Upcoming show - another outing as a gay character for Manu Rios (model, musician, actor from Spain) last seen in Elite. Here is the trailer: Courtesy of the production company's channel (ATRESplayer Premium, www.youtube.com/channel/UCMSOVP8zZq8BGwAJ2sEtOHw). I have no idea if they will have English subtitles or if it will be distributed anywhere.

Looks interesting, and that was an interesting plot twist at the end. It certainly doesn't seem like the gay storyline will be sidelined in this. The only concern is finding subtitles and whether they will go with the jail ending.

La edad de la ira is not a telenovela but a tv series.
It's based on a popular young adult novel (written by a popular gay writer).
It has some plot holes but it's entertainning and has several gay characters

[You can put your response behind spoiler tags] I'm not sure we'll get the chance to follow this series, especially with English subtitles, since it's not on one of the international streaming platforms.

I read the novel in 2011 so i don't remember everything (but i always thought it could make a good tv show from the material). What people watch at the end it's really the beginning, in the novel a journalist is investigating the crime, and there are several main characters (the three teenagers, the journalist and a gay teacher).
First, the triangle is quite curious, the character that plays Manu Ríos is a charismatic leader on class but he is the black sheep of his family, he is gay and he is in love with his best friend (who is not as charismatic or handsome), his best friend is in love with the female friend and she loves the Manu Ríos character so they end sleeping all together and develoving a strong bonding.
He is accussed of killing his father and put one of his younger brothers into a comma, but the truth is his father hit on his brother and he was killed by the younger brother (they are four brothers) who has problems with his temper.
The end is open, because the journalist discovers the truth but we don't know what he is going to do with that truth. The main character is protecting his younger brother

I read the novel in 2011 so i don't remember everything (but i always thought it could make a good tv show from the material). Thanks for the recap. It does sound interesting and I'm glad the conclusion wasn't as cut and dry as the trailer made it out to be (although of course, it would be a very bad trailer that gave away the ending like that!) Hoping one of the international streamers buys the rights so we can get it subtitled! A bit depressing if Manu's character goes to prison for a crime he didn't commit, to protect his little brother - surely the little brother has a better case of self-defense if he has been beaten into a coma by their dad plus his youth, versus an openly gay man going to prison where he'd be an instant target.
The younger brother doesn't seem to be a main character here, the brother in the promos played by Carlos Alcaide seems like older to Manu? Or is it because he's in a coma most of the time?

They are four brothers, one is older (he is the golden boy and his father's favourite), the second brother is the main character and he has two younger brothers (at least in the novel).
None of the brothers is a main character
