That is unfortunately correct The double standard is annoying, they can show two men shirtless in bed together, but letting them kiss is a big no-no... wtf?!

I feel like with these telenovelas out of Latin America, it's typically one small step forwards and then two giants steps back. I really thought/hoped the popularity of Aristemo, allowing them to kiss and even developing their own spin-off, was a turning point. Yet since then, this is at least the second telenovela where the gay couple isn't allowed to kiss onscreen. It's like Relaciones Peligrosas so many years ago.

People think telenovelas are all the same, but it's clear that in countries like Argentina the gay afection is way less problematic.

Apparently they did get to kiss! At least once. I know it's not great and the straight characters are portrayed way better, plenty of kissing and sex for them. But we all know telenovelas are way behind, sadly.
