Spoilers from Soapzone, which sound like tomorrow's (Wednesday, 7/1/09) episode:
Fish and Kyle experience a tense moment. Kyle hassles Fish for being dudly do-right. Fish goes out with Layla, while Kyle lustily looks on from the bar. A customer sends a free drink Kyle's way, but Kyle turns it down, in favor of lusting after Fish. Blair can clearly see Cristian is pining away for Layla.

SOW Summary Article This week viewers learn a little bit more about Kyle and Fish’s mysterious past together. Fish is a lovable character while Kyle makes questionable decisions, which makes him a bit of a screw-up. This makes their relationship interesting. Cristian’s gaydar goes into high alert when he ends up reading a letter Fish has written to Kyle. Cristian has feelings for Layla and is very protective of her because she’s been hurt in relationships many times and if she falls for Fish she’ll be headed for heartbreak again. Early on, Layla asks Fish if he is actually gay. He denies he is and so she believes him. Cristian is a different story and refuses to let go until he knows the truth about his relationship with Kyle. Layla even tells him to stay out of it but he still can’t let it go. Once Fish is more deeply involved with Layla the past really comes forward. Then there is this other guy, Nick, who is going to ask out Kyle, leading to a lot of questions. Will jealously rear its ugly head? Does Kyle want this? Does Fish want Kyle? What exactly happened during college? daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8157971/1/

From daytime confidential Set your DVRs now boys and boys and girls and girls. One Life to Live's refreshingly-organic gay couple Kyle (Brett Claywell) and Fish (Scott Evans) will kiss on Aug. 6, according to this week's Suds Report! With CBS being justly criticized for the lack of physical affection between their gay couples — GL’s Otalia, Y&R’s Radam, and World Turns’ Nuke — it’s nice to see that ABC is the only network that refuses to treat their gay lovers any different from their heterosexual counterparts. On AMC, Rianca was shown making love and kissing up a storm almost every episode (Well, when she wasn’t macking on Zach, that is). Not to be outdone, Suds Report has learned that fledgling couple Kyle and Fish will indeed kiss on-screen on Aug. 6, so if you’re not watching One Gay To Love, start tuning in now. The Kish storyline is by far the most interesting story on the soap and is quickly becoming the most realistic gay coupling on daytime. Look for an exclusive interview with Brett Claywell (Kyle) and Scott Evans (Fish) next week at Out.com. daytimeconfidential.com/2009/07/17/oltls-kish-to-kiss-onscreen#comment-74821

Casting news from SOD: www.soapoperadigest.com/news/breaking/Real Life Mom Plays Reel Mom on OLTL In a charming casting twist, Lisa Evans will play her son Scott Evans' (Fish) soap mom on upcoming episodes of ONE LIFE TO LIVE. "She came to set a couple of weeks ago, and I wanted to show her around and she met Frank (Valentini, executive producer)," shares Evans. "My mother is very personable and I'd mentioned to Frank that she was a dancer growing up and we've done plays together. When I was a little kid I'd say, 'Mom, come do this play with me,' and she'd say, 'Ok.' It was easier for her, instead of just driving me to rehearsal, she could be in the show. She runs a children's theater, and Frank was like, 'Would she want to do it?' She didn't audition or anything. He put his trust in me, I guess." Playing his mother's son was a breeze. "It's incredible! I get to work with my mother. We have some really fun scenes coming up where it's just us two talking and it's really just us two talking. When I say, 'Mom' it's definitely not acting, it's absolutely real," smiles Evans. J. Tucker Smith has been cast as Fish's father. Their names are, wait for it, Barbara and George Fish. They'll first air Sept 16.

I just updated the spoilers about the kiss... :(Nothing for next week (july 27th to july 31th) But... :-*COMING SOON: Week of 8/3 Cristian gets an eyeful when he spots Fish at the diner, and he demands that Layla be told the truth. I guess that Fish and Kyle finally kiss and Cristian see them... Also, In Scott Evans online interview he said that Christian sees Fish & Kyle kissing. The statement was quickly removed. I think that's the "Friday Surprise" (now Monday because of the MJ service) that was mentioned in the spoilers for Christian. Cristian busts Fish doing something untoward. He gets in Fish’s face about doing right by Layla.

From SOD:
After much ado, OLTL's secretly gay Kyle and Fish will share their first onscreen kiss on August 6. When the "Kish" buzz started online, Brett Claywell shares, "A casting associate in Hollywood who knows me wrote me and was like, 'Congrats on the storyline!' and I was like, 'What are you talking about?' So I went online and thought, 'And so it begins.'" Claywell and his co-star Scott Evans, however, were already in the know about "Kish." "We saw what they were hinting at [in the writing.] But now that we're getting more and more into the characters and we've been told more information, we're just trying to play it truthfully and honestly, every moment of it."

More on the Kiss on 8-6 from daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8166502/1/Despite Fish's attempt to steer clear of Kyle, they end up in a kiss this week and someone sees the lip lock! Fish is the one to seek out Kyle, basically to tell him to leave him alone. Fish doesn't want his past history to be a part of his present or future. Fish pulls him out of the Buenos Dias Café, and they're talking and talking and suddenly it just sort of happens. "It catches him off guard, and then they get caught," admits Scott Evans. Fish's reaction is completely genuine. For a second Fish gets caught up in the kiss but immediately after they're caught he's back to convincing himself that "No, I don't have feelings for him or anything. He tries his damnedest to figure himself out, but I don't think he even knows what he is. It's a very big struggle for him," explains Evans. Although they were romantically involved in college, Fish believes that was just a phase he went through but seeing Kyle again brings up all these past emotions and struggles, and all these things he put away. Now that those feelings are starting to resurface, it couldn't have come at a worse time. Especially given who the person is that caught them and what he/she could do with the information.

Soapnet August Preview ;D: Over at the (Oliver) Fish tank, it seems that young officer Fish can’t make up his mind about what team he’s playing for. While he continues to romance Layla (much to Cristian’s dismay) he also wrestles with his leftover feelings for Kyle. What’s he do? Making out with Kyle is a start. Too bad Cristian witnesses the whole thing. sn.soapnet.go.com/news/article/one-life-to-live-august-2009-preview?page=0,1
