Nina lives, Mike dies. This was revealed last night during the first GTST Live show. I was supposed to go to one of the shows today but I'm not feeling well.  They do have a livestream tonight so I might watch it that way (for €4,99). |

What usually happens on a GTST Live? Do they talk about the upcoming season? Would Dave be there with Ferry?

They show the season premiere and after that there are interviews with the cast. There are usually a few clips as well (like some bloopers). I don't think Dave was there... And he also tweeted that he's still not allowed to talk about his future on the show. BTW, he wasn't the only one who wasn't there. Cynthia wasn't there either.

I hope you feel better, Mark. All indicators pointed to Mike dying so it's not much of a surprise. But perhaps he wasn't the intended target. I still think it was Monica trying to kill Aysen.

I saw the season premiere. Cynthia Abma deserves an award. She was great. I thought the episode was very good. Loved the suspense at the beginning. Even though I already knew it was Mike. Both Lucas and Menno were in the episode although they didn't appear in the same scenes. Mike was still in the opening so we still don't know if Menno is staying or not. Dave did have another 'I'm not alowed to talk about it' tweet this afternoon. Some other news: GTST will be filmed in HD soon.  |

I think Dave is still working at the show. Today he tweeted this photo:  He also wrote that he found it in his mailbox. He used the Dutch word 'postvakje'. In Dutch we usually use that word for a mailbox we have at work. For the version at home we use the word 'brievenbus'. So I'm thinking he found this present in his 'postvakje' at the Endemol studios.  |

I'm not understanding though why they can't even say if Menno's a part of the cast now. We know Mike's dead, and I can get why Dave can't talk about the show just like other actors in the cast couldn't say much about the show in general either, but they should at least be able to speak to if Menno's going to stick around.

That's a big mystery to me as well. With Bilal they just told us. That's why I'm hopeful it will be different this time. At some point they'll have to remove Mike from the opening. Maybe that's when we'll know for sure. |

Yeah, I can't really think of why it'd matter for them to keep his cast status a secret like this unless they want the surprise of Menno showing up in the credits.

It's telling to me too that all the drama is keeping Lucas and Menno apart and focused on everything else for what looks like weeks into the season. Like, not much interaction at all. And they ended on good note last season. They're making us wait for it.

Ferry did say something big and spectacular is going to happen. No idea what that means... But it wouldn't surprise me if eventually the show wants to have a gay wedding. The Netherlands was the first country with same-sex marriage (12 years ago). It would make sense to see that on the show as well. My advice for Lucas and Menno would be to get married in the winter. Summer weddings in Meerdijk tend to be catastrophic.  But I think their scenes at the start of the season will be mostly about the investigation. In RTL Boulevard they showed a few short clips of the new season: Menno at Mike's cremation and Lucas and Menno at the police station where Lucas wants to know if Menno suspects his family. That's obviously going to cause tension between them. I hope they'll be able to get past that. Another failed relationship for Lucas would be disappointing. I don't mind the problems, drama and break-ups, but I want something longterm for Lucas. And I just really like Menno. And Dave who portrays him. |

I agree so much, Mark. I want to see Lucas get married and live with Menno. Just no bloody triangles!
And I think/hope they'll be able to get past it too. Lucas suspects Ludo himself.

As long as Lucas' heart belongs to Menno now. Bilal can come back and plead but it make no difference  . I need for Lucas and Menno to only ever be into each other  . I couldn't deal with another Edwin/Ron type situation. I'd even accept an old crazy ex of Menno's showing up for just a little bit of drama. He could be fatal attraction besties with Wiet |

At the airport. There was apparently a security camera. This footage was already part of the app. I made a screencap:  It looks like a woman. Maybe Lucas thinks it might be Nina? |

Oooh, ok. So this would be at the airport where they all did the skydiving?
And that definitely is a woman. So the only woman with motive to try and kill Mike and was there was Nina. But it could have also been Aysen or Wiet trying to kill other people and there was a mix-up of the parachutes.
At least we can narrow it down now.

Just added the September 13 spoilers. Looks like Rikki will be taking her break of three months. It makes sense because she debuted on the show a couple of weeks before Sjoerd did.

Okay, I think I have some bad news. Not sure if it's seen as a spoiler or not. But anyway... I found this second version of the cast photo on GTST's Facebook page. Mike is gone, but Menno is not in it... Still, this doesn't confirm anything (but it's not looking good). It's possible the writers have decided to keep Menno after they noticed his popularity. And maybe that was after this photo was taken... Okay, I know. I'm grasping at straws here.  If Menno leaves they better come up with something great for Lucas! |
