This series is based on the manga of the same name by Hanage no Mai, although the title was slightly anglicised to 'Takara and Amagi' when it was originally released for western audiences. The eponymous couple are played by Sato Arata (a member of the Idol group IMPACTors) as Takara, and Oriyama Nao (part of the 22 member Shounen Boy Ninja group) as Amagi. Support roles are provided by Komiya Rio as Tanaka and Suzuki Kosuke as Katori. The series has been adapted and directed by Yoshino Mamoru who previously helmed 'Mr Unlucky Has No Choice But To Kiss!'.

Synopsis: "Takara belongs to the most prominent group in his class and is always popular with the others, while Amagi is more quiet but is still bright, energetic and generally well-liked. Although they are classmates the boys have no direct interaction with each other due to the differences in their peer groups, but in fact, both have surreptitiously become interested in the other. Realising that their attraction may be love, Takara and Amagi decide to secretly go out together without telling anyone else. However, Amagi, who is confounded by Takara's mysterious lack of words and actions is pushed to make an important decision... "

There will be eight episodes, lasting thirty minutes each, starting on Friday 19th August on MBS (Japan). No details of an international release have yet been announced, although the last three BL's shown in the same MBS 'Serie Y slot' were all eventually picked up by GagaOOLala.
