Jack finally reappears in the spoilers for the week of 5 September. I'm leaving in the Dawn spoilers because you know Jack is going to be all up in her business once he discovers she's sleeping in her car. Also the Marty spoilers because I'm sure this has to do with Esther and by extension Jack.

Monday 5 September (7538) - Dawn can't hide anymore.

Tuesday 6 September (7539) - Marty puts his body on the line. Dawn finds a kindred spirit.

Wednesday 7 September (7540) - Marty keeps his options open. Leanne takes Dawn under her wing.

Thursday 8 September (7541) - Jack fights back. Monique gets a rude awakening.

Friday 9 September (7542) - Marty looks for comfort in all the wrong places. Jack is called out.

The first one is really puzzling (given the spoiler writers' penchant for wordplay, it might be a real goose?) and I really hope the second one isn't about Stanley dying. (There's also "Wilder takes the plunge" on Thursday, which I suspect is actually a baptism into Brightshine, because the next day is "Maeve has her worst nightmare".)

Poor Stanley has been almost dying for a year now so I wouldn't be surprised. I could see it being Esther or Dawn though - not dying, but a falling out with them.

That sounds about right for Wilder. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts to distance himself from Maeve due to her being a lesbian.

I did snort when TK told David that Brightshine was associated with hate groups in the US. TK dear, I don't think homophobia is an exclusively American problem. It's interesting though - the moment bisexual Raj exits, the health authority sends in someone who doesn't care about homophobia and is rooting for Brightshine to finance the new children's wing. Could that be why they wrote out Raj? Personally, I think they should've kept Raj and had him on the side of financial desperation, and let that be a point of conflict for him and Jack.

Is the actor playing Dawn's pastor BF queer IRL? He really pings my gaydar but I don't think his character's meant to be a closet case.

Ah okay ... if it's an acting choice then I suppose he could be Jack's next big love since he didn't get to compete with one of his besties for her man (Esther for Rahu).

There was never any hint of Raj being bi in the past, if anything he came off as asexual because unlike every other character, he didn't try to get it off with another hospital employee, LOL.

I was reading David Kearney's bio and he has quite the past. Prior to his reappearance at Boyd's wedding to Zara as his mother's new partner, he hadn't been on the show for over 20 years since he exited in 1999. He is also connected to Carla - he was married to her sister and they had a baby daughter who died of SIDS. I had actually been wondering if he could be Vivienne's biological father, if she ever returns and they ever revisit that unresolved plot point about her paternity. I always assume they will have him be a character on the show and so far the only one who fit the bill was Stanley, which while possible, isn't very probable. The actor playing David Kearney is only about 15 years older than the Vivienne actress and I don't think they intend to have had Vivienne's mother commit statutory rape with her baby daddy, but perhaps Vivienne is meant to be in her late 40s and David is slightly older than his portrayer, they could be about 20 years apart? It was implied Vivienne's parents had married quite young (late teens or early 20s) so maybe she had an affair with a contemporary.

What do you all think happened to Jack's crush on Rahu? The writers heavily implied that he liked Rahu, there was even a big deal of Dawn noticing Jack's crush and Jack being jealous of Dawn and Rahu. But since she commented on it a couple months ago, it's been ignored.

Seems like the Esther actress getting pregnant caused many stories to change. They may pick it up at some point once the baby story is over and they cycle back to Rahu/Esther if Rahu even sticks around.

TK is often insufferable but his taking that money after promising his sister otherwise was only as appalling as Cece encouragibg him to take it. I thought she was level headed one.

Jack being named head of ED is ridiculous. That job generally goes to experienced doctors and Jack got is degree after only 2 years of med school. LOL

There's no Jack in the TV Guide spoilers for the next 2 weeks. The show should air its winter finale on 16 December. It's a safe bet the Brightshine story will reach a climax.

Tuesday, November 29: Dawn is disturbed by de ja vu. TK faces an impossible decision. Maeve hunts for answers.

Friday, December 2: Madonna loses it. Logan puts on a brave face.

