel out of it. Or at least, I could try. I made it to 15,000 words before I couldn't go any further.

So, what was it about, you might ask? Well, I first started out with a pseudo-dream sequence as the whole, short fanfic. What might have happened had Carsten not reached out and touched Lenny's neck at the Swansee. I thought I could try to see what would have happened instead of the events as they unfolded, things would have gone rough for them. At the last moment, though, Carsten would have woken up to find Lenny in his bed, and would have ended with a kiss and Lenny saying "I'm here for you, always, my love." or something similarly sapoy.

I took that idea, and expanded it, in order to fill 50,000 words, instead of 2,000. Instead of it being a dream sequence, it was kind of an alternate universe, things following a different path. Yet, Carsten could still feel the echoes of what had 'really' happened (that stuff that had actually happened on the show), and would be terribly confused. And each day would get progressively worse and worse for our dear Carsten. I wanted it to be worse, so that when things got 'fixed', it would be a sort of happy ending for the guys.

Why did I stop? Because I had been keeping up with the spoilers, and I saw that the 'actual reality' was going to go badly for Carsten and for Lenny. Very, very badly. And I couldn't think of a way to make the 'adjusted reality' worse for him than it was going to turn out.

Someday, perhaps, I'll think about writing a fanfic for Carsten and Lenny. I'll have to see how things shake out from this latest series of events.
