You Are Mine (aka 'Absolute Occupation') - Taiwan

This series from Vidol in partnership with the Weiwang Co is part of the 'VBL Originals' project of which this is the second release following 'Stay By My Side'. The project started out under the name 'Absolute Occupation', a title it has retained domestically but for its international release has been rechristened to 'You Are Mine'. It stars Chi-Sheng Mao and Tiger Hsiao as the central couple Xiao Shang-Zhou and Yao Shun-Yu, with support from Angel Hong and Yorke Sun.


   


Synopsis: "It's widely known in the business world that the employees of the Xia Company are known for their uncommonly good looks. That being the case, Yao Shun-Yu didn't really think he stood a chance of landing a job there. Even so, he decided to try his luck and was more than a little surprised when he was actually offered a position at the company. Firmly believing that working hard will eventually lead to a better life, Shun-Yu goes into his new job with an optimistic mindset. While he doesn't exactly fit in when it comes to physical appearance, his hard work does earn him the attention of his boss, Xiao Shang-Zhou; though perhaps not in the way he would have liked. Always finding ways to tease the kindhearted Shun-Yu, Shang-Zhou adds an undue amount of extra pressure to Shun-Yu's already stressful job. Despite the burden of work and Shang-Zhou's antics, Shun-Yu settles well into his new job. But events take a complicated turn when he finds himself on a blind date with his boss. Unsure where things ought to go from here, Shun-Yu begins to wonder, where does one draw the line between what is business and what is pleasure? Especially when it starts to look like he may end up in the boss's bed!"

This series is a lot of fun, light hearted and silly. I'm glad I started watching it, wasn't sure at the beginning. And a nice break from some other recent series which I've found a bit annoying at times.

You have to love something with lines like:
"You had a nightmare in the middle of the night. I worried you'd hurt yourself. So I slept on top of you"
"[* unintelligible gay murmuring *]"

I'm watching on Gaga, not sure how the translations are on Viki.