Monday, Novermber 28: Despite reassuring Marc of her love for him, Madonna remains concerned about Viliami's welfare, and is desperate to check up on him after Dawn admits to being too distracted with Wilder's death to mind her flatmate. Though Logan urges Madonna to keep her distance, he reluctantly agrees to keep an eye on Vili in her stead.

Tuesday, November 29: When it transpires that Vili collapsed with pneumonia an upset Madonna lashes out at TK for cutting more hospital resources, and will Dawn's suspicions of foul play cost her her relationship?

Wednesday, November 30: A determined TK resists cutting resources, instead selling shares in Shortland Street. When Gia later sees TK's obvious love for an upset Tillie, she softens and TK's relieved for a thawing.

Thursday, December 1: Though TK tries to reassure her, Harper is anxious about her upcoming court appearance - and fears losing her HOD position if convicted. When a fire breaks out in a nearby suburb Harper's determined to get the best out of her ED to prove herself.

Monday, December 5: (no spoilers)

Tuesday, December 6: Rahu withdraws his resignation with TK, who's pleased to keep a good doctor but unhappy with Rahu for stringing Ngaio along.
Though Rahu's keen on Gia, she rejects him - keen to keep the work place problem-free. TK warns Gia off Rahu and, frustrated by TK's paternalism, Gia impulsively asks Rahu out.

Wednesday, December 7: Gia successfully treats a patient with an injured foot. Jack wants the patient discharged but Gia's concerned with other symptoms that indicate bowel disease. Jack dismisses, so Gia hides the patient around the hospital - with Rahu's help. Later, Esther proves Gia's instincts were correct, leaving Jack embarrassed.

Thursday, December 8: Chris is uneasy when TK insists he take Rebekah out for a schmoozy lunch. However, before they can leave, an MVA requires Chris to stay and help out in ED. Rebekah is impressed with the teamwork and decides to chip in - alerting the team to two very unwell patients left sitting out in triage. After the chaos dies down, Chris and Rebekah share a quiet moment, a new mutual respect and friendship forming.

Friday, December 9: Logan ropes Dawn into helping TK think that he's fit for light duties at work again. But Dawn insists that they share deep and meaningful chats. Next day, Logan helps a young couple when their vehicle has a flat battery. TK’s impressed with Logan's fresh charitable attitude - and insists that Chris and Rebekah follow suit - not just throw money around. Later, Logan is shocked when he finds an abandoned baby in his ambulance.

They just did this with Rahu and Jack months ago. Is this being done to show Jack how arrogant he's become, or is it just lazy writing?

I think it's to show that he's becoming more arrogant, yeah. This is becoming a pattern. And if they revisit Jack's crush on Rahu, it could be about jealousy? Jack has become quite biased and he sometimes let's those biases get in the way of work and how he treats people, but I don't think he realizes it. When he thought Dawn and Rahu were flirting a couple of months ago, he was quite rude.

I find it irritating that Jack must be shown in a bad light to embellish newbie characters like Gia or Rahu.

Monday's ep description says that Rahu asks the wrong questions and Tuesday's ep descriptions said that Gia hides a game changer. I've watched both of these episodes, and I don't even recall Rahu or Gia being in them.

I mentioned this in the main thread but it's been happening a while. A few weeks ago there were spoilers that were meant to air that week about Chris being warned off opposing Rebekah. That didn't happen until last week. There were also some spoilers back in 2022 during Dawn's absence that still mentioned her as being there.

Spoilers and preview for next week - good news is that, for the first time in a long time, Jack's in three of them.

Monday 27 February (7938) - Rahu's crushed. Madonna's in agony. TK's torn.

Tuesday 28 February (7939) -Drew is exposed. Leanne lets slip.

Wednesday 1 March (7940) - Jack's good intentions backfire. Drew faces the consequences to his actions. Leanne's stubbornness puts her in danger.

Thursday 2 March (7941) - Jack finds mud sticks. Marty sees himself in Rahu.

Friday 3 March (7942) - Helping Jack gets Monique in hot water.
