Trust Entertainment, the small indie production company who previously gave us 'The Star' and 'Bagan Beginning' are back, with financial backing from sponsor Beauty Diary to give us this new BL themed story. The title actually translates as 'Katmandou' but has been given the English title of 'Just In Time' and once again stars Vita Min and Zaw Shine Htet as the story's central couple Ko Thein Myat Min and Nway Oo. Apparently these two actors have made quite an impression on the younger Burmese demographic and are already being referred to as their country's first BL ship (under the name of 'Vitashine'). It has been written and directed by Kelvin who also helmed the company's previous BL series. Although this was originally intended as a BL mini-series, it looks like the company have decided to keep it intact and put it out as a short film instead. Although it's fairly tepid, it has a strong emphasis on the country's culture and aesthetics, which I thought was pleasant to watch. Unfortunately, the sponsors have made sure they get their money's worth with a few adverts (featuring the two actors) slotted into the video and some splash visuals popping up on screen as the story plays out. They're a bit intrusive but it can't be helped I suppose. Here's the full 40 minute film:
