In the meantime, after a very long night (or very short, depending on how one looks at it) during which they drank champagne, and Luis Fernández (of Los Protegidos fame) dropped by to have a drink with them and took that picture: (Sorry, the link went bad on that one, somehow) the pair is now up and Úrsula took him to lunch to a "very posh" place, as usual. "And I go with my punk jacket and people don't get it": Two remarks: - Úrsula Corberó is currently shooting with Luis Fernández and Maxi Iglesias (and Óscar Sinela) a film produced by Antena 3 Films, called XP3D, which stands for Paranormal Xperience 3D: "a group of young people get lost in a forest, with paranormal consequences". That shoot was the official reason why neither Úrsula nor Maxi joined everybody else for the final sequence of 77, last Monday. (As I already pointed out, Maxi's character, Ángel, was killed in the Season 2 finale of Los Protegidos. Let's see if he'll return as a ghost in Season 3.) Anyway, more on that project here: www.antena3.com/antena3-films/Noticias/maxi-iglesiasnos-metemos-tanto-papel-que-pasamos-miedo_2011053000115.html- JC's page on Twitter has had for some time now as a background a picture taken from Godard's À bout de souffle. It should come as no surprise that a poster for that film figured very prominently in the bedroom of Fer and David.

As was to be expected, that birthday party is turning weird: Luis Fernández is the guy on the left. Only half an hour to go before that twitcam.

This morning, Javier Calvo was having a photo session for Shangay Magazine. Last November, as he was accepting his award with Adrián Rodríguez and Sergio Mur, he mentioned he had done his first interview ever with them. Let's hope there is one today as well; it would seem fitting, since, by his own admission, he's become an adult playing Fer, and more than that, he has found himself playing Fer.

You mean, at the photo session? Not originally but.... he just twitted about it: Adrián is by his side at the photo session. So there is hope we'll get a picture yet. In the meantime, he says he's fallen in love with the bike and gets to keep it.

There's a nice slideshow of Javi/Fer through the years on the foq website. He has always been such a cutie! One features his purple pants so by the truest of definitions this photo sildeshow is a complete success.

This is probably a little bit off topic from Fisica o Quimica specifically, but I just joined this board because I didn't realize how successful Javier had become until I started watching this show! I'm an actor in LA and things just started to pick up for me earlier this year (career wise), and my agent was talking about how one of our former firm's clients was doing really well in Spain. Javier's agent, Laura Gonzalez, with Kuranda Management, was close with the main agent at my firm in LA and encouraged me to consider working under their wing. He came up in conversation once when they encouraged me to go see a film he did that premiered at the Florida Film Festival and talk to him (The Widow, I think?) but I was busy at the time. It wouldn't have been crucial career wise because I didn't want to pursue a career outside of LA, but since then...I'm glad to his career has taken off. Such a small world And of course, I should mention that I'm pretty hooked on the show now too.

I'll keep you posted on that. I know of a strong theatrical agency out here that specializes in Telemundo shows that would make an offer to rep him in the US. I wonder if he knows that he could get work in the US...it would be great for his career too.

Well, he was in NYC for two months this winter, so this is something that must have crossed his mind.

oh awesome! Yeah, there was hype about his film, The Widow, in the LA circuit too which is where my film was but it ended up only staying in Florida, and I was disappointed cause I wanted to be able to meet him at some point. He's definitely on the radar of several agencies out here in LA. One specifically called Alvarado Rey agency...they rep a lot of big telenovela stars. I'm crossing my fingers cause I think he could do well in the US.

Today was, I guess, Javier Calvo's first post-Fer TV appearance, but actually not quite. He was the surprise guest of a weekly TV show called "Cerca de ti" (Near You) on the Castilla-La Mancha regional TV channel (aka RTVCM), that focused this week on ex-FoQ co-star Angy Fernández. And he travelled all the way to Toledo from Madrid to surprise her. I'll link to the video when it's put online by the channel.
